  1. According to Reddit user, also, it's working. For me, it's been working all the long, but I have a Dutch address code.
  2. There's an update on the game here. https://orangepixel.net/2023/10/20/new-playable-characters-and-items-in-gauntlet-of-power-demo-0-0-7/
  3. In Savage Halloween, the world is taken over by monsters from the afterlife who were trapped on Earth after a Halloween party. Every year the monsters are invited to the big 24-hour Halloween rave, but this time no one comes home, as an evil vampire used a spell to block the passage back to the afterlife because, according to him, the party cannot stop. Among the guests, James, a farmer who had eternal rest interrupted, took his shotgun and decided to end the riot. Join the resistance and send everyone home. No one can handle so much noise, goo, and werewolf hair on clothes anymore. Characters James: in life, he was a grumpy farmer; in the afterlife, he remains in a bad mood and is now also armed; Lulu: Werewolf who is not sure if he is a man who dreamed he was a dog, or a dog who dreamed he was a man; Dominika: Daughter of the partying Dark Lord, Dominika is a geek from the depths who urgently wants to come home to see her favorite series. Gameplay Shoot through 7 scenarios with varied gameplay and mechanics, from flying on a witch's broom to hitchhiking on a penguin's back. Features 2D platform with classic mechanics; Shoot in 8 directions; Local multiplayer; 3 playable characters with individual characteristics; Epic and varied boss fights; Varied and bizarre shots. Choose your monster and put a bullet in the enemy!
  4. Apparently it's cured again, but Atari really needs to discuss this urgently with the payment provider to avoid any repetition. I bought 3 games today, and I had no problem, but my payment details were already authorised on the VCS for quite a while.
  5. You can plug the old USB stick and the new USB stick in at the same time, and move the games over via the Storage tab, all at once. However, if your Internet connection is fast, and your USB stick is slow, you might even be better off just downloading the software again. The game saves are always on the internal VCS drive, not the extra storage (USB or otherwise) at this time. As to your question already answered about USB stick, yes, an old one is likely USB2, and for storage, definitely get USB3. The fastest additional storage would be a USB 3 connected SSD. The VCS can format/setup any SSD or USB Flash drive for you quickly.
  6. Atari Podcast Episode 15 - Neo Sprint Races to Atari VCS
  7. "Ultra Mission" by Gumbo Machine is also in the store at $2.99. Of course, real Berzerk vibes on this retro-modern game. The developer is here. https://www.gumbo-machine.com/#xl_xr_page_software
  8. The free demo available is for Windows. At the moment, the game is really not optimised, and runs really poorly even on a gaming PC, as well as Atari VCS level system. When the game struggles to get a good FPS on higher-end hardware, it's certainly not ready for release, and definitely not on VCS. After trying the demo, my interest is less. I'd rather see a Lunar Lander: Recharged type game, on the VCS.
  9. As published elsewhere, Wade does another great interview.
  10. This could be an interesting video to watch, with the developer playing directly.
  11. Super Star Shooter 16 is now available in the VCS Store!
  12. This game is due to launch in 2024. Here's a preview of it, as work-in-progress.
  13. You already checked the Bluetooth works on the controllers. That's good. You can also check it on the VCS, by making another Bluetooth item available, and seeing if you can pair that. e.g. Bluetooth speaker, or headphones. (Bluetooth up to 4.0, not >4.0 of course.) The joysticks can only be paired with a single device at once, so if they are paired to a PC in PC-mode, they have to go back into pairing mode to connect to the VCS, and vice versa.
  14. For those of you with Facebook, RetroNinja posted an updated video modern VCS group. @Tony Barnes may post it on YouTube to link here later perhaps. 🙂 https://www.facebook.com/groups/atarivcsfans/permalink/1378763062708009/
  15. Release Trailer for the game, released today. 🙂
  16. I saw that there is an interesting interview here with @BBG Entertainment developer, Stephan. https://www.co-optimus.com/interview/2482/page/1/dynablaster-developer-interview.html Screenshot below, of title area.
  17. I think this answers the background question at least. https://bbg-entertainment.com/bbg-acquires-first-star-software-name-and-full-rights/
  18. I bought additional VCS systems in The Netherlands in 2021, from original backers who had not really even used them. I've not seen another system for sale since then, because I guess now real fans want to hold on to them, and use them. A friend in the USA did send me a joystick from GameStop when they had a promotion, but after shipping and import tax it was nearly 2.5x as expensive as in the shop. We investigated companies who can ship from USA store via a generated USA address, which then forwards to a European address. It would have been cheaper to do that than pay normal delivery. @davpa who provides Atari VCS developer support and handles the Discords explained that European sales are unlikely. It's really frustrating to have seen all these sales and offers in the USA, but never had access to any of those offers either. We can't even get a T-shirt here, even though a Dutch T-shirt manufacturer is one of the big licensors of the Atari brand. 😞
  19. Announced today, for VCS. Tyre Trax and Dare Devil.
  20. Here is the latest episode #12. I don't know what happened with #11... I think they lost count, ha ha.
  21. There is a new Atari podcast (#10) focused on Quantum Recharged, too.
  22. A new episode of the Atari Podcast (#10) and I forgot to post it. Here it is!
