Arcade roms?

I have some of the arcade games on the home system, but they aren't the same....

 

I love the arcades.... makes my girlfriend mad.

[Help with identifying game.... from early 90's]

Need help again....

 

I played a puzzle game at the UCLA arcade where pieces dropped from the top and stacked like Tetris.

 

The pieces are three balls in a triangle fromation.

 

When these pieces are dropped the ball on the top would roll down left or right. When 3(or 4) balls are in contact, the balls with disappear, at the same time create a chain reaction.....

 

Any input will be appreciated.

What is the OPTIMAL butoon configuration when making a joystick setup for classical and modern games?

 

I figure a joystick with 6 buttons but not optimal for older games.

 

Suggestions?

Newbie to mame. Where are the roms? Any good place for recommendations?
