I decided to hook up my modded 7800 to my projector just to see how the projector does with S-Video. Voila! Looks fantastic at 100"! Rikki & Vikki is the first S-Video input this projector has ever received.

I really like the way this print turned out. Even at only 10% infill, it feels really sturdy -- it's about 4.5 oz. I wanted to experiment with 10% infill (and I needed it to finish printing before I went to bed), but I wouldn't recommend it, especially with a translucent filament. Smaller triangles would look nicer. Plus, my printer was pretty messy printing 10%; with 20%, the triangles are very neat and clean. Not sure why that happens. By the way, this model helped me to get my print bed level today. The first few layers are perfect for testing! The glow in the dark luminesces quite dramatically for the first ten minutes or so, especially if it was under a light before the lights go out. Then it slowly gets dimmer.

OK, firing it up with glow in the dark filament. Cura says my Creality CR-10S will take 11 hours to print with only 10% infill. Uses 137g of filament. Will post with results tomorrow, lol.

$15 is a good deal. Filament will be about $5, plus the time it takes to print. Glow in the dark filament would be cool too!

I would pay $100 for a Questar II, lol.

If you keep regular tabs on eBay or other sites like it, and if you are good about selling items yourself (know how much stuff costs to ship, how to pack, etc.), you can get all the 2600s, PlayStations, PS2s, Xboxs, and Wiis you want for free by selling off the games and controllers that come in the lot. Thing is, you have to decide whether it's worth the effort. Unless there's some rare in the lot that I need, I usually pass on lots like these, even if you could make $10-$20 on the deal. So it's almost like "What consoles wouldn't you take for $20 if you had to spend time cleaning and listing it?"

I forget which edition of Upgrading and Repairing PCs I have, but it came with fun DVD of the author walking you through some basic PC repair. Book and DVD are great resources.

I admit that I don't know much about the GC, but I don't understand why a Wii with component cables isn't the most popular method of playing GC games. I get it that you can't use the GB Player, but is that it?

I just got my first GC too. I still use the Wii to play GC games bc of the component out. If you like Star Wars, get Rogue Leader II. It doesn't emulate well on Dolphin, so original hardware is the best way to play it. I love playing it with a projector on a 120" screen. Makes the Death Star battle really fun!

Mine arrived today. Looks great on a Sony PVM via S-Video, and plays great with a modded NES controller!
