Fallout is one of my all time favorite games. The 50's kitch feel to everything is just too cool. The strange and totally bizarre things that you can do in the game is pretty innovative, too. In Fallout 2, you can get married...OR you can get married to a person of the same sex! I did that once just to watch the father perform the wedding, and lemme tell you, it's a HOOT. I also loved the fact that you could be completely good, or completely evil in it (it's obvious that Fable took a LOT of cues from this series). Ron Perlman doing narration, and Jim Cummings and Richard Dean Anderson doing in-game voices just makes everything all the sweeter. Here's hoping that the long rumored Fallout Online MMORPG becomes a reality!

Well, the Grapple Guardian totally CREAMED me. I know what to do, and how to do it, but he does NOT stay stunned long enough for me to get behind him and hit him with ANYTHING, let alone a Super Missile. I'm gonna try and alter my tactics tonight, but wow, this guy is eating my lunch right now, and it only took me 2 tries on the Boost Guardian!

I too just restored power to the Wastes, and am now currently doing some backtracking to pick up some items in the earlier sectors now that I have the light and dark beams. The Bog is up next, I suppose. Can't wait to finish this one, as the first MP is my all time fave game.

Doubtful that they'll re-issue any of the games, but I've collected them all at very reasonable prices. Look at used game stores, that's where I got all of 'em. Res 0 - 12.99 at Blockbuster Res Remake - 14.99 at a used game store Res 2 - 19.99 at a used game store (this one is quite hard to find, though) Res 3 - 14.99 at a used game store Res CV - 15.99 at Blockbuster Not bad at all I think.

Christmas for me on this one, but, I've got Wizardry 8 to finish before anything else, so it's all good. This game will be THE killer app on the GCN, period. Always and forever, I am a Metroid fanboy.

Yeah, like last night, I was rummaging through a drawer and came across a copy of Wizardry 8 that I never installed or played. I looked it over, and said "What the hell?" After installing it, holy Magilla Gorilla, am I ever HOOKED on it! And I'm not even 3 hours into the game yet, either! It's cool to find something you've either not played in your collection, or find a game you haven't played in so long that you've forgotten most of it.

I got WAAAAY into it back in the day, but don't remember exactly how far I got. It gets insanely difficult later on, and you're literally bouncing off the tops of poles to keep from falling in those massively expansive pits for the ENTIRE level. I'd like to have finished it, but, at least the theme song will forever be stuck in my head.

Normally, no, I don't do this, BUT...I did want to collect all the Resident Evil games that had come out for the Gamecube. It's REALLY too bad that they didn't release Outbreak for the GC, but anyway, once I have RE:4, I'll have the main games for the GC. Sweet.

Oh, good lord, the first Grandia had some of THE crappiest voice acting imaginable. It literally embarrassed me to listen to it, and thankfully, there was text, so I just turned the volume down when the voices came on. That was an instance they really should have just shut...the...hell...up and not did any voiceovers.

I've used De-Solvit (Goo Gone sucks compared to this stuff) successfully on lots of my discs. Just make sure you have some Formula 409 to clean the stuff off after you get the sticker off, as it's really greasy. Might also help to have a cd cloth to clean the disc afterwards, too, as the stuff has a tendency to flow over the edge of the disc onto the "read" side.

VERY much agreed about XIII, Duchovny's voice was just perfect, as was Adam West. However, sometimes I like a mute hero...other times, I like one who's vocal. A perfect example was the first Metal Gear Solid. David Hayter's sort of gravelly, growling voice was great, and it added a LOT to the game, as did the other excellent voice overs. I don't think that game would have had near the impact if any of the characters in it were mute. But, say like in the Zelda games, or even something like Paper Mario, it works just fine. Samus doesn't talk, and she's one of my all time favorite video game characters (and Metroid is my number one all time favorite game franchise, bar none). I also think that games like Resident Evil worked like they did because of the bad voice acting, not in spite of it. The game was supposed to be like a bad B horror movie, not something with a mega budget. Bad horror movies have bad acting and worse dialogue, so, the game had that too. I for one think it worked just fine. The acting and dialogue did get better as the games went on, though. Look at the RE-make versus the original. Night and day.

