NO thank you, iTunes, I most certainly do not want to BUY the (questionable, I know) movie Battleship for $19.99, but I wouldn't mind RENTING it. Too bad that's not an option!
I have two issues with digital copies of movies. The first is lower quality, compared to BD, which is highly noticeable on a high-end display. The second is DRM. If I could purchase a digital copy with the same quality of BD and DRM free, I'd move all my movie purchases to digital only.
Agreed on both counts--I'd much rather have a BD copy of a movie, and some of the DRM is ridiculous. And as I mentioned above, I feel prices of digital movies versus physical media (which often have additional features) are way out of line.
WOW! Just Wow! $19.99 for a digital copy? That's obscene! So let me get this straight, they want to put nothing in your hands, completely control what devices you can watch it on, and charge the same as a DVD or BD? Sheesh!
