  1. I was just wondering about the masses of negative feedbacks of the last 12 month. Definatly a no-go for me, don't matter what the quality says.

    Atlantis 2

What about the carts without picture label (silver with text)? Is there any way to identify Atlantis 2 or is the score font the only way to check?
  3. This guy isn't just sick. He simply wants to make money by fooling some clueless yuppies. OK, maybe they deserve it because they support this kind of a**ho** by buying this trash, but that doesn't change the fact that this looser is a betrayer and doesn't make any secret of it. I hate those... nah you know what I mean...
  4. Thorsten Frings changesfrom Werder Bremen to FC Toronto! Yesss... Go "Lutscher", go! :-)

  5. You're welcome Yes, it's him: Banana Joe in a photo booth Maybe you can list some other titles you're still missing for Atarimania? I have for sure a lot of other "strange" things in my PAL collection. Would be no problem for me to scan BTW: This cart is missing in the AA rarity guide
  6. I have the Summer Games in my collection. It has one of those ugly, flabby, thin plastic cover they used in the very late 80's. Like Pick'n'Pile. It has the same cover without front label. It's often a little "squeezy" to get it into the cart holder, because of the bad accuracy of the cart measurements.
  7. Definitely Decathlon (if it's included in FB)! The Looser (or the winner if the drinks are tasty) has to drink after every screwed discipline
  8. That's exactly the question I was asking in another Thread. But it doesn't seems that there are any proper sources with labels
  9. Ahhhh... you mean this is a simple whiteboard marker which can be simply removed by rubbing it (dry) off? Now I understand how it works. The solvents of the marker dissolving the permanent marker color and then it's possible to rub it off. I thought the dry erase marker would be some kind of special pen to remove permanent color from whiteboards, like some kind of "graffity-Ex" (silly me) Thanx for the Info! @Itchy Thanx for trying this "new" kind of color removing! Now we all have another weapon to fight the scribbles
  10. I have to admit that I've never heard of a "dry erase marker". Can you show me an example what it is? Or maybe does anybody know the German word for it?
  11. It's raining cats and dogs for 3 days now.

Just perfect to play Atari :-)

  12. Dammit! I just ruined another Joystick (Competition Pro) with Decathlon. AGAIN *grrrr*... Gotta train my gross motor skills... OK, solderingtime to make one out of two AGAIN :-)

Thanks for the Info, but I don't think they will ship to Germany :-(

  13. Do you know the CD shelfes from Deja (no, not me) ? They used a simple lock system to hold the CDs on place. On the backside of the slot, there's a kind of spring or spring steel sheet (actual made of plastic). In front there is a little kind of bump on the lower part of the slot to keep the CD in position. To eject the CD you simply have to lift it up over the bump and it springs out a little, so you can easy take it out of the slot. Simple but very effective and it looks real good and "tidy" Thus should be easy to (re)build for Atari carts
  14. Rich, I understand and I respect your work and your feelings about that but you also have to see the other side od the medal: If someone buys one of your refurbished consols he owns it. In this case he can decide by himself what's he gonna do with it. Some of them keep it like it is and protecting it like the holy grail, others modify it to their needs. Both cases are the way it is and there's nothing heretical on it. When I see rich people buying very old cars and modifying it to the edge with golden rims, air scoops and sporty stripes I could puke too, but they bought it and they decided to (maybe) destroy the original, doesn't matter if someone took 2 years of restoring it to mint state. Game consoles are build to play, so play with it like YOU want. I will also modify my old, good looking Vader with an pause module and that doesn't change my love to it in any way! If you can't life with this fact that people doing other things than just gaming with "your" consoles you should think about to keep every single device you've repaired. This is not ment to be an attack of any kind, just my 2 cents

    Newbie here

Hi Prab and welcome, looks like a real good base for a nice collection Nice Mix of different brands. What's the state of the carts? Are they in good "shape"?
  16. Well done, Oliver! About 2 weeks ago I've found an old 2600 Jr. on the fleemarket. It looked terrible. A corner of the cover was completely missing, the switches were immovable and the 3 carts laying nearby in the messy box where also looking terrible. It was comparable with a real bin. My hard was nearly broken. The arab looking guy tryed to sell me all that dead trash with the words "Hey my friend! This is all vintage and a real classic!". The only part what didn't look completely ruined was "Atari Real Sports Boxing". He wanted to get 2,50 Euro for it. After laughing out loud I gave him 1 Euro and told him he had to be happy about that money. (Lousy, mean Atari-tantalizer" I thought by myself) After a real deep cleaning of all parts it looks real good again. Not perfect but rescued from the sure dead The more I'm happy about your rescue mission of the old 6er. It's really looking great!

  18. That's the way I will handle it Thanx and greeting from Germany to Germany
  19. Thanx and yes that really sucks Yes that's true. Most of these paper labels (like Atari red labels) are very "touchy" to all liquids. You also have to be very carefull with Quelle PAL carts. They don't like rubbing in any kind. When it can be removed softly then it's ok, else leave it! But WD40 is a real good suggestion! You can also remove all kinds of sticker leftovers with this stuff. That can be a really good alternative. I will try that next time
  20. Like the topic says... does PAL (UK) carts run properly on German Atari VCS without modifying something? There are several UK carts on ebay which were very interesting to me
