It is pretty ridiculous and overbearing.

Thank you for writing all this up, as well as your followup post today. I appreciate it, and it gives me a sense of what I'm in for once I start going down this road soon. As soon as I get caught up shipping pre-order games in the store, I will devote time to this as I'd really like to be able to start shipping directly to the UK again.
I do have a question -- what are the requirements when someone purchases something from you in terms of what you need to display either after the purchase is complete and/or on a receipt/packing list in terms of VAT?
Thanks again,

Oh, I know that. It starts right at the top, and beyond that I don't want to get into politics here on AtariAge.

I'm not going to argue with that, I'm not a big fan of Facebook myself and primarily use it for AtariAge-related tasks.

It is not a scam because you are apparently unaware there have been shipping delays for nearly the entirety of 2020 due to COVID-19, continuing thus far into 2021. Also, Fred Quimby has been building and selling these Harmony Carts for YEARS without issue and has tons of happy customers. It is not his fault that shipping (especially to international destinations) is taking so long, and I'm somewhat astounded that you've come here immediately stating this is a SCAM and are seemingly ignorant of shipping delays that have been well-publicized for quite some time now.
Again, please be patient. It's the last time I'm going to say this.

LOL that is one bizarre looking vehicle. Unfortunately the problem with USPS is management.

I shipped a package to Canada last month. It made it to Dallas, then went BACK to Austin, then got stuck in a loop between my town (bordering Austin) and Austin, going back and fourth EIGHT TIMES over the course of two weeks. After multiple visits to the post office, they were finally able to intercept the package. However, now they cannot find it, even though it's supposedly at my local post office. I had to send the customer another package. And I had another international package start to do the same thing while this other package was stuck in this seemingly infinite loop. Fortunately that one managed to unstick itself.
I'm thoroughly unimpressed with the USPS right now.

Here's the tracking for your package:
The last scan was February 3rd from Buenos Aires. It's quite possible the package actually isn't yet in Argentina due to the USPS' use of "predictive scans", where they add tracking information based on where they believe a package would arrive and depart under normal conditions. The problem with international packages is there are far fewer commercial flights to and from pretty much everywhere, and those planes are normally used to transport international packages. As a result, packages will sit at airports for a long time before finally being loaded onto one of the few planes still flying. Please be patient.

This is not a scam, Fred Quimby (who invented, builds and sells the Harmony Cartridge) sells a ton of these, to customers inside and outside the United States. The problem, as Ground Trooper mentioned above, is international shipping is a mess right now. Packages are taking a long time to exit the United States, and in many cases when they reach the destination country they encounter original delays. I've had packages I've sent take MONTHS to arrive, and likewise, I've had packages from overseas take just as long. I recently had two large packages from Poland that literally took FOUR MONTHS to arrive. And similarly with eight small packages from Germany -- I'm actually still waiting on one of those!
So don't fret, the package is still in motion and is slowly making its way to you in Argentina.

You're probably right given the group name is the same as the title of this thread. I'm in that group although I've only rarely posted in it, just don't have that much time to be active on Facebook (or Discord).

I removed the thread as such a discussion would quickly become heated in nature due to its unfortunate political nature here in the US. The first two two responses to your thread clearly showed that people don't want that here.

I don't really consider Discord a serious alternative to forums like this. Discord is much nicer than IRC, and more organized in that you can split a server up into multiple channels, but conversations are short-lived as they scroll off into the temporal distance. And searching through Discord channels is tedious. It can be handy if you need an answer Right Now, but for prolonged discussions on particular topics that you might want to reference at a future date, to say nothing of managing files, it's just not very good, in my opinion. Facebook is only marginally better on that front.
So, you basically started this conversation to try and get people to talk about Vectrex on Discord and abandon AtariAge?

Wasn't exactly sure where to put this, but as it seems to be targeted at retro computer users, this seems a good spot..
We see many projects come across Kickstarter, and every now and then we find one that we feel would be interesting to AtariAge visitors, and in this case, those that tinkered with early home computers back in the 70s and 80s. The READY! 100 is a portable solder-free DIY computer kit that features an extruded aluminum shell that accommodates any single board computer like a raspberry pi, 4x4 x86. pico-itx or something more exotic like an FPGA board and other external devices like dongles or batteries which can now become internal!
It is a platform that brings a beautiful ultra-wide 1920x480 touch screen, 12 customizable industry standard input-outputs ports and 4 antenna ports with a full RGB backlit mechanical keyboard and a 5+5w stereo speaker system. You can use it to create a desktop enhancer, a portable laptop, a ham radio transceiver, a powerful router, a video game rig, audio/video recorder, or maybe something fun like a modernized Atari ST using something like a MiSTer FPGA! It's all up to your imagination.
An open source version of the design has been created for anyone who wants to do it at home with the appropriate 3D Printer and CNC machine. There is ample room inside the case to fit any gadgets you'd like to integrate into a single device. You can even carry it around with you via a guitar strap with the compatible side strap locks. It is designed to be easily upgradable, easily repairable, fully modular, and a little flashy. The design was inspired by the angles and bevels found in early Atari 800 systems along with other companies like the TRS-80 Model 100, and the Apple II or Commodore 64. This is a premium built enclosure designed to last for many years. The READY!OS is a free open source Linux distribution that supports the unique feature set of the READY! 100.
Please visit the Kickstarter campaign to learn more about the READY! 100 and make a pledge to support this project. You can also learn more by visiting the READY! 100 website directly.-

Does that mean we should expect more stock coming to AtariAge in the near future as well?
Yes. I won't start taking pre-orders for the next batch until they have been shipped and I know how many I'll be receiving.

Yeah, I was expecting photos of more games piled up somewhere else, but looks like it was just that one closet. Seller states there are about 125 games, so that averages $80 per game, I'm sure some of those are certainly worth more than that, while others are worth less. Not a board game collector myself, but I'm sure there are many collectors out there.
