  1. I knew what you meant as far as the adjustment but i was wondering which i should check first. Stick or console. When i make the adjustment with the breakout game, will i be aligning up and down directions while i'm focusing on left and right? As for the cartridge door, been there before. No problem. How did this fall out of alignment in the first place?

  2. Why is it that some sticks have issues going right, up, or down while playing Zaxxon but when playing Pac-Man, everything works normal? Also noticed the paddle on Super Breakout never goes all the way to the right regardless of which stick i use.

  3. I'm surprised noone had an answer to this. I've never come across a bad led till now. Decided to open the unit up figuring it could be one of two things. Either loose or dead. I happened to have an exact match on hand so after moving the led around and still getting nothing, i took the new one and jumped it across the two leads and it worked so i went ahead and removed the old one and put in the new one. Back in action again.

  4. Yeah i never came across anything that cheap back then. There was a store called Altmans Discount many years ago that sold quite a few Atari Xl/XE 2600 and 7800 games. I bought several of them myself. Store closed sometime in the 90's but i cant remember what year. They were similar to todays Big Lots. Carrying closeout and dis-continued items. Then there was Bud's Discount Warehouse. Bud Walton. Brother of Sam Walton (Wal-Mart). I remember buying a dented brand new vcr for $10 when they were normally over $100. They had some SNES and 3DO games at the time. That store closed in the 90's too.

  5. I don't know about your local KB's, but ours was too small and always a mess. Not much of a loss when they closed up.

Ours was on the small side and i do remember seeing items on the floor that were knocked off shelves. I always wondered about that. As for Childs World, i kinda wish they were still around. Just as well though. If they were, They would be selling ps4 instead of Atari.

  6. I don't recall a Children's Palace , but I do remember a Child's World by a mall my parents used to frequent. Definitely recall going there around the late '80s cause of the fact of I purchased some of my NES and SMS games at that particular store. I also to seem to recall they were slightly more expensive as compared toToys 'r us. Maybe that's why they folded? That timeline seems about right to on when they cease to exist. The one I mentioned I don't think made it past 1990... I always keep the price stickers on all my games... kinda of a blast from the past thing. I remember Camelot Music. We had one here in the mall till it became fye. Used to have a Kay-Bee toys store. Whatever happened to them? Are they still around? I pre-ordered my Dreamcast there in 99. I remember several years ago when they still had a few sealed 7800/2600 games leftover that they were trying to clear out.

  7. It will be interesting to see what happens to the prices after being released on VC. I bought Gamecube Pikmin 2 about a month before the Wii rerelease was announced, since then the eBay sales for good complete copies have not dropped much. They were going from $45-55 on average and now they are still mostly selling for $42-50 and loose discs still going for $30. Granted the production numbers for Earthbound were probably much more.

Yeah. It was good to sell now before any major price drops take place. Even if they don't drop much lower, no big deal. I'll probably never buy another one. Never really played it. Got too many games now as it is.
