Oh there's still people around who play roguelikes

You might want to check out Dwarf Fortress too, it's got quite a large scope and is under active development as well.
I tried to play Dwarf Fortress, even read the bazillion page manual for the damn thing. Still couldn't make heads or tails.
But ADOM is badass.

Scored some great deals today. Walking past EB games and I thought I'd stop in. They had a few DS games MEGA reduced.
Phantasy Star 0
Golden Sun: Dark Dawn
Dragon Quest IX
Chrono Trigger
All four for $100!
These are gonna take me a while, and I only just recently picked up Xenoblade.

One thing to remember as well is that the Atari 2600 games aren't really designed to be played for long periods of time. So if you have a lot of time on your hands, maybe a couple more games would help.

These games were surely designed to break N64 analogue sticks. But I still play the games, just means I gotta repair my controllers every now and again.

While not terrible, I certainly don't think they're great. A few games of Mario Party and they're stuffed.
-
Of that collection, I'd say Chopper Command for single player and Combat for one-on-one action.
Exactly what I was going to say

i would've been damn keen for this, if I owned a Vectrex

-
Hey guys, title and description say it all. Wanted to buy is a Vectrex within Australia.
I'd also be willing to trade on some items.
Let me know your (fair) price.
Thanks!

I always perform terrible if playing games with no sound.

I have a strange PAL cart of Super Mario Bros. NES that runs slower than normal.

115,260
Finally had an excuse to play this game after all these years.
New score, 138,850

I'm not sure what the computer was, but I work for an automotive group. Up until a few years ago you could see the exact same computers we'd use in advertisements for the company in magazines... printed in 1987.

Any good C64 sites in the US anyone can recommend that have knowledge of? Thanks.
Ha! Saved me time asking the question myself. Thanks for the links, guys.

Back when I was in university I had a day off, spent all day playing Banjo Kazooie on the N64.
Now normally, I'm a freak when it comes to saving my games, I just HAVE to constantly do it.
8 hours into my game, it froze, and I realised I'd never saved the game once.

Whilst Pac-Man is a terrible port, it is far from a terrible game. Pac-Man gets my vote.

I never had a Dreamcast on release, I never even had any interest. The console wars of the 90's still burned in my belly. But six years ago a coworker came to work one day with two bags in his arms.
"What you got there?" I asked, not interested, just being polite.
I hear him reply "I'm trying to sell this Dreamcast thing."
My ears twitched, and he instantly saw that I was all of a sudden interested in what he was saying. One Dreamcast, two controllers, one VMU and a bit over 200 "backups" of games.
That night was my first experience with Dreamcast, it's still one of my constant set up consoles.

Bargain! Video Pinball is the steal of this deal.

Honestly, I can't remember. It's hard finding information about these old handhelds.
What I do remember is that unlike terms like VFD, LCD, LED, the LSI is not referring to the graphical interface, but instead the logic of the programming.

Hey guys,
Thought I should introduce myself. I'm from Tassie. I used to collect all sorts, just gotten into 2600 collecting.

-Master System 2 (I got a few of these so if anyone wants one, PM me)
-Megadrive 1 & 2 (Ditto)
-MegaCD
-Dreamcast
-Atari XEGS
-Gameboy, Colour, Advance, SP

Are there any real kick ass games for this system that I MUST own?
You could start with the top 25 here:
An SIO2PC cable or flash based disk would probably be a good bet.
Cheers,
Simon
Thanks, don't know how I missed this.

Hey guys,
Several years ago I picked up an XE GS with a few games at my local flea market and basically let it collect dust in my collection. After rediscovering it the other day, I'd like to know a bit more about it. I can't really find a whole lot of information about this console on the internet. Are there any real kick ass games for this system that I MUST own? Does the system have any main problems that I'll need to fix down the track?
-
I just picked this up today, but I'm in a PAL territory so... awkward

Okay, now just convince several hundred thousand of your closest friends to buy the game too, and then maybe Reggie will rouse from his stupor long enough to bring the game here.
Honestly, I dunno whether I'd recommend this to one friend, let alone several thousand. I just can't make up my mind about this game.

Scored some DS bargains.

I should have probably mentioned that this was in Australian dollars, the games are normally $70 a piece.
