  1. I've made arrangements to get this. I'll post again when i have it.
  2. LOL, evrything works from what i know but he did mention having a hard time getting it to come in clear on a tv. I've seen this before in these where theres alot of static and noise. Seems to be rf related. Shouldnt be a hard fix.
  3. I can pick up the following pictured items for $120 shipped. Is that a good deal?
  4. That would have been a nice haul had it not been for the goo. Thats about the time i found a colecovision and 18 games for $50 in the local paper and went to the guys house to pick up. Remember it like it was yesterday. Was probably more around 91 or so. Memeories. As for the wheel, i'll test it whenever i get a saturn. Even if it needs repair, i'll probably fix it.
  5. I dont see why it wouldn't but i'm unable to test right now as i dont have a saturn. The local shop has one for $50 and i haven't brought myself to pay that much yet.
  6. In the past, ive found everything from tvs, to dvd players, and the occasional game system. Found a couple 2600's in the trash. Once found a Colecovision. A PS2, an Intellivision. I dont find as much where i live versus where i lived before but i still find alot of tv sets since i collect older crt sets. I recently picked up a 56" HDTV projection set capapble of 1080i. Just yesterday, i picked up an RCA 46" projection set manufactured in 82. Had a sign on it that said "good tv works free".
  7. I'll be curious to see how my SNES turns out. Its not the worst i've seen and its only on certain parts. Not the intire unit.
  8. Was out driving the other day and saw something black sticking up out of a 32 gallon trash can. Thought it was something decent so stopped and found out it was a Sega branded Saturn wheel. Intact and in great shape. Stopped at a yard sale a few minutes later and picked up a SNES for $15. Not a bad day.

  10. I'm curious. Has anyone actually discovered a color match for the gray and painted over the yellowing plastic? I'd be interested in what works and how.
  11. Definitely must be for the computer line they had in the day. I wouldn't mind one for a console like the 5200 but wouldnt have any use for a display for a computer. Decent part of history worth saving.
  12. I'll have to check. Not sure where the switch is. Tray closes and the eye bounces and moves like its seeking for a disc. What about the switch next to the motor that the eye comes in contact with when it comes all the way back? Does that have anything to do with it?
  13. Was reading somewhere yesterday about this motor not spinning, a common problem on these all the way back to 1995. They said using a little oil solves the problem. Maybe i'll try that.
  14. Went in yesterday and changed out the laser and tested, still nothing. Eye moves back and forth as if seeking but I noticed the disc doesn't turn. You can spin it but it wont turn on its own. Checked connections and decided to switch out the motor. Still nothing. What could cause this?
  15. Sweet! i had a feeling. Picked it up yesterday for $5. Thought it was a bit much but if it'll get the 3DO working, it's well worth it.
  16. I think I've found what I need. A 1994 PC drive made by the same company that made the drive in the 3DO. Matsushita Kotobuki Electronics.
  17. Googled it and only came up with an old Creative cd drive. Not sure if thats what i'm supposed to look for or what. Im surprised there isn't more on this. I know i'm not the only one thats had this problem before. I'm sure it would be good to get this running again.
  18. Any particular brand of pc? Anything from around 1993? probably old 486 computers huh?

      This corn is raw!

Couldn't we just take pills? And cook the corn?

Great movie. I'm hanging an original 1983 "WarGames" poster in my office tomorrow.

      Hello, Joshua!

Strange game. The only winning move is not to play!

  20. i already watched that video earlier......what i could of it. My current internet doesnt stream video very well. It looks like this guy ordered a laser for an FZ-10 and it was modified to work. Not sure what was done or how to do it.
  21. A little hestiant about messing with anything seeing as it could actually make it worse and i dont have a meter for testing.
  22. Did some cleaning and still nothing. Disc spins, laser moves, and after a few seconds, ejects tray. Running it without a disc, you can see the movement and a faint red beam but thats it. Not sure if i should look for a replacement laser or if there is some other problem here.
  23. I'll just have to roder one when i order my other controllers i need.
  24. Yeah i know hoe they do things. Looked everywhere but nothing. They have a bad habit of getting tv sets in with remotes, pricing the tv with no remote and throwing the remotes in the bin for 50 cents each.
