Well apparantly someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed today, especially over the pissed off pm you sent me. I was not calling you a fool. I said fool in regards to anyone who pays 4 digits for an earthbound that is sealed, since no earthbound ever came sealed.
Since you are so nice and all I will add what I didn't post earlier.
This game is dropping in value now, it had it's day now it's gone. It was only a matter of time. The virtual release expedited this drop, it's already in motion. All there is to do now is wait and see how much it drops.
Nothing to do with getting up on the wrong side of the bed. I simply don't need a nitpicker commenting on something as irrelavant as how they were sold new. As for the "vitual" release coming out, Most people already know about that. It's been in the works. I could care less how much it comes down. The guy with his $4000 game will hurt the most from the drop. I was simply checking the market right now to see what i could get but i have no interest in selling unless a decent offer was made. I'd rather own and actual "vintage" copy for the SNES rather than just some download on a system it wasn't even created for.

He doesn't have proof.

A fool is born every day. This game never came sealed.
Who's the fool?? There's one on ebay right now for $4000. To me, sealed just means "new". I guess i'll just have to use that term from now on. Everybodys a critic.
-
Doesn't matter how many years he's been on ebay. He needs to research things first before assuming anything. His good rating with go down the toilet if he keeps up.
-
WOW, those ePay prices are crazy. is that normal??
Yeah. Normal for EvilBay. I've seen them in the $800 range. Don't find a sealed one though. You'll be looking at 4 digits instead of 3.
-
Still available. Highest offer has been $200.
-
I'd take it off. WD-40 works really well for removing glue left behind on the plate.
Yeah and i used the last of mine for brush pile fuel.
Well, off to the store i guess. -
Now it says listing ended by the seller because the item is no longer for sale. Maybe the idiot finally wised up. Not to sure about that though.

-
Perhaps and adhesive remover like Goo-Gone. Keep the strong stuff away from the plastic, it will melt it.
Yeah i've used that and goof off. Plastic is a no no.
-
PM sent for 5200 games.
-
Which comes to the bad news. Seeing is how a 5200 is over 20 years old, i removed the film today and of course it left residue. A mess. Now i need to find something that'll remove it.
-
PM sent for boxed 7800 games, boxed 2600 games and 5200 redemtion.
-
Make me an offer.
-
Pmed you for Commodore 64 games and you never got back to me.
-
I'd say remove it, but the few I've seen with it still on had almost become permanently attached.

Same here. Hasn't always been the case though. This one looks like it'll be no problem. I'll update once i remove it and see what happens.
-
I usually remove the plastic. I've heard that it can leave residue on the aluminum, but more importantly, dust and dirt can become trapped underneath it, and will grind against the aluminum over time and scratch it. Plus, the plates just look much better without it.
If you're concerned that the plates will be damaged without the plastic to protect them, I would suggest picking up some of Jerry and Barb's Custom Dust Covers. They offer covers for the 5200 console and for the 5200 Trak-Ball controllers, among many others, and they look great while offering better protection than a piece of pink plastic film ever could!
Agreed. I saw those on ebay awhile back. They look really good. I'm going to need quite a few.
-
Hmm, maybe list 20 or so of these "props", with die cut high quality labels.

Sounds like a damn good idea to me.

-
Just reported. And was called a "tattle tale" by him.

Poor baby. He'll get over it. Just reported him again as well.
-
Looks like it was removed!

-
i just offered him $1.00 and everyone else should do the same. flood that f----r's inbox!
LMAO, that's exactly what i offered him. Well hell, he did say make an offer or move on. Actually, i did both. I made my $1 offer and moved on.

-
I'll second this question. My 5200 has its pink plastic over the metal band and I'd like to remove it. Left up to me, I'd toss the thing; I'm curious if, in the event that I ever have to sell the unit, I might be able to squeeze another $0.85 out of somebody because it's still there. (I'm becoming more and more like my dad as the years pass.
)know what you mean.
-
I guess no one has ever come across anything with plastic still on it. Happens all the time. I've had TG16's and SMS units with plastic.
-
I just made the same report to ebay. I can't believe what he ahd to say about us. Now he thinks he'll sell it?
-
This listing was ended by the seller because the item is no longer available.
Good job, no doubt it will be re-listed at some point with more comments about us "Atariager's" that don't know what we are talking about lol.

I'm glad someones taking action on him.

Not sure i'd ever want to pay that much for any single game. I never understood why a game would bring $13,000 the way some have.
