Luc, I think I could put a label 'BATCH' for your selected games in my list and link to the thread were you will offer your games. -
Colecovision homebrew availability list
nanochess replied to nanochess's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Ok, Luc. I've updated to point to gooddealgames.com, he has a few. -
There wil be always someone that couldn't buy the cartridge for various reasons. So the basic problem is that there are no more cartridges. But we should distinguish between two classes of people: collectors to who collecting is very important, and players that only want to play the game. In the case of collectors, looks like it's important to know how many CIB have been manufactured and some believe that collection loses value if more CIB are manufactured after first batch. So I suggest to include a graphic in box and cart label (not a seal, it could be altered) telling batch/edition "1st. edition", "2nd. edition" and so. I'm pretty sure that all the good collectors will got their game in the first batch. In case of players that only want to play the game, it's more important to have the loose cartridge. So manufacturers can give the option to sell loose cartridges AFTER CIB are sold-out and probably in common black cases but with nice labels. Personally as a player I would like to have at least a try to several games (Fireman, Ghost&Zombies and Smurf Challenge comes to my head) and I would be wiling to buy a loose cartridge at a fair price.

Hi everybody. Just I've finished most of the Colecovision Homebrew Availability list, currently covering only CIB releases. I'm surprised by the length of the list (I though there were a lot less games) and that some cartridges that looked like sold-out are in fact available. Enjoy it! http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/206287-colecovision-homebrew-availability-list/ P.D: I'd appreciate errata advisement, info and updates.

I've put a keyword 'NEW' in the list for taking in account Bennybingo suggestion. By the way, one hour to midnight but I've finished the list after visiting the main sites for homebrew games. These are a lot of games! Enjoy it! (check post #49)

Colecovision homebrew availability list
nanochess replied to nanochess's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Thanks Pixelboy, you've helped me a lot -
I've started a Colecovision homebrew availability list in Marketplace (as it allows all-time edit) It's currently a work in progress and I'll try to finish most of it this coming week. I would need more info like prices info from retroillucid, also prices and availability from Pixelboy. The idea is that Colecovision users can get this information in one place. http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/206287-colecovision-homebrew-availability-list/ Feel free to comment about this. Currently I'm fighting with format
-
There was some talk in Colecovision/ADAM forums about people that doesn't know of current homebrew cartridges available for Colecovision and some that unfortunately have paid some very high prices in eBay. So I'm starting this topic to keep people and collectors informed of current availability of Colecovision cartridges and last known price. (please could a moderator make it pinned? thanks) Maybe in a future I'll extend it to boxes and I'll mark loose cartridges, but currently I'll list only CIB with his last known price tag and current status (released, sold-out and how many copies in this case) and primary source for availability, first main developer and then next available when sold out. NOT INCLUDING non-released games or free games, the first because sometimes them can stale for months or years. List follows and I'll update it as time allows me and as soon as possible when new homebrews are available (any help will be greatly appreciated, like errata, sites with games listed currently as sold out and prices for fields filled with ??????): Title..............Author..... I'm between three points, I'm a developer, I'm a buyer of cartridges and sometimes I'm a seller. As a developer, I'd would trigger my very human vanity to see one of my games reaching a very high price, even if I don't get any of that money (though it would be nice to get some ). As a buyer, I'm very sad to see that some Colecovision cartridges reach a price so high that it's irrational and I possibly never I will manage to get complete my collection. I've been caught in sites with offers at a nice price but dirty label cartridges, but I'm learning as I'm new to this (by the way mumbai surprised me with reasonable prices and high quality) As a seller here at Mexico, mostly of Atari carts through my friends, I simply divide my final invoice (including shipping) by all cartridges and I add a reasonable 30% so I can do discounts, and always I'm ending with better prices that all the cartridges available at mercadolibre.com.mx (our local ebay). So I think I'm not greedy and again I hope to buy some more cartridges and repeat the cycle. So as we live in a free market, I believe Rellik111 has the right to sell the games at the price he wants. But the other side of the free market is that sometimes there is no moral so a lot of people will feel that is harsh, specially if as said he asked to get a special item without telling about his intentions (in this point would be fair to share the money with the original seller, IMHO) Anyway doesn't look like Rellik111 has a queue of people waiting, people will start learning there are better offers and economy will get equilibrium so Rellik111 will have to reduce his prices, so there is limited damage (like I've learned to ignore ebay ;D). Anyway remember the old joke of the man selling replica statues, he had two lots, one at 5$ each and other at 10$ each, someone asked what's the difference, "none", he said, "but some people prefers to buy the 10$ statue" . If we can understand this then I hope we can come in peace.

Then already there are two mad guys: he and me, because I've also translated my games from MSX to Colecovision, and I would port to SG-1000 too but I don't know who could manufacture the cartridges . And crazyboss has suggested me ports to Memotech MTX-512 and I've heard that the Tatung Einstein is similar

Team Pixelboy News Bulletin - December 5th 2012
nanochess replied to Pixelboy's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
The completed boxes look even better I'm still astonished by the quality of artwork you provide for your boxes and carts. -
When I got an Atari for the first time I though I would need the balun, but there's a trick. If your TV antenna has two bolts then it has 300 ohms input, but if your TV has a connector looking like RCA but bigger then it has 75 ohms input (almost all modern TV are this way) and you can connect your Atari directly to TV without the balun.
-
I've played it recently and it's a great remake! thanks for sharing, Internet is so huge that we can easily miss many things.
-
Most open source programs are free for non-commercial usage. Your problem would be that many of the required ROM for emulators are still under copyright but I don't think there is any problem if you don't earn anything, anyway the machines are plain dead, by example BlueMSX includes lots of ROM from MSX machines and Colecovision. (note I'm not saying that this is legal) On the other side, don't include games ROM, most companies aren't very fond of this.

ALL CV Prototype Games Here! (could be, at least)
nanochess replied to retroillucid's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
A pretty difficult topic. If I were a collector I would be very worried to lose of sight a valuable prototype, and by valuable sometimes we're not talking of money but some emotional value. Next point, some collectors (as I've read before in Atariage) doesn't want to release even ROM files because they think his prototype loses value or they paid a very high price so they don't want everybody else to enjoy it for free. Another point, other collectors (also seen in Atariage) would like to release ROM files but they don't want to see it commercially distributed, and though here in Atariage people is very educated, we have seen the ebay surge of not-so-good people that marks everything as "rare" Anyway my proposal is that collectors should take good quality pictures for the history's benefit and get equipment to dump ROM on their own, as the ROM continously oxydizes and would be a shame (even for the collector) to lose something unique. Maybe sometimes even the collector wants to remain anonymous, so I suggest to send pictures to NYAD just to tell that in effect the prototype exists, and maybe in some time, the collector would like to share the ROM under his terms, maybe even selling the dump and keeping the original prototype, I'm sure everybody here would contribute some money in order to release ROM for community benefit. Certainly I would put some money to contribute to pay for the ROM of Wizard of Wor or He Man. -
It is the problem of any thread using the "vs" (versus) word in title (check C64 versus Atari) People starts thinking that one of the two should win. But reality is that though I understand both Z80 and 6502, I prefer more Z80. And everyone here have their own preference. That's all folks! Now go in peace and write some good code.
