  1. Ebay is a WAY last resort for me. Got screwed on my very first transaction with them, and twice more since them. Of course, they did nothing about it.

Though I did get a Jag from a guy off of there for a DAMN sweet price, and he even threw in a free game. That was cool!

  2. I'm not one to collect rares, but if I come across something for a great price, I'll pick it up.

The two rarest I have are Harbor Escape and London Blitz. Nothing too spectacular. I also have a repro cartridge of Yar's Return, and you don't see very many of those.

  3. Dr. Ashens, renowned tat reviewer, has joined forces with...

THAT GUY WITH THE GLASSES! WOOOOOT!

Holy craploa, this is the coolest thing ever! Now if only the Nerd would flip the finger to GameTrailers and get on board with Doug and the gang, ALL of my favorite internet personalities will be on the same site. Man, this is so cool.

  4. Interviews for game companies should go like this.

Interviewer: So, what makes you think you can work for Atari?

Business Suit Douche: Well, I've got an MBA, where I went to college paid for by my rich daddy of course! I'm super smart, have a sweet-ass car, and my hair is so unbelievably awesome it hurts to think about it.

Interviewer: I see. Do you actually play video games?

    BSD: Ummm...what's a video game?

Interviewer: Right. You'll be fucking off now. Next!

  5. Bunches.

Alone In The Dark - The New Nightmare

    Illbleed

Marvel Vs. Capcom 1 and 2

    Resident Evil Code Veronica

    Carrier

    Dead Or Alive 2

    Omikron - The Nomad Soul

Phantasy Star Online 1 and 2 (even though you can't get online anymore, it's an excellent one player adventure!)

    Quake 3 Arena

    Unreal Tournament

    Record of Lodoss War

Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 (the last of the great Sonic games)

    Street Fighter 3 Third Strike

    Street Fighter Alpha 3

    Soul Calibur

TONS more, too. Love the DC.

  6. Generally, I don't really give a crap about achievements. If they don't actually give you something in game (like Mass Effect...now THERE were some achievements worth getting), then I don't try for them.

But, I guess the ones that I'm most proud of are SF4. Play 500 Live battles, and win 100 Live battles. In Player mode, I won 28 matches in a row, but you only get the achievement for beating a certain number of opponents in a row on Ranked. At last check, I was up to like 880 online battles, and had about a 75% win ratio, but I've given up SF4 for a bit, as it was getting REALLY boring fighting nothing but Sagat/Ryu/Ken/Bison all the damn time, and I was just getting tired of the game in general. They need to release some downloadable characters or something.

  7. The Saturn is freakin' AWESOME man, get one without delay. The SCD can be fun, but only with certain games, like Sonic and Snatcher.

BUT...the SCD has no copy protection, so it's straight burn and play most of the time...your choice.

  8. Sega has just pissed off it's fan base too much and for too long to ever even have a chance of competing in today's console market. If they did release it, it would have a million different sports games, some generic, buggy crap, and absolutely NO good RPGs, then they'd drop support after a year and focus on some new system they've come up with. Look at how Sega handled both the Saturn and DC. Sports, sports, sports, a couple of good games, NO RPGs! Well, the Saturn had a couple, but nothing really memorable (in the US anyway), and the DC had like, what, two? That's totally unforgivable. I love my Dreamcast to death, but damn, Sega really didn't know what they were doing. They should have followed the strategies set forth with the Genesis. Now THAT was a fucking awesome game system right there.

  9. I know who Flatt and Scruggs are. Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs. They did the original Beverly Hillbillies theme song, and in recent years, Earl has gained some late career success doing his rendition of Foggy Mountain Breakdown. Earl is ungodly skilled, almost perfect in his playing (probably only Roy Clark could claim to be his equal).

I love banjo, and DAMN is it a hard instrument to learn. I mean, wow. Seeing a skilled banjo player like Roy Clark or Steve Martin (yes, the actor), is a thing of pure beauty.

  10. Dude, I think you're missing the point. Homer is a long time, valued member of the forum. You, on the other hand, are not, and your bullshit replies and attitude aren't welcome here. GO AWAY and find another forum to troll on. You're on an Atari forum...saying "Like Atari knowledge is vital". Ummmm...might wanna re-think some things here, pal. You obviously don't know much about Atari, or it's long time fans. Atari nuts discuss the craziest things. I've had my differences with Homer in the past, but he knows quite a bit about the older Atari systems and games.

Find a Pokemon forum where you'll feel more at home, please.

  11. Ok, we're getting talked down to by a guy who's been here for just a few months, has a whopping 65 posts, AND has fucking Team Rocket as his avatar? Losers? Damn, dude. You wanna be the pot or the kettle? Tell you what, since you're such a huge contributor of wonderful, informative items to this forum, it would be such a shame to have to tell you to fuck off and leave AA to us losers. But, I will anyway.
