  1. I should note that I wouldn't wanna pay much for it.
  2. I'd buy one aslong as it had a head of inbuilt games, and was backwards compatible with 2600 carts.
  3. I was wondering about the safety of keeping my 30+ year old 2600 power supply plugged in all the time. It's one of the gray ones, not the very first gray ones, though. It doesn't get hot, but I'm a little more wary of it than I am of newer power supplies for other electronics. I don't know much about how these are made, but should I be unplugging the 2600 when I'm not using it? I always unplug my older consoles when I'm not using them. Anything that has a massive box on the power cable I just do not trust.
  4. Hey, my adoptor isn't getting hot anymore! But it's not getting any power to my system new power adaptor it is then!
  5. It's not an official Atari power adaptor by the looks of it. It's for an Australian socket. It reads, PRI: 230 - 240V 50Hz. SEC: 12VAC 10VA. I recon I'll try and track down another one.
  6. I'm waiting on FL Mobile Gundam, and Kingman. Both VFD games.
  7. Anyone else have a power adaptor that gets freakin' hot? Mine is plugged in for about 2 minutes and it starts to really heat up. Any way to fix, or don't bother and just replace?
  8. I've recently started with visual bB, and I'm reading ALOT of tutorials. Seems to be a good place to start.
  9. I just bought my first today of some old bloke. Hasn't been played in 20 years.
  10. can someone please tell me if atari xe power adaptor and joysticks are compatible with a 2600. Thanks.
  11. Something tells me that a roguelike isn't something to tackle when learning how to program.
  12. Or, now here's an idea... We could learn.
  13. I used to love playing Live and Let Die on the C64. It was pretty rad, but I haven't played it in like 18 years.
  14. Thanks. I was too lazy to take a photo of my own, so I stole that pic. But I do have one, and yes, it is cool as sh#t.
  15. Can I choose not to play Fantasy Zone at all? But in the spirit of voting, I'd play it on my SMS.
  16. I use a frontloader, got it back in 2000 from a flea market and it came with Shadow Warriors (Ninja Gaiden), and a cart of Super Mario Brothers which has different internals, and runs slow.
  17. I imagine that another problem would be randomly generated dungeons, and programming them so that they are of a design that can be completed. Statistics could also be scrapped to the essentials, Strength, Hit Points, Intelligence, and Agility is all that is needed. As much as I love it, command Kick could be scrapped, same as alot of Tool functions.
  18. I recently scored an Entex Arcade Defender but one of the buttons doesn't work so well. Anyone got any advise?
  19. I second the idea for using the keypad in port #2, and some serious fat needs to be trimmed. I don't think an "eat" command would be needed, mainly because I hate having to feed my character.
  20. To get past the one button thing, instead of using a keyboard and pressing a key to make a command, you could just press the button and bring up a whole list of commands.
  21. I can't get batari Basic to work on my mac. Sorry if this is really dumb, but I downloaded version 1.0 for Windows from bataribasic.com, then downloaded the Mac binaries and copied them into my main batari basic folder. Now what? Am I missing something? Someone please help.
  22. Hey guys. Picked these games up the other day, I'm assuming they're pirates, but I can't find them on the rarity guide. The first cart is labeled as High Way, and the 2nd cart is labeled as being Fishing. I don't have a 2600 yet, so I can't check what game is on them. Any ideas? And sorry about the poor quality of photo, I had to use my webcam.
  23. Yeah, I've noticed heaps of prices on Ebay which are stupidly high. I'm not in a rush so I can hold out for the right one at the right price.
