Here's a couple of "Collecovision" controllers. USA only so I'm out of it:

Sometimes people don't know how to write Coleco(vision) correctly (same goes for Commodore -> Commedore, Commadore etc.), so I often do a search for Colleco or Collecovision on various auction/selling sites. I got myself a nice and very cheap CV set recently that way - simply because nobody else seemed to have noticed it

[Are different A/V mods for PAL and NTSC versions?]

As a fresh/reborn CV owner I've been looking for some info for A/V mods to spice up the picture quality, but despite a lot of info I can't really find out of there's a difference between PAL and NTSC versions. Most how-tos seem to speak of just one version of the CV motherboard.

I didn't open my CV yet so I haven't compared it to the pictures I found (I'd like to open it not too often for fear of breaking something eventually ).

 

Anyone who can shed a little light on this?

I always like the Philips helmet TV, I'm thinking of getting one for my gameroom - it just has that perfect 80s videogame vibe for me

 

Other than that, I've got a 21" Sony Trinitron CRT - those things almost can't be beaten for quality and durability...

just got myself a steering wheel and 3 games (Turbo, Time Pilot and Venture - last two with box and manual). Should probably arrive tomorrow or the day after that

It's not just a keyboard but a computer itself of course, like most 80s computers. I've seen it a few times but the name doesn't spring to mind right now, I'll see if I can refresh my memory on wikipedia or somewhere...

 

edit: no, I'm horribly wrong. It IS just a keyboard, designed for the Spectrum. Probably the Speccy itself is also residing in the case.

[What's the oldest computer you've seen in use today?]

I've encountered quite a lot of old equipment still being in use the last few years. I worked at a paint shop some 5 years ago where they had some MS-DOS machine (I think it was a 286) running a paintmixing machine.

And very recently, someone asked for help on a Dutch Amiga forum which I frequent - he works at a bowling alley where they have one Amiga 1200 for every bowling lane to run the scoring system - they've got about 12 of them I guess and they've probably been running daily for some 15 years or so.

 

And then there's of course the hundreds, thousands of old matrixprinters to print on carbonpaper (or whatever the official english name is - I think you know what I mean )

Slowly expanding my CV collection - just got myself a steering wheel and 3 games (Turbo, Time Pilot and Venture - last two with box and manual). Should probably arrive tomorrow or the day after that. Now I only need a decent place to set it all up...

 

edit: oh, and non-computer related - 2 CDs from Zac Brown Band on Amazon. I could only find 1 in a Dutch musicstore and with the low dollar it's cheaper to get it from the US, even with the shipping costs :-)
