  1. I wonder how many of these are skipped over by people in thrift stores because they think its a normal CD player.

Thats what i was thinking. I usually look close at these thing though because you never know. The word "Interactive" gave it away for me. No regular cd player would have that on it.

  2. Missile Command huh? Ok, arcade:). A report was made about two guys breaking into a home across town. When they left, a neigbor followed them which led to another house which turned out to be theirs, lol. Police were called to the scene just as they were unloading their newly acquired cargo. Inside, they found flat screens, DVD, bluray, video games, jewelry, guns, just about anything you can imagine. They said they were going to eventually unload it all but just had not got around to it yet. Yeah, too busy going through other peoples houses at the time.

  3. Woohoo! The somehow managed to recover everything that was taken. Lucky break! Looks like they'll be in lockdown for awhile. My whole point of this is we all need to do whatever it takes to protect our collection. I'm gonna be moving soon anyway. Tired of drug dealing going on down the street and speeding vehicles. I have a child that cant even play outside because of this.

  4. Emulations ok. I've tried it off and on since 2005 but I usually stick to the real thing. Nothing really rare taken but they did confirm it was them. They even admitted and bragged about it. Turns out the truck they were in is stolen too. They have recovered a bunch of stuff. Have to go in tomorrow to identify my stuff. I hope nothing damaged. My last ps3 got the red light so fortunately, the newest machine they got was my ps2.

  5. Thanks guys for understanding. I guess even tho I have used emulation in the past, I still prefer the real thing because of nostalgia and its stuff I grew up with. This has been a disaster but I have hope. I got a call a couple hours ago saying they think they've found the jerks that did this. Apparently they hit several houses in the area. I'll know more in a couple days. I picked up a dream as for 40 bucks so I'm happy bout that.

  6. I just realized that I've already been discussing emulation with the OP in another thread:

    http://atariage.com/forums/topic/237109-nulldc-on-dell-inspiron-n5050what-setting-do-i-use/

He has a capable system and he even mentions familiarity with emulating and a history of doing so.

that capable laptop was taken as well if you read further up. I didn't know this was going to turn into an accusation issue. For that matter, I don't want anything from anybody. I'll figure this out on my own. Emulation is not for me as I want to play PS one games and ps2 as well. Just gonna have to start over thats all. I've done it before.

  7. I guess I'm out. Emulation just hasn't worked for me. Lack of a decent CPU or graphics ability. Lack of a good controller and being forced to memorize and use keys on the keyboard. Issues setting up emulators and dealing with missing .dll files. Crappy download speeds, not to mention lag or issues with speed. Cant afford a decent computer anyway. I miss my Sega cd the most. Plus it played burn games too.

  8. Can anyone help me with some games and a couple of systems? Maybe someone has a bunch of doubles or spare stuff just lying around. I ran across several pics of my old collection. Couldn't have been anyone I know. We never have anyone over and we don't know anyone. Were pretty much hermits. Must have been a random hit. There have been others that were victim to the same.

  9. Cops just filed report. Nothing else. Laptop, tv, u name it. Games were sega cd/genesis stuff, dreamcast stuff, PS2, PS1, Atari 5200 and 40 games, Intellivision, Gamecube. I'm disabled so trying to get all this bac\k is probably gonna be very hard. No real money to spend so im not sure if i can even continue this as a hobby after this..:(

  10.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. What I meant to communicate was that Dreamcast emulation was far from running at full speed back then. It's possible there was a build at one point that incorporated various hacks to get Sonic running, but I'm not aware of anything like that. Dreamcast emulation is extremely CPU intensive, unless certain components are faked or simply not emulated, as is the case with Reicast.

Ah ok. Probably just pick up a Dreamcast next month. How good is Reicast? I have an RCA RCT6378W2 7" Tablet. Would that run well?

  11. Mine had the wireless. I got refunds today on them as i decided to stick to original hardware. I am however interestef in the portable genesis game that has the sd card slot. Its blue and black. Also has tv output. Walgreens had one marked down to 25 but it was gone when i checked today. Does anyone know who else sell this? I see Gamestop has them online only but they're $50
