DASM link broken in 2600 programming page...
Albert replied to Gradualore's topic in Site and Forum Feedback
I've fixed the link, thanks for pointing out the problem. ..Al -
The USPS updated their servers yesterday and introduced a revised API for postage calculation. The vendor for the shopping cart software I'm using has not yet updated their software, so postage calculation is completely broken. Very professional. I had to take the store down until this is fixed. ..Al

Clear your browser cache and that will fix the problem. ..Al

I'm not sure what you're referring to, this sounds like an issue with your computer as opposed to a problem with the forum. ..Al

Help with seller SpaceDice2010/retrogamingdepot
Albert replied to megasdkirby's topic in Auction Central
I have shipped packages to Puerto Rico several times and have never had a problem. ..Al -
What happens when you try to login? You're the only person to report problems trying to login, so it's not a widespread issue. Can you provide more information so we can try to track down the issue? It would help to know what web browser and operating system you're using, and to describe exactly what's happening when you're attempting to login. Thanks, ..Al

New Pinballz Arcade in Austin - Looking for Full-Time Staff
Albert replied to Albert's topic in Arcade and Pinball
I need to spend some time taking some nice pictures. We are only running on quarters at the moment, but we should have tokens within the next few weeks. Our coin mechs operate with both tokens and quarters. I'll post pictures of the tokens as soon as they arrive. ..Al -

The Xybots in the arcade is mine, along with several other vids (such as Tempest, Major Havoc, and Black Widow). The Black Hole we just got in the arcade a week ago, and we have to fix one problem with it before it's ready for play (a bad coil, hopefully we can replace it tomorrow morning). Looking forward to playing it myself. ..Al -

Albert replied to Albert's topic in Arcade and Pinball
Not yet, but that would be interesting. RIght now we have our work cut out for us in getting all the games up and running, as well as getting other aspects of the business going (such as memberships, the party rooms, Mikki's Cafe, and more). I do agree that having classic consoles and games available to try and for sale would be fun. ..Al -

I know there are some AtariAge users here in Austin, and perhaps some of you are fans of pinball and arcade games as well.. Pinballz Arcade - Game Test Day We're looking for about 25 people this Saturday, November 13th, to help us with game testing. We're especially interested in individuals who love pinball and arcade games and have experience playing them. Fill out the form on the above link and if selected, you'll get to spend three hours at the arcade playing a variety of games, for free! We have over 80 pinball machines on the floor at this time, and nearly all of them should be operating on Saturday. Also plenty of video arcade machines, driving games, redemption games, and more.. ..Al

I just cleaned this thread up--Cyrano, if you don't have something positive to contribute to a thread, stay the hell out of it. ..Al

I just cleaned this thread up a bit, please refrain from personal attacks. If you can't get your point across without resorting to name calling, then move on to another thread or don't post at all. If you're getting your panties in a bunch arguing over the release year of an Atari 2600 game, you need to get away from the computer and go outside for some fresh air. Having said that, just because a website lists a release date for an Atari 2600 game, that doesn't make it gospel. If a majority of such sites list a year of 1982 versus 1983, that doesn't mean the majority is right. That often just means that the other sites are copying information from each other. Given the evidence presented here so far, it seems logical to conclude that Ms. Pac-Man was released in early 1983. ..Al

I saw this in person a few years ago and took a bunch of pictures: I believe I have several hundred pictures from The Computer History Museum, I should get them posted up. ..Al
