  1. You're going to make me regret selling it! Thanks, Chris!
  2. Classic Rock never made a comeback, since it never left at all.
  3. Six month update! Pictures forthcoming. If you want to inquire about a particular item, I can probably get a picture within a day or two. If you want to make a trade, or take off a large number of lower priced items, I’m far more flexible on prices. I tried to price everything below ebay, but if any prices are way off base (possible!), feel free to let me know, even if you’re not buying. Shipping is from 02141 or 02116. International shipping has gone off the rails, so US is preferred. CIB = Cart, Instructions, Box CIC = CD/card, Instructions, Case Any other extras will be noted. Free with purchase stipulation: minimum purchase is $15 or any 3 items to get a freebie. Starting from August 2022, I'd consider exceptions to that to include any purchases at all or perhaps even just pay shipping. Check my old feedback and new feedback. ************************* **ATARI** ************************* Atari 2600 Pictures for 2600 & 7800 games: https://postimg.cc/gallery/506L48Q I also have some CX40s available for cheap or free with purchase. 4. Was I the only kid who still enjoyed 2D games well into the 32/64 bit era (and beyond)? I mean, the 64 was cool and all, and the video segments of Final Fantasy were amazing, but they never beat out the 16 bit generation for me.
  5. Oddly, I first read that as "GrayStation". Didn't quite understand the point of the knock, but figured he meant it had to do with poor graphics, which he goes on to claim for the PS2. Now that you requoted it, I'm utterly shocked such a slur by normal adults goes around with impunity in 2013.
  6. Wait, so if I buy a WiiWare game, and my Wii goes offline, I can't play it anymore??
  7. I like it when credentialed people are spearheading these types of projects. My only disappointment is that they're often alone in their work, barely touching —if at all—the expertises of others. Jeanette Garcia's expertise in rhetoric is to be sought out, but the lack of proper historians in the mix is a let-down. This isn't Professor Garcia's fault or anything, but rather that the industry is still pretty new and still seen—sadly so—as the domain of children and those adults who never quite grew up. That said, I'm sure this documnentary will be informative and well-worth watching, but my hopes are that one day a proper one, with a board of experts, tackles the industry as a whole and locates it in its proper context.
  8. That excuse died out long ago for me, although now the shoes my wife buys are somewhat pricier, and I can bargain for more games/consoles/add-ons so long as I can find increasingly vanishing room in which to place them...
  9. Wouldn't make any sense for the GBA, but it does for the Game Gear. Have any links for the latter? That's the one I want to consolize.
  10. I am really surprised she had never heard of Sonic.
  11. Resellers are not exempt from this.
  12. There needs to be a website exposing shitty sellers.
  13. Drawer, alphabetical order. Problem solved. Edit: I do have some carts that I acquired from folks who put labels on them. Pretty nifty looking labels, too! I've often thought about doing that to all of them, since they look so nicely made.
  14. The logic is half bits, and half timing. Similar processing power is grouped together, so that you have 16 bit consoles, starting with PC Engine, starting a new era. Likewise, graphically, 7800, NES, and Master System blow out anything that came prior. But, they don't really go with 1986. They go with 1983 when the Famicom was released. 1986 Famicom, 1984 7800, 1986 Master System, and the generation ended in 1987 with the release of the PCE. As far as the ColecoVision goes, when you really think about it, until the PCE was released, all consoles were just slightly better than their predecessors. Generations is a hard thing to tackle. That's when timing plays a part. The CV died just a year after the Famicom released, and wasn't really competing with it, but rather with the 5200 and Intellivision. So people naturally group those three consoles together (and oddly and illogically enough with the 2600, too) and exclude the Famicom, whose lifespan was from 1983-1991 (and even later, if you want to be technical). Also, it didn't really have much competition in America until mid-way through 1989, and then even then the Genesis only gave mild competition through lack of excellent games, at which the NES really succeeded. Not saying it's right or wrong, just giving some common reasons.
  15. To be fair, I know plenty of people who bought 360s and PS3s and did the exact same thing, or bought it for 1 game. I know a guy who only plays MLB, and only bought a PS3 just because the PS2 wasn't getting the games anymore. Some of us are even collectors who buy a console and then let it gather dust for a while, preferring our favorite consoles instead. I think I've fired up the GameCube once or twice in several months. Sadly, the PS2 has also been majorly neglected for 8–32 bit.
  16. While true that it does take time to fully learn the hardware, I don't think Miyamoto was saying that SMW or programmers sucked, but rather that the SNES' full potential hadn't yet been unlocked. The author, not Miyamoto, said that they sucked.
  17. Definitely applies to me. I've never needed the best. Even back in the day, too! I found myself playing my SNES and Genesis (the two consoles I owned at this point, not sure whatever happened to the Atari) tons more than my newly gifted N64. When I finally got a PS1 in 2000, I mostly played Namco compilations, although I didn't shun it in the least. I do admit to playing a lot of PS2 and Xbox, but not as much as Link to the Past or Mario Kart 64, and with those I was more than content to ignore the release of the Wii, PS3, and the 360. I do plan on one day getting the latter two (just last year got the Wii), but there's no point for me in being in the current gen.
  18. Ah, the laughs! Page 1 laughs, even! NeoGeo64, you may want to reread this thread carefully, closely watching for sarcasm and humor.
