Wow! That is too awesome! Great game Bob! I'm not even gonna make a request (Gorf) because whatever you do is unbelievable! I have had so much fun today.

Payment sent! Address is in the ppal email message. WOOHOOO! Thanks for making another classic come to life!

Next payday I may hit you up for a companion DkJr or MsPac to go with mine. I still can't get over how cool it looks. I'm thinking MsPac would look cool with a blue decal and pink splatter.

Ok... I am so excited for this, but did Al ever give a price? Cart only or game with box and manual? I still want 2 copies... I guess my brother will get a birthday present instead of a Christmas one, but I need to make sure to have enough put back since teachers only get paid once a month.

To progress into the later difficulties it becomes vital to time your bombs seperately from your guns. It isn't a deal breaker for me, but maybe a one/two button option on the title screen similar to the way a typical 7800 game lets you choose difficulty or number of players. Either way put me down for one! I can't wait to advance into the scramble system again. You are a freaking mazing!

I'm stoked for anything it can do. Gimmee old school pc text adventures or use the port to interface with a nes power glove; I don't care. Just thanks for making the thing in the first place. oh oh.. a program that does your taxes... since that is what my parents wanted me to do with my Atari back in the day... I was 8 and they saw some stupid news report about what these new fangled computers could do. In all seriousness, thanks again guys. I am really excited by all of this and thanks for letting us follow your progress and see it all happen.

I hadn't thought about incorporating the rainbow... I'll give that a go in the morning... I left the macbook's charger at work. I want it to pop, but not do anything to game specific. I do need to pull some text. I wasted a good part of the afternoon on the idea of including the orange joystick dashes, but pulled it out.

Any suggestions? I'm working on a design to send to Axe for a 7800 nes pad for the vanity label. Currently no die is available so it will be standard grey. If anyone has any thoughts let me know. I want it to look traditional and I keep going back and forth on the layout. I'm really worried about it looking to sparse vs too busy. The dpad and buttons are just there for place holder so I wouldn't clip into it by mistake. Feedback is welcome... maybe color palette change or a simple graphic? I'm stuck.

Al, can we order two when orders open up? I'm wanting to get a spare for my brother or to put in our annual Christmas game since I know my friends will fight over it. I want one for me regardless.

I agree, as a kid, I just thought hey its Pac Man... at home. Even then I knew home versions were never gonna be as good as the arcade. We played it a ton at my grandpa's house. I remember my uncles tearing it up while my turn lasted like 5 seconds. Nobody was complaining back then. I don't think anyone was crying foul until the gaming press took off and told us how upset we were supposed to be. PM was pretty early for Atari... saying they could've done better at the time was a little unfair. They did do better... it was called Ms Pac Man... but it came later after a few new tricks were added to the system's programming repetiore. Pac Man was still a major leap past Space War and Basic Math.

Never closely ported to any of the eras relevant systems, the arcade machines are very rare in working order, and never put on any modern compilations. Gorf was such a neat product of the time. I finally gave up my cabinet because I knew I couldn't afford to fix it anymore. I still think fondly of the voice, lights, marquee, and bezel. Even the stick was very cool.

Gorf with voice samples? Nice shooting space captain! Bob.. you know you can do it!

I am also sad to have missed this one. AoD was my favorite movie when I was college. Ok, it still is.

We'll, when I was 8, I lasted 5 seconds at the arcade. I now last about ten seconds! Bob, this game is tops. I didn't think the 7800 had it in her! You're like the Atari whisperer. Been playing since I got off work and I can't thank you enough! What next sir?
-
Can't wait to play mine! I played it once in the arcade years ago and lasted like 5 seconds!

Has anyone looked into the cost of molding new cases? I would love to see AA releases in white, grey, transluscent colors, etc. Also, it would be nice to know we are preserving copies of ET and Pole Position II for future generations! Ok nevermind that.

I still can't believe Nintendo hasn't released a Duck Hunt or any zapper game for virtual console! I was hoping that led or plama gave better results than lcd.
-
THANKS GB! My only worry then is what to play first! Everybody who is putting in their time on this is my hero! Thanks for all the work guys!
-
So I know the lcd screen is the enemy of the light gun game, but is there a modern tv option that is friendly to old school zappers? I just realized that I'm on my last crt television for my game room and life without the occassional zapper game gives me a major sad.

Longhorn mod? I have an unmodded spare so I'm not sweating it. I just can't wait to save my high scores and play some sweet new games!
