  1. So many good memories of Secret of Mana. I bought it when I was on holiday with my family and spent the week looking at the box and instruction manual. Wish I still had it.
  2. xmas, 1992. I walk out of my bedroom, and my immediate family and a few relatives are standing in the lounge room. All the presents were on display, and I could tell what was mine. But next to my cousin was a Super Nintendo packaged with Street Fighter 2. We weren't the richest family, so I assumed it was my cousins and they brought it over to play. And then my mum said "Don't you want to play your new Nintendo?" My mind was BLOWN! Best christmas ever. Never been topped. I'd say worst christmas though was when I asked for an N64, but got a Playstation with no games. I got over it though.
  3. Finally had the chance to go through all 9 pages so far. Damn, the video with sound included blew me away! Once a pre-order list is available, my credit card will be leaving my wallet!
  4. One has come up on eBay in australia that includes the expansion module to play 2600 games. Seeing as my 2600 is dead, that would be handy. If I decide to bid, and win the auction, I'll announce it.
  5. One thing I do hate is when consoles that don't have a power indicator light.
  6. Interesting. But can it also run PAL carts? I'd probably buy it if it can run both PAL and NTSC. As much as I love consoles, handheld gaming is so much more convenient. I don't have the room to have all my consoles set up, so if I wanna play something I've gotta set the console up, which is a pain in the ass if one minute I'm in the mood for some Mega Drive, then I'm wanting some SNES, and then some SMS. Having handheld versions makes my life easy, as long as the quality is up to scratch.
  7. I still find myself playing PSO, even though I can't be bothered connecting my DC to the servers that are still up. You can spend hours and hours playing it and not feel like you're wasting time. Hell, why buy Skyrim with I've got PSO
  8. I own both and use them frequently because playing a handheld is so much easier than setting up a console with cables and what not. I do prefer the Game Gear, I play it a lot more, and has more titles that I really enjoy. Whereas the Lynx gets less play time, there's fewer titles that I enjoy. That said, there's fewer titles on the Lynx, full stop. It's very achievable to obtain a complete Lynx collection, even sealed in box. They both have terrible battery life, but have a good supply of rechargeable batteries, 12 dedicated to the Lynx, and 12 dedicated to the Game Gear. Sounds crazy, but as I said, I play them a lot and don't want to be tied down by an A/C adaptor.
  9. I'm a douche and hadn't clicked international. LOL... I didn't even notice you are in Australia, I'm the douche LOL... well, if you're looking at local-only, I can't help you there. I imagine they'd be harder to find there than in the US. I would prefer to buy a PAL system, there's one in Germany at the moment.
  10. I'm a douche and hadn't clicked international.
  11. Get the PSX version, and play it on a Dreamcast. Same game, just graphically enhanced.
  12. Too bad I don't use Windows 7 or IE9. Oh well.
  13. So I've had my eye out for a ColecoVision for a while now, but now I'm ready for a full commitment to buy one, my main reason is because there's a few homebrew games that I would like to try out and support. The reason I haven't just gone out and gotten one is because there don't seem to be any in my local area / state. Flea markets, online noticeboards, garage sales, nothing. So I decide to give in to eBay. But there aren't any on eBay at the moment. Not even any completed listings now that they've shorted the timeframe down on completed listings. My main question is what kind of money am I looking at as a fair price to get a console, and what are the main problems with the system that I should be aware of?
  14. I didn't end up ordering Rush Rush Rally. I pre-ordered Gun Lord for the Dreamcast instead. Looks rad.
  15. I just watched the trailer for it. Looks right up my alley. I might try to pick that up too, me and my housemates will have a hoot!
  16. Are ColecoVision games region locked for PAL to NTSC territories?
  17. Tough question. I can't narrow it down to one, so I'll go with Capcom vs SNK 2 tied with Grandia 2.
  18. Metal Jesus, had no idea that you were on these forums, been watching your show for a while now. Loved part 1 and part 2. Keep up the good work!
  19. I only have Switchblade 2. I'm looking at getting Joust, Hydra, Battlewheels, and Chip's Challenge. But I think I'm going to have to hold back on the Lynx collecting, I just splurged on the limited edition for Sturmwind on the Dreamcast.
  20. Pretty cool. Can't say I've ever seen an assembled one for sale. If you did a real good finish on it in some kind of casing, you could make it look pretty legit. Buy a heap, mass produce the casings with retro styling, flog them off on ebay as "genuine" 70's Pong dedicated machines. Don't really do that, it was a joke. I might give making one of these a whirl on a rainy day.
  21. It's 3.20am here, I can't sleep, I'm bored, and broke, but I just ordered the limited edition.
