The first screen looks scrambled to me.

Thanks! You're off to a great start Darth Al has some of the special 64K boards left and will probably make another run of Stella's Stocking in December. You'll probably want to get one right away, I don't know how many of those boards he has left. While they're both 9 pins, they're wired quite a bit differently. Stella does works with regular USB joysticks and gamepads. Using one of those may cut down on the frustration level 210,132 Author's Tips: 1) if you're already full size then jump over ice blocks else you'll waste them. 2) always collect all the ice to earn the bonus points, they add up quickly. 3) you'll sometimes need "running jumps" to reach difficult platforms. 4) difficult platforms are often easier to reach if you're slightly melted as your wider bottom will let you hang further off the edge of the platform you're jump off of.

200th Stupid Blog Entry!

The Atari folder turned out well -
Hurray! Household trash was picked up this morning. They don't have an ETA for the removal of the storm debris though, too much debris and insufficient fuel.

congrats! I was so tired I forgot to play last night.

Thanks! I drove down to my folks' house in Lake Jackson and it survived better than mine, only a chimney pipe fell over. Those photos have been added to my site. I've double checked the carpet and it's fine. When the window broke only a piece about 1 foot square came out, and it was at the very top of the window so the eves prevented most of the water from coming in, and what did come in was probably absorbed by the curtains and the towel I've got hanging over the curtain to make the room even darker. I finally got ahold of my roofer (had some roof work done by them a couple years ago) last night and am in queue. Thankfully there's no rain in the forecast as tarps are hard to come by at the moment. Since the missing sections are not that large I think I'll be able to do something with the roll of large trash bags I have in the garage, though I'm still pretty wore out and don't plan to attempt it for another day or two. Thankfully for those without power a cold front blew in. We have a low of 61, high of 79 today. A week ago it was 73/93. Today we got mail and my cell phone once again has a signal, so things are starting to return to normal.

Hopefully I can break 3000 tonight. Ike kinda ruined my gaming for most of Week 2 and I'm still overtired today.

If you care to look, I've got a few photos up on my site on the aftermath of Hurricane Ike. I may add more later today if I venture out in the neighborhood, though I'm still extremely tired and may end up taking a nap this afternoon. I "hunkered down" for the storm in the NW part of the city with a group of friends. We stayed up all night and watched the news. We lost power around 11, but one couple brought a generator with them and the satellite dish stayed intact. Power is still out in that part of town. I called my neighbor and came back home as we have power, water and phone service in my neighborhood. My iPhone works in town, but not here - however my work cell phone has a signal. There was a lot of damage in this area, though I was extremely lucky and my home survived with minimal damage. Some of my neighbors were not so lucky with large sections of the shingles gone and their ceilings inside collapsed due to the amount of water that came into their homes. Shingles are missing from sections of my house and water got into my study - weird thing is that even though my computer desk got wet there's no water showing on the ceiling - I suspect it made it's way in through the light fixture. I may have lost some peripherals but my MacBook and work laptop were with me so they're fine, though my desk is starting to swell up as it's made from particle board. Part of the fence was blown down. A window broke in my master bedroom but surprisingly little water got in, the carpet was wet in an area the size of a dinner plate. I put a fan on it last night and it's nice and dry today. <rant> I've been watching the news today and seeing people in Galveston complaining about lack of food/water/etc. I don't have any sympathy for them as they were under a mandatory evacuation and yet 23,000 people (40% of their population) didn't leave. Idiots. I've also been seeing things around (even here at Atari Age) about people upset with gas prices - well 20% of the nations gas is refined here and is offline and who knows when it'll be back online as that part of the area was hit hard. Doesn't matter if we can get oil if it can't be refined and due to NIMBY you're now paying more because you wouldn't let the refinery capacity be built elsewhere. And don't forget, a lot of refinery was also knocked out in Louisiana just 2 weeks ago due to Gustov, and some of that isn't even back online yet. </rant> Update: more photos online and now I'm pissed at Nagin - after all Houston did for New Orleans after Katrina, his response for Ike - "ask for the Nagin Special at our hotels", a special which did not even exist.

2359 Got a game in before evacuating for Ike. I'll upload the photo later, typing this on my iPhone.

That would have been awesome! I used to play Brad in the "in front of the movie screen" performance when I lived in Corpus Christ, TX.

@12:34 today your score was 79,850 @6:22 today you rolled it Now that's what I call improving a score quickly I've rolled it before in season 3. The first game was just a warmup for the 2nd game. I forgot about the leading zeros when rolling it.

You may not be giving it long enough to upload the photo, or if the photo's bigger than 2 MB it won't upload. Try making it smaller before you upload.

I used to get asked all the time about my S2000. Now it only happens when I travel. 57 mpg? That's so 20 years ago The CR-Z may be the heir apparent to the CR-X.

No you don't - distant family that you never talk to will expect you to drop everything and fix their Windows PC (Piece o' Crap) when you happen to be in town. Most recently, on the last night of my visit for the Spice Family Reunion, my cousin (who hadn't talked to me all week) says "My mom was supposed to tell you to come over to fix my PC". I gave her a look and thought to myself - no, you're supposed to ask and since you don't know that it's no wonder your kids act the way they do. -
8K cartridges are known as F8 bank switching as the hot spots are FFF8 and FFF9. You correctly changed the ORGs at the end of each bank to use xxF8, but the BANKS_AND_VECTORS macro is using RORG $FFFA instead of RORG $FFF8. I fixed that and it now crashes when RESET is hit - as before the ORG $E100 needs to be followed by RORG $F100. Once those changes are in place the screen shows: and hitting reset causes it to show: Revised source below, just change the .txt back to .asm 8k.txt
