  1. I just got an iPod Nano for Christmas, but it won't work with my version of iTunes. I downloaded the new version, but I can't remember the damn password. This is exactly why I bought a Commodore 64...

And now I fixed it. Now I can listen to Amiga and C64 music again... Why am I talking to myself?

  2. It'll work, but it's no substitute for the real thing. I never liked when people attached modern peripherals like flash drives to their old computers. The whole point of retro computing is to experience computing the way it was in the past. I used an LCD TV for my Commodore 64C to test it, because I could only find an AV cord. My retro gaming tv doesn't have AV, so it'll have to do until I can find me an RF cable that'll look good.
  3. I JUST WON A C64! NOW I HAVE A C64!!!!!

I had a breadbox system, but the PSU fried, so I got a C64C in box with fastload and 4 games: Ballblazer, Koronis Rift, Rescue On Fractalus, and Mindroll.

  4. I go on this server under the name of GenesisDoes16.
  5. Yeah, the TandyVision is my favorite too. For some reason, my favorite 2600 is also the Sears Tele-Games... I just think they look cooler.
  6. Hey, it's TeamRocketReviews! How 'yall doin?

Hey man doing alright. First time I'm using this comment section, still learning how Atariage works. ^_^

  7. The hinge on my GBA SP just broke... I had a lot of great memories on that system... Is there any way to fix it?

Yeah, but I've got a lot of nostalgic memories from this machine, and I'd hate to throw it away.

If you know how, go for it. I'm the same way!

  8. I've been looking on Atarimania and eBay, and I've found quite a few games released in the US that were worthwile. At least 50.
  9. The crash only really affected North American video game consoles. Computers were affected by a totally different crash, caused by Commodore's race to the bottom business tactics. It started with TI, and soon Coleco Adam, PCjr, and the Mattel Aquarius withdrew from the market. By 1984, control of the computer market was in the hands of Commodore, Apple and Atari, with Tandy trying to stay afloat in the lower end, and IBM dominating the high end business class. But the years from 1983 to 1986 were the golden age of home computer games. When the NES came out, many people who didn't have the money for computers flocked to it. These kind of people probably didn't have any system other than an Atari or a Coleco, so the crash seemed more widespread, and the NES would have "saved all of gaming". But the NES only saved console games, and consoles are only one part of the picture.
  10. Does the ST have RF out? If so, maybe I could get it for a lower price.
  11. I just beat Contra on my NES last night!!!

You're not a hero until you loop it a dozen times and max out the score.

Any day an NES gets beat is a good day in my book.

Yeah I used the code... Tonight I'm gonna try to get as far as I can without it.

  12. In my copy of Chopper Command, the rate of fire is slower than it used to be. My copy of Missile Command has the same problem. Has anyone else had this?

Have you tried the left difficulty switch?

Could it be your controller? I noticed a huge change in the fire rate on my controllers when I got new PCBs.

  13. How do I get a casing? I want something about the size of a Wico, with a Suzo joystick, 2 buttons, all microswitched. Is there any casing that is handheld size? Some have had good luck with the larger project boxes like they sell at Radioshack. They are plastic, but easy to work with. I'm sorry, but what the hell is your avatar supposed to be? It's cool for some weird reason/

  15. Cool. How would you accomplish that? Could you teach me?
  16. Just wondering, it seems you're from the US. Where did you get that Tomahawk? Did you have to import it? How much do they usually cost?
  17. I may have a black one left. make me an offer Could you post a picture? I'd pay like $15. I'm going to be getting a Commodore 64C for my birthday (Nov 23), so could you perhaps hold onto it until then?
  18. I have one of those white Wico joysticks too. I really like it, but I prefer to have the clicky sound of microswitches. By the way, would anyone in the US have a Competition Pro joystick to sell?
  19. I'm looking for a C64C, preferably from a US seller. Anyone got one?
  20. My favorite? Wico is what I use right now for 2600, I'm going to try to get one of those Epyx 500XJ sticks when I order my replacement Commodore 64C, Quickshots look decent for flying games, but that Zipstick looks amazing! Looks like a Competition Pro (another good one, not too common in the US though), only better. Could anyone sell me one? I would even pay international shipping if the actual price of the joystick isn't too high.
  21. Worst joystick ever? The ones that were just called Joystick. The best? Epyx 500XJ, hands down. But there are tons of other greats from Suncom, Wico, Kempston, Suzo, and even some of the Quickshot flightsticks were decent for flying sims.
  22. You should be able to get a STf on ebay for well under $100. Same for the SC1224. More like $15-$2 here on ebay UK! Wow, that's awesome. For the price of an NES game I could get a whole kick ass 16-bit computer! Except for the huge problem of shipping...
  23. I think it might be the wiring that's the problem.
  24. That's great. How much would one be on eBay in good condition with no yellowing?
