  1. I'm 50 and live in Derby, England. My first Atari setup was a 130XE with a 1050 Disk Drive and 1010 recorder. It was (and still is) Superb!
  2. I cant remember how to get the briefcase out of the Plymouth so I'm stuck around the car park. I did get into the security office many years ago so I've got a long way to go! In answer to your question......... Not very far!!!!
  3. Done that and I've still got the bruises!
  4. Thanks orpheuswaiting, that would be great! I'm sure years ago I got the briefcase out of the Plymouth but I can't remember how! I also recall drilling holes in the floor, using an umbrella - I'm sure it will all come fllding back! Thanks, Richard
  5. Sorry faicuai, did not see your reply before my reply!
  6. Hi, Won't be buying any more then! Thanks for the reply but just out of interest, why do they not work? I uld think using a lower density to that required would cause problems, not higher? Cheers, Richard.
  7. Hi, Are there issues using high density floppies in a 1050? I bought some recently but they fail to format through my SIO2PC and if I try from DOS 2.5 it seems to repeat the formatting process for ever! Is this a case of only being able to use DSDD discs? Thanks in advance, Richard.
  8. Hi, I really got into this adventure game when I bought my 130XE from Dixons, but could not finish it! As I am back into Atari now I wonder if anyone has a full vocabulary list for this game? Some hints would be nice but no solutions please! I am determined to complete it on my own (mostlty)!! Thanmks, Richard.
  9. Hi, Yep, all sorted. Thanks very much for the help. Richard.
  10. Thanks orpheuswaking, I knew there was another way! Cheers, Richard
  11. Hi, New to the forum so please bear with me! Back to Atari after a few years, I have a 1050 connected via an SIO2PC to my laptop and have made many fresh disks from ATR images. My problem is that they do not all run. I know some will boot directly or require typing DOS at the prompt, but some just start to load and after a while, just display a few lines of random characters at the top of the screen. So my questions are: Am I forgetting other ways to start the games on floppies? Can some ATR's be corrupt or the image not copy correctly in any way? Frustrating, so any help most gratefully received! Thanks, Richard.
