  1. A lot of kids my age either had an NES or a Genesis, but I couldn't have been happier with my good ol' Tandy 1000.
  2. That sounds like an interesting idea for an RPG...
  3. I get most of mine from 4JAYS, and a local used video game shop on good ol' Mt. Hope Avenue.
  4. Atari 2600: 70 Intellivision: 26 ColecoVision: 6 NES: 25(I think) Atari 800: 3

    Game God II

It's been a while since the first of this "series," I thout it would be cool to ask again. Which game do you consider yourself to be game god at? I'm not too great at some games, but I did get 64,780 on Ms. Pac-Man, and I got 33 thousand something on Astroblast.

  7. The only reason I like the NES is because it's nostalgic for me. The NES brought me into gaming. However, out of the 1000 games made for the NES, slightly less than 10% are really all that good.
  8. My brother refuses to play the Intellivision because of it's stiff, uncomfortable controllers. My Dad and I, however, have a blast with Sea Battle, and I can't get enough of Star Strike. It makes me feel like I'm piloting an X-Wing down the Death Star trench (even though the plot is different from the Death Star scene) Some of you may want to bang me upside the head with a frying pan to knock some sense into me, but I actually enjoy Intelly DK. The graphics remind me of the Tandy version my dad used to play when I was only four years old.

I get a lot of crap from my "friends" that Atari really stinks because of the poor graphics and sounds. But ya know, the only people that say that are the PS2/Xbox freaks (most GameCube owners appreciate good gameplay). A lot of the popular kids at my school can't get enough of Kaboom!
  10. The most I've spent on Atari in one month was $80. The most I've spent on games in general, is $149.99. That's when I bought the N64.
  11. Of course, that DD review is coming from a huge DD fan...
  12. Who says they have to play the games of today? They could play all sorts of games, ranging from Space Invaders to Tony Hawk. They could also have Karate Champ or SSBM tournaments.
  13. Starcade was not the only video game based game show. Back in the early ninties, there was a show on Nickelodeon called Nick Arcade, but instead of playing real arcade games, they played Genesis and NES games (that were placed in orange arcade cabnets.) The host's name was Phil Omar or something like that.
  14. I'm with you AtariInvader, I HATE fighting games. You're either extremely good at them, or you really suck at them. I also think that if you've played one fighting game, you've played them all.
  15. Yes, I have the overlays. What would it rate on the AtariAge rarity scale?
  16. Looks neat! Is he going to send it directly to Hozer when completed, or is he going to make a limited run for a convention, and then send it to Hozer.
  17. Combat was like my 50th cart. Is Vectron rare CIB?
  18. I am currently learning (struggling) to program the 8088 processor. Later on, I hope to program a VCS game. I was hoping that this assembly was similar to that of the 6502, or it would make learning 6502 a tad easier.
  19. Well, first thing when I walk into church this morning, my friend Evan gives me two games he found at a garage sale: Raiders of the Lost Ark (VCS) Defender (VCS) Both of which, I didn't already have. Then, my other friend Eric, gave me a box with nine, CIB Intellivision games: Vectron Star Strike Tron Maze-a-Tron Tron Deadly Discs Las Vegas Black Jack and poker MLB Baseball NFL Football Tennis Sea Battle That brings me to the 70 mark on the VCS cartridges, and 26 on the Intellivision mark (and still only six CV games )

  21. Hee hee... my dad went nuts when he saw his picture there, and my mom was excited that you called me a boy genuis (for all the good reasons, of course)
  22. Hee hee... this was my first post. I still think that this would be a cool idea. Just to see that it could be done. (and yeah, I know about the Spectravision)
  23. I love Vault Assult, but I don't think Hozer produces that title. I'm asking for Thrust for my birthday
  24. quote: Originally posted by Inky: Didn't defender 2 on the NES have the Punch-Out! music as well? Yes, indeed it did. Weird, huh?
  25. Defender II for the 2600 is more like the arcade version than the NES version is (the NES version didn't have hyperspace or inviso) Berzerk was also very well done for the 2600.
