didn't have time to clean it, but did turn it on. System ran OK but the RESET switch is flaky, I had to hit hit 5-6 times before a game will start.

Somebody emptied their car in the back corner of the parking lot where I work. In the pile was a 4 switcher, multiple controllers, 3 cartridges(Atari combat & human cannonball and tele-games demons to diamonds) and the power adapter.
The Atari's really dusty, but otherwise looks fine. Any suggestions on what I should use to clean it up? I'm going to hit rat shack on my way home and am considering this. Would this work well for the paddles as well as the console?
Funny thing is I'd bought a 6-switcher 2 weeks ago so I'd have a real Atari to play on. I'll have to give the 4 switcher to my brother or sister, they were really interested when I told them I'd been playing Kaboom and was working on writing Rally-X for the Atari.

when I ported Stella to OS/2 I was trying a bunch of games and came across Beat 'Em and Eat 'Em. Because of the Atari's large pixels, I initially wondered why the guy on the top of the screen was holding the bazooka

It's not exactly nation wide (only in 18 cities) but they do have an online store.

I suspect the ones you mention are these Small Tint Stacking Drawer. Look pretty nice - I just started my collection, think I'll pick some up next time I go to the Galleria area.

It could do voice w/out hardware too - ever see SAM(Software Automatic Mouth)? check hereMy dad and I actually built a C-64 voice synthesizer from instructions in Ahoy! or Compute's Gazette (I can't remember which) and parts you could buy at Radio Shack. -
when I got involved with Stella (OS/2 port) I thought it'd be neat to code an Atari game but never got around to it until now.
Scanning thru the groups I haven't seen anybody working on a port of Rally-X - I think I'll try that unless somebody's already doing it.

I saw a Screenshot of Supercharger Frogger or something. That isnt Atari 2600 surely...
Does Stella Emulation another system besides Atari 2600 ?

Yep, it's the Atari - I've a screen capture of that Frogger version on my OS/2 port page as well. They'd figured out a lot of the tricks by the time the Supercharger games were written.
No, Brad had talked about adding 7800 support at one time but nothings come of it yet.

Found a 4-switcher, needs serious cleaning

thanx for the tips all, will be cleaning it up tonight!
How did radioshack become known as "rat shack" anyway?
Dunno - probably something to do with their TRS-80 computers being refered to as "Trash-80". So maybe trash -> garbage -> rats -> rat shack? The Commodore computers were referred to as "Commode Door", don't recall the others.
