Wow, those homemade arcade cabinets are incredibly impressive.
-
Ooo, me! I'm in Rochester!
-
If you don't care to have the Super NES and Genesis cart slots. the Retron 1 is a really nice downsized version that's a good bit less expensive.
-
Wow, that positive "just keep pushing till its done" (that's what she said) attitude has gotten you far in this project! Consider me inspired.

Has this been submitted to Al for possible cart release? It certainly deserving of it!

That's a good question... I'm not sure of the answer. It's definitely not that Stan is out of the retro video game scene - he writes on his excellent blog "The Electric Frankfurter". But I agree, these awards are pretty cool!
-
What would the name be, though? Maybe something to do with mountain climbing?
-
I'm curious - is there anything left that you want to do before committing this as the final product? Or are you satisfied with it as is?
-
In the cartoon show Regular Show, the video game system of the main character's looks suspiciously like a Sega Master System...

I'll probably just end up staying with my brother in Youngstown, that is, if he's still living there by then.

Have you been able to submit this one to Albert to see if it meets AA approval? (That is, if that's what the process entails; I have no idea)
-
Hello fellow AAers - just wanted to see if anybody was heading to this years CCAG this year the weekend of June 23rd. I'll certianly be there!
-
This is looking really slick. I'm liking it more and more with each version update!

I hear ya, Jan. I think we're just being a little greedy

-
Or you could do a 4k version as a personal challenge, and then go nuts with it after that!

Not to totally deviate from the main topic here, but how do you all feel about names being written on carts? I actually kinda like it as long as it's not a particularly rare cart. It's a bit of character, and it's nostalgic to remember what sorts of things kids did to differentiate their carts from their friends. I have a couple NES carts with "WESLEY" written on them in very neat handwriting along the edge of the label. I like to think it was a parent who wrote it for their kid who asked them to do it.

Man, I can't wait til I get home so I can try this! Could you possibly post some screenshots?
-
Yes, 32K, sound, ADAM compatible, perhaps a timer, if that can fit and I can have it figured out by the weekend. The only way to make sure this thing is coming out this year is to set deadlines for every single development stage. The SGM must go beta by March, no more excuses or delays.
Now that is a can-do attitude!
-
Hm... was a difficulty setting mentioned already?
Well, in any case, I think it's coming along quite nicely!
-
High score so far is 1717. I always end up getting greedy when I can't afford to be.
-
This game is shaping up quite nicely!
-
C'mon... SOMEONE's gotta have an extra one lying around....
-
Hey all - just picked up a Super Famicom without an AC adapter, and I need a Genesis model 1 adpater to get it up and running. Help a brotha out?

50 votes in and its split right down the middle! Surely this is a question for the ages.
Btw, I voted for Mario 3. It just keeps beckoning my return.

Any Retro Collectors in the upstate NY area?

What are your feelings about Game Craze? I've started to become friends with a couple of the guys who work at the one in Eastview Mall. Sometimes you'll get those teenagers who are pretty clueless about their stock, but there are other times when the people behind the counter are really cool guys.
