Hmmm! I have the cartridge version and spider look like spiders. When you lose all your lifes, I just press a button and I'm able to continue with another set of lifes, but with zero points, then if I lose all lifes the game doesn't allow further continue.

Just a curiosity, two DIFFERENT Q*bert Qubes for Colecovision (unknown variety or simply Atari version?): http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fitm%2F330919548890%3Fru%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.ebay.com%252Fsch%252Fi.html%253F_from%253DR40%2526_sacat%253D0%2526_nkw%253D330919548890%2526_rdc%253D1 http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fitm%2F200922387583%3Fru%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.ebay.com%252Fsch%252Fi.html%253F_from%253DR40%2526_sacat%253D0%2526_nkw%253D200922387583%2526_rdc%253D1 In fact I'm banging my head against wall because I got the cartridge with manual in around $70 , just for not waiting a month more .

No, it's not possible. I think you'll find the palette pretty reasonable. (there is three blue tones, three green tones, two yellows, three red (one looks like maroon), purple, gray and white) (wow!, I've used nested parenthesis ) There is a bit for collision detection, any sprite versus other, but it's not to be trusted! Hit boxs are a lot better. The standard Coleco controllers are very hard, you can always choose another controller. In fact you can use Atari controllers if you use only a button and don't use keypad. But believe me, you get accostumed to them or you change them. I've used the standard Coleco controllers for testing my own games and playing a lot of other games, easily I can talk about several hundred hours playing, and I can say you that now I have stronger hands Indeed. Oh yes!, what you call the playfield is simply the border color showing below (in fact your tiles can use the zero transparent color), and it's very useful for bombs exploding and thunders as you can change color writing to a single register. You're welcome.

I was talking through Internet with someone about the difficulties I had when getting the last two cartridges (Q*Bert Qubes and Wizmath) for my collection and unexpectedly this person said "Would you like to get a Super Sketch?", I didn't think twice, I got it! -
About sprites, the VDP can display 32 sprites from a table of 64 sprites (16x16) or 256 (8x8), but it is not limited to that as you can redefine the sprites on the fly. About characters (the background graphics), in the most advanced mode you have 3 zones each with 256 different character blocks (8x8 bitmap with independent two colors per line.) There is an indirection here as there is a screen table that refers to pattern memory, so you can update only screen table (bitmaps previously defined) or only bitmaps (more slower because more data). Also not limited as you can redefine characters on the fly.

Have been passed too many years since I leaved PC gaming when games started coming only playable online and paying $$$. From what I've read I just don't understand how MS is so blind that is cutting himself his head. I've got a lot of games from second-hand good quality because the prices for new games are plain high and I just want to play. I'm not interested in downloadable content and I'm not interested in paying for playing online (that's not online gaming, it's more like online slavery )

I'm wondering that if there exists a Halo for Atari, why it doesn't exist for Intellivision? Oh, of course, Intellivision has Donkey Kong Arcade -
