Yeah, I read over at DP that you're trying to get things together for a 2009 OVGE, Crossbow. Make sure to give me enough advance warning if things get going, so I can get the money together to try and get an exhibitor table again. This time I'll have to put gigantic neon signs everywhere on my table that says NOTHING IS FOR SALE. Lol.

It's my exclusive stick for systems that utilize that particular type of joystick. I use it for the 2600, C-64, Atari 8-bit computers, etc. LOVE it. Everybody always gushes about the Wicos, but I say bollocks, the TAC beats it hands down.

There was only one game on the 2600 that supported 2 buttons, and that was Omega Race, and it came with an extra doohickey that added a button to the joystick. This is, of course, not counting games that utilized both controllers or the special controllers. I've always felt that the real charm of the 2600 was the single button stick, as it made the games so much simpler, and challenged the programmers.

Oh, I love the song, and Slayer, but it's that super fast part near the beginning right after the gallop that gets me every single time. Once I pass that, the rest of the song is cake. The song I hate with a passion though, is that stupid Dragonforce song. I have no idea how those guys got any sort of fanbase. Seriously. Herman Li needs to realize that fast doesn't equal GOOD. You want fast and good? Jerry Reed baby.

Campaigning never really worked very well with T&T in my experience, so it was usually just one-shots. You tried DOSBox for that T&T game? It'll usually run just about anything that's DOS based.

I have the original T&T books as well (and several of the Grimtooth's Traps supplements). Great stuff. Too bad the game was never completed, though I do believe a computer game did come out, right?

GH3 is unmercifully hard. The ONLY GH game where I've ever failed my first try at a song on Hard (Raining Blood). The setlist is also fairly weak compared to the other games. The worst game in the entire series. World Tour is MUCH better overall. I use my Rock Band gear for GH World Tour, personally. A. I can't play a real guitar. Ever. Why? My hands. I've broken ever single finger on each hand, some several times (my pinky on my left hand has has the honor of being broken in three different places at three seperate times). This seriously impedes my dexterity and makes it so I can't stretch my fingers far enough to play a real guitar. I can play GH no problem, though. Fighting off frequent bouts of carpal tunnel in my wrists also doesn't help much. B. I have zero musical ability. I can't read music, and have no ability to actually make music on my own. If I paid money for a real guitar, that would be like buying a really expensive item that I eventually used to prop up a table leg. Not everyone can just "learn" to play an instrument, you have to some musical talent to begin with, and I was not given that. This goes the same for drums, as my hands and feet don't seem to want to perform rhythm tasks seperately. My physical skills were geared towards my pro wrestling and boxing, anyway, not playing instruments. C. I enjoy all the GH/Rock Band style games, so I'm gonna continue to buy and play them, thanks. Activision may have grown very, VERY big, but us old-timers remember when they were putting out stuff like Kaboom! and River Raid, so even if they're a big evil corporation, I still like seeing the old logo on stuff.

Undying was hella cool. I loved that game with a passion. The Lovecraft game on the XBox was...odd. It was cool, no doubt, but your character would randomly lose his mind, and do stuff such as not shoot his gun, or just stand there in horror. Ugh! Made it very difficult in spots. Still, very fun, VERY gory game.

When I die, all my stuff is already willed to someone, and I know it'll be loved and cared for, just like it was when I owned it. No garbage dumps for my stuff. I'm more of a player than a collector, BUT, I own the games so I can play them. If at some point, I get this odd itch to play, let's say, Fast Food on the 2600, then I want to be able to go over and pull the cart down and PLAY it, dammit! I do find collecting fun, though. Just this week I found a copy of Harbor Escape in good condition for 2 bucks. That was cool, and it's that kind of score that drives the collector in me. I love walking into Best Buy and seeing that they are having a surprise sale and I can pick up some great games for like 5 bucks each. That's kick-ass if you ask me.

Yeah, was a Tulsa store. Funny thing, they had tons of Pitfalls in the case for 8 bucks each and a Pengo for 20! Lol.

I've successfully made the cord. Easy as pie. Just go to a used game store and see if they'll sell/give you a broken XBox controller, then go to a nearby Dollar Tree and get a USB extension cable. You'l have what you need.

Browsing at a local Vintage Stock netted me 4 games for 2 bones each. 3 were nothing special, just ones I didn't have and needed. Fishing Derby, Blue Print, and Solar Fox...but there next to them all... A Harbor Escape in very good condition! Sweet, my first Panda cartridge! No box or instructions or anything (natch), but still, for 2 bucks AND in the wild? That's awesome!

Other than the Gamecube Gameboy Player, I know of no adaptors for playing Gameboy Advance games on the SNES. The SNES was considered completely dead by the time the GBA was released, so it would have been a dead market for Nintendo.

Actually, my inner strength comes from the fact that I've overcome obstacles most couldn't imagine. I broke my neck some years back, and was paralyzed for over a year. Spent that time in a wheelchair, and another year doing rehab to try and walk again. My body is also broken as hell, and I'm in non-stop 24/7 pain. Yeah, I guess I'm a little bitter, but when I see some rich little fucker in a nice car and frosted hair getting pissy about a dollar transaction, I get MAD. That little asshole has NEVER had to wonder where his next meal is coming from, or struggle to make ends meet, or had a physical disability to overcome. I hate those that are privileged, plain and simple, and most customers think they're privileged because they have money in their pockets. Of course, throughout history, wealth means privilege and status, so... I live in Oklahoma, or as I call it, the asshole of the world. I hate it here, but my mom lives close, so I can't leave. Shadow knows what I'm talking about.

I had a kid at OVGE last year say to me at my table "Why do they call it the TurboGrafx when the graphics suck?" Of course, he was probably 10 years old. Same convention. Had my Apple IIe running a conversion of Ms. Pac-Man on a monochrome green screen. A kid, probably 15, comes up. "Hey, your monitor's busted! It's only showing green!". Yikes. Of course, every 10 seconds or so I had someone wondering just what the hell my accoustic modem was...

I'm almost positive that Gens does both simultaneously.