NESticles isn't that bad really. I use it for casual play. And yes, FFMQ was a great game, and to this day, has some of THE best cartridge music ever programmed.

You know, I saw the title of this thread, and didn't even have to look at the author to know you were the one who posted it, MMF. Lol! Anyway, I played it a little, and it is truly almost identical to Symphony of the Night for the Playstation, so if you get a strategy guide for that, that should pretty much walk you through it. I also really enjoyed Deep Fear, but then again, I love most all Resident Evil type games. I'm probably the only one on this board who absolutely loved Carrier.

Agreed about Magic of Scheharazade. I LOVED the game back in the day, so much so that I traded my oft-beaten Zelda 2 for it. I had a blast with it, and still fire it up on NESticles every once in a while. And yes, the music was great. I'm glad I'm not the only one who loved this game.

Well, I should be finishing up RE2 for my cube tomorrow, so I'll save REmake for later on and start going back through it. One of the truly scariest games of all time, though I say the original Silent Hill juuuuuust edges it out. Mostly because of demon children attacking me with knives when I'm only armed with a cigarette lighter....

And if I could get online with it, I wouldn't even use the PAR, since back in the day, the GameSharkers totally ruined PSO on the Dreamcast. This is just for offline play only, so I don't have to spend 200 hours getting my character back to a level where he can actually damage the Ultimate monsters (and man, too bad my DC crapped out on me, cause I also had 4 really nice level 200 mags for him.)

Like I said, Codejunkies was a bust. No codes there at all.

I need some Pro Action Replay codes for the Gamecube version of Phantasy Star Online 1&2 (and no, I'm not getting online with it, as I don't have a network adaptor). I'm kinda interested in seeing all the rare weapons, and going through the Ultimate difficulty. (I got my human ranger up to level 155 on the DC legitamately, but DAMN. I could barely touch the Ultimate monsters, even at that level with an awesome rifle!). Codejunkies is a bust, so any help is mucho appreciated! (And I've googled the crap outta this, too. A lot of stuff leads to porn sites. Go fig).

Anybody know if this is coming out for the GC? If so, I'm there in a flash. This would be a perfect 19.95 title to bring out during the holiday season, and OMG does Phantasy Star look absolutely gorgeous. Like a nice 32-bit RPG. I'll get this just for PS. Hell, if they just released an updated PS, with on other games on the disc, I'd bite. Anybody got any info on the remakes of the other PS titles?

If Sega does make another system, I'm in. Even if the DC wasn't supported as well as I would have liked (especially in the RPG department, WHY couldn't we get the Phantasy Star Collection in the states?), it's still one of the best modern systems I've ever played, and since I can get games uber cheap for it, I still buy tons of stuff for my good ol' DC. Sega does make quality systems, they just rely too much on sports games to support those systems. I can pretty much guarantee that Capcom would be on board if Sega were to get back into the console race.

You seen the G4 spot on the GameCube version of MMAC? They talk about the cover art to the original Mega Man, and why it's soooooo horrible. Basically, it was drawn in like 2 hours, and they didn't have time to do anything else.

I only own the Cube right now (hey, money ain't free), but hopefully I'll get a PS2 and a Box before the end of next year. I love my Cube, and I play it regularly. Metroid Prime is one of THE greatest video games ever programmed...EVER. I mainly got the Cube for it's exclusive Resident Evil titles, though (and DAMN Capcom for releasing Outbreak on the PS2!), since I'm a major RE junkie (I'm going back through my newly acquired RE2 as we speak). I have quite a good little collection of games, and love all of 'em (the only stinker I've gotten so far was Darkened Skye, holy GAWD what a crap pile that game was). Definately looking forward to Paper Mario 2, Metroid Prime 2, RE 4, and Starfox 2.

One of the worst purchases I have EVER made was the Sega Smash Pack for the DC. Omg, it was just freakin' unbelievable how bad that was. Nothing like playing Phantasy Star 2 and having the music sound like it had two loops going, and one was 10 seconds behind the other. I was so very mad at this pile of crap that I actually snapped the disc (something I NEVER do, either), chalked the 15 dollar loss up to experience, and went and bought Alone in the Dark:The New Nightmare and had hella fun with that.
