  1. I was driving north on I-35 after dropping off some Commodore 1702 monitors at the ATX Hackers space for the Fest 99/4ATX taking place this weekend. As I'm taking my exit and going down the off ramp, some asshole in a black Corolla decides he wants to go around a slow truck in the right lane. So he pulls out right in front of me, going across the white line, nearly hitting me. I had to slam on my brakes hard and swerve to the left (as much as I could, as there was guardrail there) to avoid hitting him. Had I not slammed on my brakes (as hard as I could) and swerved he definitely would have hit me. Or had I been going just a bit faster, he would have slammed right into my side... I was on the horn as soon as I saw what he was doing, but undeterred this idiot fully moved into my lane and kept going. It's too bad there's no audio as you can't hear me swearing like a sailor at this asshole. ..Al
  2. Nobody here, so I left the monitors and took off. Will be back early tomorrow. I left some AA stickers for anyone who wants one or a few.
  3. I'm here at ATX Hackerspace to drop off some Commodore 1702 monitors. When you turn into the business park complex, you'll want to keep heading towards the back and the Hackerspace is building 3 which will be on the right. Drive past the building, turn right, and park over by where the bus is. The suite is 304. There's a room on the left after you come in through the visitor entrance.
  4. I'll make sure you have a badge waiting for you! Look forward to seeing On Duty as well! ..Al
  5. That is a convenient location! Awesome that you're coming all the way from Finland! I believe we should have most everything setup on Thursday, at least, that's the plan. But plans don't always go as one expects. I'll send you a PM with my number so you can contact me Friday morning to see where things stand. Thank you! ..Al
  6. This could be fantastic! Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help. I need to watch the new season.. ..Al
  7. Amoeba Jump Atari 2600 by Dion Olsthoorn Amoeba Jump is a vertical jumping game where your objective is to guide the amoeba up a never-ending series of platforms without falling. The higher you get, the higher your score will be. Jumping on red or green mushroom push-buttons will give you a short boost and some bonus points, but best of all: it makes the little amoeba rejoice! When your score gets beyond 1,000 points, little white oval-shaped bacteria start appearing on the platforms, which can be eaten by the amoeba. Each bacteria holds one of the six letters of the word A-M-O-E-B-A. Collect all six and the single next time you jump on a spring, you will get a super boost. When you reach a certain score, you will enter screens of ‘all white’ or ‘all blue’ platforms. If you first collect all letters from the bacteria and then time your ‘super boost’ jump wisely, you can just fly past these screens without difficulty 🙂 Amoeba Jump Development Thread
  8. Thanks, this is happening because the images are linked directly from the Gallery. I have an open ticket with Invision to try and solve this issue, which I'm confident they will be able to do. ..Al
  9. Can you please tell me where you are seeing this? Thank you, ..Al
  10. Unfortunately, it's taking a bit longer than anticipated to get the printed materials together. There's been some back and forth with the printer regarding the boxes. The printing itself looks fantastic--the photos I posted earlier in this thread are from the last round of physical proofs. However, there are some minor alignment issues that we're hashing out with the printer. Once we get these squared away, we hopefully will not have to go through this again with future Jaguar boxes! The labels have been sent to the printer, and I should have those soon. The Fantasy World Dizzy manual is finished, and we're working on the Speedball 2 manual (which is longer and more complex than the Fantasy World manual!) Once the Speedball 2 manual is finished, that will go to the printer and I'll have them in relatively short order. I will continue to post updates in this thread. I'm eager to get these shipped out! I plan on having copies available at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo in October, as well as the rest of the Jaguar games we have in the store (including titles from Songbird). ..Al
  11. You mean this site? http://denial.shamani.dk/bb/ It was redirected to this automatically for me when I tried to visit the original URL, and it's the third result in Google when I search for "denial forum". ..Al
  12. That forum only has 78,000 posts and looks somewhat dead in terms of activity. ..Al
  13. I'm getting really tired of seeing you put this forum down. This is one of the largest classic gaming forums on the net, and it has a large number of active and enthusiastic ColecoVision owners. People are going to be critical of issues such as what has been described in this thread, especially when the developers are being dodgy with their answers. To say nothing of trying to squelch discussion of what you claim is not DRM/copy protection, although the code doesn't seem to serve any other useful purpose. Please accept that people have not been happy with your handling of this situation, and stop trying to paint AtariAge in a negative light. ..Al
  14. Oh, you mean no fingerprints! When you said "digital prints", I was thinking you meant printing. ..Al
  15. Very nice 1200XL! What does the "digital prints only" mean? ..Al
  16. Can you show me an example of this happening? With one or more screenshots? ..Al
  17. Here's the email we received from Ritchy, stating that this post contained a "way to do illegal copy of Risky Rick" and for us to censor the forum. I know this report (sent by a "Guest") is from Ritchy as the IP address matches the one he used to register his account. By the time I saw this, the links to Kevin's blog were removed, but I restored them when I saw that no actual ROMs were posted, and that Kevin's blog was simply exploring the apparent copy protection built into the game. Obviously providing a link to an external blog exploring the technical nature of the game seems reasonable to me. The request to close the topic was ignored, and asking that no other topics on this subject be created is also unreasonable. Since then, Ritchy has reported two additional posts.. And this one: Just wanted to let you guys know that "Ritchy" is trying to suppress the conversation here. ..Al
  18. So, $100 for a poor reproduction that's worth at best $20? Plus shipping? ..Al
