I saw this game mentioned on another site recently and spent a little time reading about it. Seems like a giant time sink. ..Al

New Version A/V Composite Mod for ColecoVision
Albert replied to Yurkie's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
I sent two systems to Yurkie for modification about a month before CGE. He performed the modifications quickly and I had the systems back in less than two weeks, including shipping both ways. The modified systems work great and the output is light years ahead of what you typically get when using a stock ColecoVision system with RF output. The supplied A/V cables work well and the small connector on the ColecoVision is unobtrusive. I also sent four ColecoVision controllers, which Yurkie refurbished and modified with a joystick ball. Much better than the stubby, stock joystick, which has always been a bane for me when playing ColecoVision games. I even sent along another system, a previously modified (not by him) A/V ColecoVision that was having video issues, and Yurkie fixed that as well. I used two of these systems at CGE, where they were running constantly during the show. No problems at all and they worked flawlessly the entire time! I highly recommend Yurkie if you're looking to enhance your ColecoVision enjoyment. ..Al -
Here are some blog entries on Invision's site that describe some of the Facebook-related changes: http://community.invisionpower.com/blog/1174/entry-4162-ipboard-310-dev-update-sharing-links/ http://community.invisionpower.com/blog/1174/entry-4176-ipboard-310-dev-update-improved-facebook-integration/ http://community.invisionpower.com/blog/1174/entry-4845-ipboard-310-dev-update-facebook-api-updates/ We are running IP.Board 3.0.x, 3.1.2 is what I will be updating to. ..Al

I am going to be upgrading the forum in the next week, and the Facebook Connect features have been completely revamped. I imagine this issue will go away once I've done that. Not really worth my time to try and track down this issue now when it's very likely been fixed. ..Al

System Shock and System Shock 2 are two of my all time favorite games. I need to play these again, it's been some time. Bioshock was the spiritual successor to System Shock, created by many of the same team members. ..Al

Great review Cafeman! ..Al

I would appreciate it if those who have no plans on attending the event and have nothing positive to contribute to this thread would refrain from posting in it. If you have a beef with The_Laird, it would be best to take it up with him personally rather than airing all this drama out in the open. Thank you, ..Al

There are times when this would not be inaccurate. ..Al

OK to post items other than electronics/video games?
Albert replied to nightglider1's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Feel free to post non video game-related items here, no problem at all. ..Al -
If you see such updates please let me know. You can report a member on their profile page. I cannot monitor them 24/7. ..Al

Hmmm, I don't remember that feature, it must have been a third-party mod. I'm less keen on adding many of those since they are not always compatible with newer versions of the software. That's part of the pain in upgrading--I have to painstakingly go through all of the source code (many hundreds of files) and carefully merge anything that's not "stock". Having said that, Invision has made it easier to write modifications for the software that don't require code changes. As more authors take advantage of these this capability, it does get easier to upgrade the forum even with lots of custom mods. ..Al

Yes, that probably should have been done back in 2007 when he first started posting his for sale threads here. Posting this thread on NintendoAge is probably not going to help you, secretdefender. ..Al

Mobile Skin doesn't work anymore?
Albert replied to Marc Oberhäuser's topic in Site and Forum Feedback
No, there is no legend. I'd have to play around to see what the colors mean. Could be one of several things: - New posts - New posts in a topic you have posted in - New votes in a topic with a poll - New posts in a topic you are subscribed to ..Al -
The whole point in a hidden forum is that it's hidden. Talking about it in a public forum makes it not so much a secret any more. It had nothing to do with that. ..Al

I think that's been broken for a while, it's not a browser issue. I will be upgrading the forum software in the next two weeks and the underlying search system has been completely overhauled from scratch. Issues like this should be gone once the transition has been made. I'm now accepting donations of beer to help get me through the upgrade, as it's going to be a ton of work and not something I'm overly looking forward to. And I don't even really drink beer! ..Al

I don't have an ETA for Tempest at this time. It is not imminent, I can say that much. ..Al

For those who are interested, I have added the following items to the AtariAge Store: - Turbo (2600) - Duck Attack (2600) - K.O. Cruiser (2600) - Chunkout (2600) - Worm! (7800) - Squares! (ColecoVision!) - AtariAge Shirts (S, M, L, XL) If you want a shirt, I suggest you grab one fast. I doubt they'll last too long now that they are in the store. I counted 44 shirts this morning, and only a handful of Small and Mediums among them. Here's a link to a page that shows the latest products added to the store (I haven't updated the store front page yet): http://atariage.com/store/index.php?l=product_list&c=new ..Al

Not yet, but I hope to have a PAL60 version available at some point. ..Al

Unfortunately, this will not happen until all the boxed copies have been sold. Right now I'm well in the red as far as Turbo goes. ..Al
