  1. Hydian, I'll do that trade with you if you do have the TG16 power supply. It will work to my advantage too because I really don't want to give up the adapter that I found that works and the system will be easier to sell if I have an adapter with it. So let me know if you do have it and want to trade. Where in WI are you? I lived in Milwaukee for 16 years. I don't miss the weather there, although it hasn't been real great weather in CA the past few days either.
  2. Never mind. Just dug through all my adapters that I have floating around and found one that works: Input: AC 120 V 60 Hz 9 W, Output: DC 9 V 300 mA. Even with the little bit I know about electronics, I'm surprised an adapter with the mA output that much lower would work. I'm not complaining though. Another question now that I know the system works... I'm not sure I'm going to keep it. With all the accessories I listed in my first message plus the game TV Sports Football which has the case and instructions, how much could I reasonably ask as a price for it? I know the game isn't great, but I didn't want to spend much on a game since I didn't even know if the system worked, so I bought the cheapest one that the store had that interested me. **Wishes she had $30 to blow on Galaga 90 since the store had it**
  3. Can anyone give me suggestions on an alternate power supply for the Turbografx 16? I picked up a console with a turbo tap, 2 turbo sticks, a turbo pad, and rf switch for $10 at Goodwill, but the adapter that came with it is the one for the TurboExpress, so it won't work. Is there another system's power supply that would be a good substitute? I tried my Atari 5200 power supply with it, but it didn't work. The specs for the original Turbografx power adapter are: Input: AC 120 V 60 Hz 15W, Output: DC 10.5 V 730 mA, Polarity: inner plug negative, outer positive. Thanks for any info you can give me. Oh, and if anyone wants or is in need of an original TurboExpress power adapter (Product code HES-ACA-04, Input: AC 120 V 60 Hz 13 W, Output: DC 7 V, 700 mA), I am open to money offers or would be willing to trade it for Atari 2600, 5200, or 7800 games. Not sure how much it would be worth (I'm guessing not much). Maybe someone could let me know that too?
  4. Yup, you are correct. Thanks! The cart I bought is missing the end label, which is why I didn't know that.
  5. Found a copy of Hangman made by Sears. The label is the 9 Tele-Games text label. No Sears version of Hangman is listed in the rarity guide. Any idea of the rarity of this one?
  6. Did good tonight... Miner 2049er (rarity 5) for $1.99!! Also got the following for $1.99 each... Coconuts and M.A.D. (Both rarity 4) Fast Food, M*A*S*H, Spider-Man, and Star Wars Jedi Arena (All rarity 3, and getting Jedi Arena means I now have all the Star Wars games.) Crystal Castles, Dig Dug, Haunted House, Mouse Trap, and Sky Jinks (All rarity 2) They had around 30 games at the store. Mostly commons, so I got lucky with finding the rarer ones. What was interesting was that they had Space Invaders and several other commons for $5-$7, which is absolutely ridiculous. None of the ones I bought had price tags on them, so the clerk told me $1.99 apiece.
  7. Hmmm... So it seems there are several variations. I wonder if they are all common.
  8. Picked up a copy of Dig Dug at a thrift store tonight. The label on my copy says copyright 1985, not 1987 like the rarity guide says. Anyone know how common this label is?
  9. No Lynx. Sorry. I don't even own a Lynx. I don't have much to offer for trade right now. Just some 2600/7800 commons. You can see what I have by clicking on the link in my sig.
  10. The TV makes the static sound because the game sound comes from a speaker in the game system, not from the TV. If you find out how to fix the jitter problem, let me know please.
  11. Hey, you're MegaManFan, not PaulMcCraneFan! No fair! If MMF doesn't get checkers, I'll trade for it if I have anything of any interest to you. What would you want for the voice synthesizer? I'd love Donkey Kong and Carnival, but I have an INTV II, so I can't play Coleco games. GRRRRR!
  12. Updating my list of Intellivision games that I now have, thanks to wonderful people who were willing to send them to me. In addition to the ones I listed before, I now have: B-17 Bomber Beauty & the Beast Bump 'n' Jump Electric Company Math Fun Football Lock 'n' Chase Pitfall! Space Armada Space Battle I am still looking for more games if anyone has any they'd like to send me.
  13. But shipping is included in the price. Doesn't that make it worth it?
  14. These just crack me up. I don't know how many auctions for Pac Man I've seen where the starting bid is at least $5.00 and the seller is raving about how rare the game is. Is an MIB Pac Man even worth $5.00?
  15. Got a 500 piece Pac Man jigsaw puzzle for 99 cents yesterday. It's the one that's a picture of the game screen and has the Pacmaniac poem on the back of the box. Had the exact same one when I was a kid, but my parents made me throw it out at some point. So even as broke as I am, I couldn't pass it up. I counted the pieces, and it looks like they're all there, so once I get settled in California, I'm going to put it together, glue it, and hang it in my apartment. And I'll probably use the box as a decoration too. Even if there are pieces missing, the box is still cool.
  16. I love Bump n Jump, too. I have the Atari version, and I think it's pretty good. Will get a copy of Beauty and the Beast when I have the money for it.
  17. Got an Intellivision II system for $10.00 at Goodwill on Tuesday. Not as good a find as some of you get, but it's the cheapest one I've ever seen and I wanted an Intellivision, so I'm happy with it.
  18. At least I know not to bother getting Coleco games unless I can track down an INTV or INTV III. Am moving to California in a few weeks, so hopefully I will have more luck finding things there. Bigger city and more thrift stores at least. I only have 6 games so far, but BurgerTime is definitely my favorite. It's a billion times better than the Atari version. I love that game and I was so disappointed with the Atari version when I got it. I also have Frogger for INTV and I actually like the Atari versions (I have both 2600 and 5200) better. And I would say that the Atari and INTV versions of The Empire Strikes Back are about equal. Thanks again for the info!
  19. Thought I'd try this again, since I had a few kind souls willing to send me Atari games for free. I picked up an INTV II system at Goodwill last night, so now I need some games for it. They had some loose carts there, but they wanted $4.00 apiece for them, which I felt was overpriced for loose commons, so I only bought BurgerTime. The games I have from other purchases when I had money are: BurgerTime Frogger The Empire Strikes Back Astrosmash Las Vegas Poker & Blackjack Tennis I'm looking for the more well-known arcade ports (PacMan, Bump n Jump, QBert, Ladybug, Pole Position, Dig Dug, etc.), but will take any games I don't have. I would like overlays if possible, but I will take games without them. I will pay for shipping costs, or if you want to trade, I have the following loose 2600/7800 carts for trade (which I would also trade for 2600, 5200, or 7800 games I don't have): Pac Man (2) Asteroids (2) Donkey Kong RealSports Baseball Defender Outlaw Yars' Revenge Tennis Warlords Starmaster Stampede Boxing Championship Soccer Frogger (no label) All of these are the standard labels for the game. I also have a Nintendo RFU I would trade. ETA: I also have a somewhat temperamental light-sixer 2600 system only (no controllers) that I would be willing to trade for Atari or INTV games. Thanks!
  20. Fortunately I also own a 5200 and the power supply works great for the INTV II. Thank you so much for the info!!! So I'm using a 5200 adapter and the video cable from my 7800 (which is actually just generic RCA cables). Nothing like running a Mattel system with Atari hookups. Have you tried any Coleco games on your INTV II? I read on an INTV site that Coleco games don't work on this unit, which is a bummer because I love Donkey Kong.
  21. I picked up an Intellivision II system at Goodwill last night, but the power adapter that was with it isn't the right one. Anyone know where I can get one? Checked eBay, no luck there.
