For anyone interested, here's a list of all the games mentioned so far more than 3 times: 14 --- Berzerk 11 --- Adventure 10 --- Space Invaders 9 --- Yars Revenge Missile Command 8 --- Ms Pacman Pitfall 7 --- River Raid Kaboom 6 --- Centipede Enduro 5 --- Dig Dug 4 --- Hero Haunted House Joust Moon Patrol Crystal Castles Solaris Cosmic Ark Phoenix Solar Fox Also, I made a trip to Joe's Video Games in Rock Hill, SC last weekend (see thread under Classic Gaming General) and I'm now shooting little yellow robots like its 1982.....I think there's a reason Berzerk made it to the top of this list. I ended up finding a 7800 (they were all out of 2600s that day) the 6 games on my list, and 7800 Asteroids and Centipede. Thanks again for all the recommendations! I've got a good list of games to keep an eye out for next time too....

I ended up going early afternoon yesterday to check it out. It's not a very big store, but they have it packed full of old arcade machines and console games. I picked up a couple of NES games for $10, a NES w/controllers, rebuilt 72-pin connector, SMB and Duck Hunt for $55 (this is gonna be a gift for somebody), and a 7800 plus eight games. The 7800 with 2 proline controllers was $40 and the games were all $3 each I think. They have a pretty decent selection of games for most systems. 2600 games were all $3 from what I saw, NES games varied. I did see a few stacks of boxed 2600 games in there too. The two guys that were running the place were helpful, and let me try out the 7800 before I bought it on an old wooden floor model TV, which was perfect for an old Atari console. They have most of the other consoles already set up to try on different TVs. In summary, the prices are a little on the high side, but fair considering they let you test everything out in the store and make a decent attempt to clean up the stuff they're selling. The selection is better than average (I found every game I was looking for, although they were out of 2600 consoles that day), although I wouldn't expect them to have all of the rarer games. And if you like the classic arcade games, they have them, plugged in and ready to go. I remember seeing Tron, Gorf, Galaga, Centipede, Duck Hunt, Mario Bros., Space Invaders Deluxe, and more.

Wow, so many great recommendations...Thanks everyone! My list at the moment looks like this: Combat Warlords Berzerk - this just looks fun Adventure - another of my favorites from the FB2 and as everyone pointed out its a classic Yar's Revenge - another one that most people recommended Cosmic Ark - this has what looks to be a good multiplayer aspect as well as solid singleplayer gameplay I do like the idea of the harmony cart so that may be next...

So I already have a Flashback 2+, some real 2600 sticks, and 2 sets of paddles. I'm hoping to acquire a real VCS and maybe 4-5 games very soon though, because I like having real hardware to play games on. Does anyone have some recommendations on games are that not too rare and fun? A good multiplayer aspect is important to me too, but that's secondary. I figure I'll try to pick up Combat and Warlords, but I need a few ideas for what else to get. Warlords just because it's my favorite on the FB2 and one of the best multiplayer games I've played, and Combat because it doesn't seem right to own a VCS and not have Combat.

I need to find the name of this SMB hack.

Anyone ever been to Joe's Video Games in Rock Hill, SC? I'm thinking about making a trip there today as its only about an hour away from me. Just wondering what the prices and selection are like. Also, if anyone knows any other vintage game stores in SC, I'd love to know about them!
