How much does GameGravel get for holding this auction?
Supposedly nothing but a great deal in publicity. Smart move on Mike's part!

Holy crap. Im glad i mentioned that address. Hopefully this will lead to us uncovering the secrets of air raid.
Either you're very bad at reading sarcasm or I'm really crappy at knowing whether or not you're just trolling.
I'll go with the first one, read the topic and know that the address has been known for weeks now and people have been looking into it a while...

Shouldn't all his bids be removed then? I know they don't matter at the moment, but you never know. eBay is very bad in those situations because when someone retracts his highest bid, all the others stay in and the auction ends on the second highest bidder. This means that even though the previous high bidder doesn't want the item, he still forces the other people to pay his second bid price... That is not so in this case, but still he remains in there with a few bids.

If you'd read the first post of this topic, you would know the answer.

I guess you have been very lucky with eBay then so far or haven't done too many deals there. I've encountered a lot of canceled auctions, bids withdrawn for "putting the wrong amount", items not received or even sellers looking for revenge when I honestly didn't receive anything...
Either way, back on topic. There is no more need to bid on this. The item has been sold and will be shipped on Monday.

The highest offer was (is?) indeed 250 USD. One of the offers is officially withdrawn and I don't know if the other one still stands.
From that message, I understood that you meant 55 Euro shipping included since it said "with that shipping price". Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Was the edge label a little pealed off before you opened it up?
Yes it was. There is no need to touch the label to open up the cart.
So what's the deal, offers in the thread or via PM, milk it as much as possible and then offer it somewhere else starting at the end price?

So I guess we decided to skip the decency side and throw the frustration in the open? cfr the story below.
There's a story here, sorry if it's improper but I'll try anyway.
I put an offer on eBay initially:
eBay Auction -- Item Number: 190538830801
Then started to communicate with the seller and was offered to buy it, he could take the auction down and sell it privately. I started out slow, not really hoping to get it for 40 Euro, shipping was supposed to be about 15 Euro.
Then I felt that I may have started too low so I offered 60 Euro before getting a reply. Got a reply that he wanted to check things out first as he didn't know what it was.
I never received that second offer. If I had, it would have risen more suspicion about its value.
The value, which you clearly stated in the second or third message you sent me as not high at all.
Then finally got an OK for the initial 55 Euro with shipping. Being at my job I didn't notice he had sent another e-mail about ten minutes later canceling the whole deal for a better offer from a AA forum member... So I sent the payment but it was returned.
Had things been about 10 minutes delayed there it would probably have been paid and accepted, since the other forum member was about to leave the computer for important matters in reality.
Anyway, I then noticed the auction got canceled, with my single bid only at the start price of 0.99 Euro for all nine carts (other carts being lower numbered low value carts).
I felt the most fair way would be to let the auction run, our other dear forum member decided to cancel his rather large bid (because how often do we see a Democart 2 - wouldn't you add extra) and - sorry for quoting but I felt the same - "he sounds like the type that will flip and change his mind as soon as someone else speaks up".
So trying to make offers outside of eBay is ok, but when that deal falls in the water it's no longer ok to cancel an auction?
So I would love to have one of these, not for any price though so if we could keep the bidding open in the thread and set an end date I'd be happy to stay on as long as I can. There's apparently already an offer from a third (me and the other forum member included) AA forum member though and perhaps it's not likely anyone will bid more.
I'm not likely to keep this open when A. You start trash talking on my own blog while I never did you any harm. and B. You start off our conversation through email with lies about its real value. and C. For the reason below.
I also wanted to warn any interested buyer that with the dollar signs in front of his this newcomer's eyes thinking this is some multi-$1000 cart that everyone wants he's likely to sell it to anyone anywhere else that pays the most - even if you have agreed on something else.(Yes I'm P.O. I've sold stuff much cheaper than what they could have been sold for many times myself, just deal with it, take a deep breath, move on and check better next time.)
Everybody has dollar signs in front of him whether you want to admit this or not.
I do not however, think this is worth anything near as much, but given my current financial status and situation, every penny is welcome. I do have principles, but there are, as I've discovered with this item and its value, limits to any persons principles.
After doing the research and receiving those offers from members here, I had an amount in my mind. I was going to stick to that or just accept either of the two (decent) offers. As it looks now, it's just going to sit here and opened up as much as I want to open it.
Just for the record, there is no damage to the cart or the inside just from opening it. It doesn't matter to me if it would've been Smurfs 2 for the Master System or this one. Opening it up isn't going to miraculously stop the cart from working.
Either way, I thought we were going to keep it civilized. If you still want it and want to put in a decent offer, you're still welcome to do so.
If the trash talking stops, either here, on my blog or by email, then there are no hard feelings from my side.

Hi everybody,
First of all, I know it's not nice to come to a forum as a newbie and start selling stuff, but in this case that was my only option.
This is the only forum I found that gave me some info on it and where I found people who are interested in this item. I will probably stick around here if there are some nice topics on the Master System to be found

I'm looking, as the title states, to sell or trade my Democart 2 for the Fairchild Video Entertainment System (Channel F).
In the bottom of this post, I added some detailed pictures of the item.
I've been told that there are now only three copies known worldwide and this is one of them. It is cart only and in good condition. The bottom label is pealing off a bit, but that can be fixed easily (I won't bother, just to keep it in the condition it is in now).
If there are any further questions, please let me know and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
Cash is priority, but if you have some nice Master System games or hardware for trade, that could also be interesting.
For shipping: I live in Belgium and of course worldwide shipping (ensured and tracked) is not a problem. Paying with PayPal is recommended and I'll take the fees.
For Master System games I do not own yet, please have a look here: Wanted Master System Games.. They should be in mint, complete condition.
Without further ado:

High resolution pictures can be provided tonight.
(PS. If I have broken any forum rules, please let me know!)
Regards,
PJ

The Pixel Nation is formed...

Anyone here knows what happened to Pixel Nation? I had paid for a preorder in the beginning of last year and after receiving no updates, I found out today that their website is gone and their email doesn't exist anymore.
I received almost instant replies from Keith (Lorfarius here) during the summer of 2012 when I asked for updates, but now they've disappeared from the face of the planet...
Any help or other duped people here?
