  1. Just pm me your address and I'll send them to you in a day or two. I have to make some room in my collection anyway.
  2. Bretthorror you have OutRun 3d or Line of Fire? Those are all I'm missing now.. just wondering if either are worth the effort to track down.
  3. What nes pad designs you got going lately? That Space Invaders is awesome btw.
  4. I have a spare StarMaster and Zaxxon if you need them still.
  5. pm and pp sent! Thanks in advance to a great seller!
  6. Do want turbo tap and Wing Commander SegaCD. Also pm'ed you about GG mod question.
  7. Purchased an assortment of Atari, Nes, and N64; he was very helpful, polite and shipped quickly! Great AA'er!
  8. I'd love to post a pic of my room, but during the summer I'm on an ipad... the app nor the standard forum website allows pic uploading from this thing. Those are some nice game caves!
  9. I would love to buy one of you Donkey Kong or Mario Bros themed sticks! Let me know when you feel like selling one! Any idea how much you'd like for one? I'm totally interested!
  10. I had a heavy 6 from either my folks or I took it home from my grandparents house after my uncles lost interest. I don't remember since I was playing Atari since I could walk. My uncles used to take turns that lasted forever at Pac-Man and Frogger. I had the H6 until I graduated college and a ex roommate got creative about whose boxes were whose and it didn't make the trip home with me. Still gets me angry. Until the NES, my spare time was dominated by C64 and Atari 2600. Good times.
  11. Very nice! I see the MK poster.. is there a Genesis/Mega Drive side to this room?
  12. Thanks.... I totally would not have guessed that. Too bad American boxes weren't like those.
  13. Sorry... HES? What is HES? Its going to bother me all day. Abbreviations make my head hurt. On another forum folks were referring to a game as StH and I thought they were talking about Sonic the Hedgehog.
  14. oh if you order the adapter, maybe get a ferite clip for your cable... those seem to help as well.
  15. Yes! The ebay link is what you need. What you have is an auto switcher, probably from a NES or Sega console. The Ataris don't fare well through those. The little doodad on ebay there is exactly what you need. Good luck and good gaming to you!
  16. You can usually get cheaper from the marketplace forums, but you'd have to pay shipping. 4 games for 16.00.... hmmm... depends on the games. Of course don't confuse rarity and price with "good." The better 7800 titles are often the commons or the stuff in the AA store. Commons: Joust Robotron Food Fight Dig Dug Donkey Kong The Atari Age store has a ton of spectacular games as well. You could also contact Pac Man Plus here on the boards and see if he has any of his homebrews still available. Moon Cresta, Scramble, and Rip Off were all great. I just regret missing a few of his releases before I started frequenting the boards.
  17. How is it connected right now? Do you have a modern flat screen tv or an older tube style set? Are you just running the RCA looking cord from the atari direct to your tv? You can get picture like that but you won't have sound. The old switch box connector is not necessary and will probably make the image worse on a newer tv. The little RCA to coax/cable adapter is what you need. You can run it in direct to your tv with that, but surprisingly I get better image running it through an old vcr with that adapter and then running RCA to the television. Let me know if pics will help. There are lots of cool things you can do to upgrade your 7800 play experience from video upgrades to controllers. One of our regulars here does an amazing job converting NES pads to Atari pads.
  18. So the Xbox works fine without that cap? I was thinking about picking up a cheap xbox or two at a thrift shop just for Halo get togethers and would be interested in sending them in for you to do some clean up and cap removal.
  19. Very nice! I lost my T16 box to water damage. Makes me wish I had the stuff for trade.
  20. Only if your the one being controlled. Gears of War, Ghost Recon, and OutRun are 3rd person. Halo, Star Wars Arcade, and Doom are 1st person.
  21. Really depends on the games. Was the system tested? Power supply included? Were the controllers prolines? Once you get your 7800 you'll probably want to invest in a 3.00 radio shack rca to coax adapter and one of Ax's Nes pad to Atari mods for 2 button games. The price might be a little high if most or all of the games are commons. 78s on ebay have been creeping up lately though so your not in crazy land at that price. Be aware for around 100.00 you can get a modern tv friendly pre modded system from Best Electronics since you're already in that ballpark. Might be worth it if you use a flat screen.
  22. yep. retro is good. Atari Othello, Pitfall, and Qbert are like comfort food for the gamer soul.
  23. Another thumbs up from me for Ax! All around A+ guy! His 7800/Nes pad conversions are amazing!
  24. Just a question. I am totally looking forward to my XM. I was reading in another thread about some 7800s having problems with Harmony chip games because of the limited power output of certain units. My two 78s both have severe problems running my Berzerk VE which is on a Melody cart. My point is, I'm sure the XM draws far more than a Harmony chip so can anyone debunk the question of power supply? Maybe I should get a third 78 to hedge my bets? I just want to be ready to go when mine gets here and make sure nothing comes between me and Bentley Bear. Just trying to avoid Murphy's Law. Has the XM been tested on some quirky units for the sake of argument?
