  1. Tons of cheetos and 7up are being processed into Intellivision games 🤓

Are you making video games for Tommy now?  Make sure that collecting 7-up logo actually get you 7 extra lives.

The Intellivision game I planned to post tomorrow, won't be posted because 1) the programming hack weekend where I intended to work on it got cancelled due the C word, 2) I never found time elsewhere to work on it and 3) I realized it probably would offend some people.

Might turn out better than the ginger ale and animal crackers the original games were made of 🤔

  2. World 2 is built of snow blocks. Some people wanted a 069 password showing ponies doing their things... but Rev strictly said he didn't want a 18+ sticker on the box.
  3. When you are thinking something, Rev already thought about it!!!
  4. Hi again. I'm back with a new game for Intellivision Revolution (this thread was also meant to be titled "not everything is posted by Rev") This game is ready and should be published sometime in 2020 in physical format Enjoy it!
  5. On my Macbook it happens like the first half of second but it doesn't happen always.
  6. If you are staying at home, all my programming books with big discounts plus 15% with LULU15 coupon code ;) http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/nanochess

  7. The easiest way is to use a flag variable. The error message comes from the fact that jumping to a PROCEDURE (subroutine) inserts extra information into the stack, so on return it would crash.
  8. Not so difficult, but I need to design a new cover because the book is bigger by the outside. I'll think about it.
  9. It is possible but for some weird reason it isn't eligible for Amazon distribution.
  10. Now available my new book "More Boot Sector Games", hardcover and paperback. http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/nanochess

  11. Now there's a second part to my book and it's titled "More Boot Sector Games" Includes full source code and comments to cubicDoom, bootOS, bootRogue, Bricks and Follow the Light. Proofreaded by @Zendocon and foreword by Anatoly Shashkin (Twitter @dosnostalgic). http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/nanochess
  12. There is a trick to enhance control softness. You preserve the previous move direction, and you use it again when the player tries to go in a direction that isn't possible. So if the player goes down and then tries to go right, it keeps moving down until it can move right.
  13. You need to locate five crosses, some are visible, and some only appear after shooting key spots. Use the pause to see how many crosses you have.
  14. Hi all. It's my absolute pleasure to announce that Princess Quest for Intellivision is now available freely as a ROM file. 😀✌️ Also it's a great opportunity to say to everyone that I appreciate your support through the years, and thanks for everytime you buy a physical copy of any of my games, and I hope to keep writing many games more for Intellivision. 🙏 Enjoy it! princess_quest_intellivision_2014.zip

Already speak about it. I've offered my chess engine as a start point. Andrew wants to follow his own route and already has something working.
  16. As I'm doing a multiplatform release, I find hard to do specific platform optimization. No idea. Never tested with that distribution. Maybe later.
  17. Yes, I find very funny that my games cause chips shortage, and also find very funny when people writes my username as NACHO-ness.
  18. There are four video modes. A must is the original VDP manual http://map.grauw.nl/resources/video/ti-vdp-programmers-guide.pdf
  19. Pretty happy of Aardvark getting the Atari 2019 Award to Best Graphics, and being runner up to Best Game award, won by Galagon. Congrats Champ Games!

Aardvark is a visual treat. I like watching it, almost as much as playing it. Congratulations to the team on your win. It was nice to see its progression from WIP at 2017 PRGE to CIB game in 2019.👍
