I wanted one of those when they came out, but then I saw the asterisk:
"*Protected AAC files purchased from the iTunes Music Store are not supported."
I've gotten to the point where most of the music I buy is from IMS.

I've added a minor comment on the controller. Sadly paddles games are a rarity, homebrew or otherwise.
Nope, I don't plan to submit this under Ultra. It wouldn't be fair.

That's the Krokodile Cartridge. I've updated the blog entry to make it more clear that the list of names is the cartridges in order.
I'm about half way done on my first review. Takes a bit more time to get a review together than I was expecting. I've got an unpublished blog entry with the points I wish to make, but haven't pulled them together yet.

Just got it for my CD32 - neat game. Haven't gotten very far though.

I can relate. First time I've had that happen was back in high school, I'd picked up Pirate's Cove (Scott Adams text adventure) for my Vic 20 and lost a lot of sleep.
Lately it's been Lumines II on the PSP.

Photon - that brings back memories! Before I moved to Houston, I lived in Corpus Christi, about 200 miles south of Houston. My friends and took a number of trips to Houston to play Photon. The place we played at had 2 arenas, both of them were 2 stories tall. There were ramps scattered around the maze connecting the two levels, plus lots of openings so you could attack somebody on the other level.
I moved away from home to Houston in 87. Played a few times more, but no longer had the discretionary cash between rent and tuition. The economy also crapped out and Photon shut down. Later a new Photon facility opened in NW Houston. It was much smaller, with just 1 arena and only an elevated section instead of 2 levels. I did get a slick ID for the new place, they took front & back head shots so when you flipped your ID you saw the back of your head. I still have that ID somewhere, I'll scan it if I can find it.
There's a Lazer Zone facility in Sugar Land, about 20 miles SW of downtown. I've checked it out, and while fun, it's not the same.

looks fun. I got to see Star Wars: The Magic of the Myth when it came to the Houston Museum of Fine Arts at the beginning of 2001. I picked up some light saber pens that I still use

I've played the Wii over at friends. Enjoyed it, but I'm still planning on a PS3 for the next Ratchet & Clank game. Also looking forward to bluray movies. Only issues I have is my HDTV is an older model w/out HDMI, and it only supports 1080i, 480p & 480i. It won't display 720p, which a lot of PS3 games are written for(R&C included).
I exercise with my PS2 using Kinetic.

That's pretty impressive! Haven't messed with batari BASIC since Deathstar Break in. I don't think my nephew's done anything else with it

I haven't had a glare issue with my MacBook.
I was looking at getting a 24" iMac when Leopard is released; but, after seeing this I'm not so sure. You have to remove the screen to get to the hard drive
I've had hard drives fail in my Thinkpad, DVR & iMac G5 and think that's one thing that should be easily accessible for replacement. -
agreedI'd like to see an Mac AtariVox app, more than a GUI version of KrokCom. The current KrokCom works just fine (although a GUI version would be nice, someday).
I like this ideaOne nice feature to add, that PhraseALator (likely) doesn't do, is generate 2600-ready code. I would think this wouldn't be too hard to do.The key though, is in being able to access all of the sounds easily, and be able to quickly manipulate them (and their parameters) to make the voices sound somewhat-natural. That trial-and-error is what takes forever. -
Orgasmod - yep, adultHaha, you can immediatly tell it's an Amiga mod when you hear the "Okay" sample

Pretty good stuff!
Do you know Ray Norrish per chance? He did some tunes for Psygnosis back in the day, which also were mostly mods. Here's a few favourites. Sound all a bit like Sigue Sigue Sputnik
:)Like 'em, thanks. Hadn't heard of him, though I really liked Psygnosis games so I'm sure I've heard his stuff before.

I had started doing that a year ago, but wasn't that impressed with REALbasic. I did, however, use RB to create the fireball direction/speed tables for MM.
I'm getting back into hacking Cannonfire after some real-life. If you'd like, I could look into a GUI app for the AtariVox next instead of GUIfying KrokCom. Probably as a Cocoa app as I need to learn that for some stuff coming up next year.

And speaking of Gilligan, you can hear the original theme song here. It was originally "a 6 hour ride".

You'll want to put
(remove the space after both e's) around your source code else the leading spaces disappear and cause all sorts of problems in DASM. [code] processor 6502 include "vcs.h" include "macro.h" org $F000 Reset LDA #0 TAX RAMCLR STA 0,X INX BNE RAMCLR
Alternatively, include the source as an attachment.

One of my favorites! Love the sound effects as the Imperial Walkers get to the base.

That's what I did, wireless was extremely expensive when I did mine. It was able to wire my house before the drywall went up, a big plus. There's at least 1 port in every room, including the garage, with the exception of the bathrooms. I did it back in 98 - don't know if my wiring will support Gigabit.
