I don't usually go after things so hard to come by. Nice when they do come along but I don't try real hard to find them. If I were to come across one, I would probably get it. This one wasn't planned. The guy just happened to have it and I was all over it. So yeah, maybe someday, but if not, that's ok too.

jakks pacific type games installed in arcade cab
Video_Invader replied to Video_Invader's topic in Arcade and Pinball
I'll probably just get a board. Don't really feel like changing the monitor out. I was actually thinking I might put a ninja turtles game in there since the cabinet is nearly identical. Haven't found any cabinet art though. -
No problem. This is what I got from the International Arcade Museum. It describes it as: The game is encased in a black cocktail table with panel veneer on the sides. It appears to be very similar to the early Atari cocktails, with their rectangular glass and control panels along both sides. The overlay says "Star Series" and "Potomac" on both control panels. The underglass stickers have the "Star Warrior" game title and indicate that the game was produced by Potomac Mortgage Company of Dallas Texas.

MAME...dang, sure would like to use it, but...

Kinda what I figured but like you said, everybody has different opinions and all but in the end, I never saw where it really mattered. -

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought it was illegal to use roms in mame for games you don't own. Although, if that's the case, who the hell would own 10,000 games and be able to use all those roms. Just like the one time, I read on a site that had Genesis roms that you could download, that if you download these roms and don't have the actual cartridges that you are to delete the file within 24 hours. I don't get it. -

Video_Invader replied to Video_Invader's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Yeah I cant imagine having the nerve to even open and enjoy such a game after paying those prices. Why buy just to look at? -

Lol. I have a couple consoles I could probably do that with. -
What's with the stupid grading system and the 3000 dollar price tags on games just because they are sitting in a plastic case with something like and 85+ grade? I don't get it. Very few people are going to pay that kind of price. Maybe if it's 1 of only a handful made but I cant see it.

Best replacement speaker for Sega Turbo
Video_Invader replied to Video_Invader's topic in Arcade and Pinball
I think i'll just go with what I found on ebay. -
I have the cockpit version of Turbo. The sub underneath by the pedal works great but the one behind the seat has lost all of its surround material. What would be a proper replacement for this? I found these on ebay but not sure if it'll work. http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fitm%2F370634716100%3FssPageName%3DSTRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT%26_trksid%3Dp3984.m1423.l2649

Looking to put in a joystick all-in-1 games controller in a failed basketball arcade cabinet. What will I need to connect the yellow rca video jack to the original 25" crt monitor?

Would you support a crowd funded, brand new, Atari 2600 console?
Video_Invader replied to Dr Manhattan's topic in Atari 2600
I wouldn't bother. Thing should be left as they are. Are we going to recreate the Playstation 3 40 years from now? -
Wow! Atari 2600 was released in the 60's, not 70's!

There's games here but damn hard to locate. Most people overprice them. I've actually had pretty good luck lately with the gamexchange here when it comes to ps1 and ps2 games but usually on anything older, I have to order online. Yard sales used to be good but that was 10 years ago. Once in awhile, the thrift stores will turn up something but rare. Just recently picked up a Colecovision with games and a Vic 20 with games for 30 at a thrift in hot springs. -
Everyday is a school day lmao. Check this out. http://littlerock.craigslist.org/tag/3625395422.html This is what annoys me. Someone has something and knows absolutely nothing about it.
