  1. One prototype of a Texas Instruments TI99/8 home computer was sold for $3,240 recently in eBay http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-57567167-1/this-lovely-10mhz-home-computer-yours-for-only-$3240/ What is surprising for me is that there are 150 of these machines running around. A lot for being only a prototype.
  2. Just I've bought another large plastic box to contain all my Colecovision treasures including the Super Game Module
  3. Wow! you're a gifted player, I've a lot of difficulties with these cannons
  4. The Galaga version for MSX is a very good one
  5. Use the ROM provided by NIAD, it's based in the Ikrananka's dump that solves the garbled graphics. I'll be glad to know your experience
  6. Thanks NIAD for testing in a real ADAM. My tests were ran exclusively in emulator, I've won the game with save states. Later I should try to win the game in my Colecovision
  7. As said before, the Super Cobra game has a mess in RAM memory access that prevents it from working in the Coleco ADAM as it requires the 1K RAM mirroring of Colecovision. Following Ikrananka's dump I've changed carefully each access to $6000-$63ff to be at $7000-$73ff (the other way looked more difficult), I've tested it in BlueMSX with internal RAM changed to 8K, so it also should work fine over a Coleco ADAM. Indeed was an interesting challenge and a nightmare to check every byte and double-checked just to see I didn't miss any bytes. As a note of warning, there are 192 different bytes patched, if you miss one then you'll see strange effects in the game. If anyone publishes a patched ROM, please DON'T give me any credit. It is only my little contribution to the community. 8. Just I've contacted Michael and he says is a mistake, the right price is $39.75
  9. I'm also somewhat confused. I think that maybe is a finger mistake, because of this I don't have updated the price in my Colecovision Homebrew List.
  10. Hey Opcode, I hope you can publish information about using the programmable memory inside these new carts. It would be great to preserve high-scores and other big data
  11. Team Pixelboy finished batch period for several games and them are now permanently sold-out, though still some copies remain at Good Deal Games. I've removed NEW label from all titles as it was more than one month old.
  12. I speak Spanish so isn't so difficult to read Portuguese Nice magazine.
  13. Hey, I hope you will recover your health soon.
  14. And of course, I could not wait to weekend to test my cartridges. Everything is working just fine. I never had saw before Wonder Boy , plays very well, Quest for the Golden Chalice looks a little like Zelda, very polished graphics. I'll not say anything about my game (everyone knows by now its name!) I forget that SGM games needs the SGM, Thexder puts a little message saying it needs the SGM and Dragon's Lair shows its title screen and Zaxxon plays music! I was expecting them crashing or something, but not, everything very well done.
  15. Some MSX games music played in piano (most are available in Colecovision, some thanks to Opcode, this remember I just ordered Circus Charlie from pixelboy ):
  16. I've checked it I hold the cartridge up against light and it is beautifully thin. What a great effect , well done Luc.
  17. Don't forget to check with Mumbai, he told me that he has various CIB. I was going to buy a loose Defender cart but it was sold-out, fortunately he had the CIB, and the quality was amazing I don't have asked for the complete list because I'm short of space for CIB, currently I prefer loose carts.
  18. I've used sockets for chips for a long time. It's a good thing for changing chips a small number of times, more makes it become prone to failure. A high-quality socket can help you a lot when replacing chips that fail commonly or when testing different BIOS. Some disadvantages of SOME sockets: some sockets "expulse" the chips a little (you should "press" at least every year), some sockets "oxydize" and fail to make contact, them introduce some noise in the signal, even I've found some sockets that "break" by below when you insert a chip so a pin could be without contact!
  19. Finally I've got my cartridges from Team Pixelboy. I'm pretty happy with how Princess Quest looks. Simply amazing! Besides I've got Quest for the Golden Chalice (the golden cartridge looks awesome!), Wonder Boy, Thexder (blue cartridge), Dragon's Lair (beautiful transparent red) and Super Zaxxon . Now I'm waiting eagerly for my SGM
  20. It looks like the seller used an old box. This never should happen as them begin to become fragile. Besides it should be filled so the inner item is tightly packed to not "dance" inside and to absorb blows. Obviously the guy never has traveled or bought something from other country, otherwise he would know how the packets are treated in transit.
  21. The Atarimax Ultimate SD Colecovision cartridge supports Megacart. Is the one I've used for testing Princess Quest (256K) and Mecha Eight (128K)
  22. Before I thought that the label deteriorated was a sign of bad care from the owner. I was very wrong...
  23. By the wording in the letter, as Hal is Japanese, it looks more like they thought you offered they a port for publishing.
