Cool find, though I don't think I've ever had the guts (or stomache) to go digging in someone's trash for the .00000001% chance of finding anything gaming related.
didn't have to "dig". Reason I stopped is because I could see something standing up out of the can. When I stopped to check it out, it was just sitting on top of a black bag. All my years of finding systems, cartridges, and accessories in dumpsters, not once have I ever touched something less than clean. Most of the items at the goodwill bin were clean donated clothes, hangers, candles, kitchenware, etc. No actual kitchen garbage.

Update: Fin ally picked up some Saturn games. 3 games with original cases for a buck each. One just happened to be a driving game. The Saturn wheel checks out 100%. Now if I could just find a regular controller.
-
And on top of that, I messaged corporate days go about all of this and haven't heard anything.
-
They are completely useless.

I've had it with them! Nearly every time i go there, i bring my cases to the counter so they can look for the discs and there's always one that they cannot find. Then i go there a couple weeks ago and i hear smashing sounds coming from the back room. I go to look and the employees leave one girl at the counter to work while they laugh and have a good old time smashing systems with a rock about the size of a basketball. I ask them what the hell they're doing and they said systems that don't work need to be destroyed so people don't go digging in the dumpster to get them and bring them back in here to sell. They were smashing a Dreamcast at the moment. There has to be a better way. Doesn't anyone know how to repair things anymore. It just disgusts me.

My consoles don't have it but my refurbished controllers from Best have the pink cover over the plate and I have it on there. Even if I had it in the console I would still have it left on there without peeling it off. I like to keep my consoles and accessories in the best condition possible.
Not sure if i'd consider that the best condition possible. I've seen what can happen. Best to find one that had the plastic removed like it was supposed to and was well taken care of. Looks better with it off too.

I can't beleave you don't know what is a EverDrive
How long have you been in Gaming?
Since the 80's. I don't usually bother with anything outside the original games and hardware. I haven't bout any homebrews or addons. They didn't have this stuff back then and i usually buy original games.

I've been seeing alot of talk on here about these and i wonder what exactly is an Everdrive? What systems use one? Where do you buy them and how much?
-
Yes, definitely get one. I liked the Zillion games and Alex Kidd.

I used to play the heck out of outrun 2019. As for Urban Strike, From what i heard, the strike series was supposed to be pretty good.

Hi guys,
I have a Samsung GXTV. Had it when it launched and still use it everyday in one of my rooms. Audio is fantastic when I play classic games on this unit. For games that are known for its music, I blast the volume on this bad boy. Samsung's best TV ever made (IMO). Wouldn't give it up for nothing!
Anthony...
Nothing wrong with that! Might pick one up someday. I'm just a sucker for bigger screens tho.

Yeah stupid me, I think I burned this one at a much higher speed. It is Maxell. I put a music cd in yesterday and it played.
-
It was spinning when i first got it but would eject the disc. Changed with parts from that pc drive i picked up. Wouldn't spin anymore. Put original back in and spinning again. I think changing everything else helped because it actually tries to read now but i think i'm gonna need an original disc and not a cdr..

Most 90's tvs were junk. Should be able to find one. I probably should have bought it when i had the chance but i just didnt really care.
-
Well the guy went and sold it on me. I'm getting tired of trusting ANYONE when it comes to buying most anything. Especially video games. Oh well. Maybe i'll get one someday.

-
Well, changed back to the original lens and now it spins again. Actually tried to load but i think this cdr burn is not working. Need to get a real game to test.
-
Update: still haven't figured this thing out. At this point, i've changed everything in this unit but i realized that the disc used to spin before i made all these changes so i'm gonna put the original lens back in and see what happens.
-
I've made arrangements to get this. I'll post again when i have it.

LOL, evrything works from what i know but he did mention having a hard time getting it to come in clear on a tv. I've seen this before in these where theres alot of static and noise. Seems to be rf related. Shouldnt be a hard fix.

That would have been a nice haul had it not been for the goo. Thats about the time i found a colecovision and 18 games for $50 in the local paper and went to the guys house to pick up. Remember it like it was yesterday. Was probably more around 91 or so. Memeories. As for the wheel, i'll test it whenever i get a saturn. Even if it needs repair, i'll probably fix it.

Never touch another man's rhubarb.
Did the Saturn wheel work?
I dont see why it wouldn't but i'm unable to test right now as i dont have a saturn. The local shop has one for $50 and i haven't brought myself to pay that much yet.

Found a Sega Saturn steering wheel in a trash can!

Some years back, I found a few of those at separate times and locations. Blue, green, and maybe others. Been awhile. Never kept very long as I've never really use mac os.
