If you're buying things, international shipping honestly isn't a big deal aside from being slightly more expensive than domestic shipping. I buy stuff from Japan like every few weeks and there's zero hassle to it.I saw the thread on Sega-16 and I really want to play it, but I don't want to mess with the international shipping factor.

I got mine today, I haven't played much yet but it looks absolutely stunning and it plays just as well. Honestly this is the best homebrew for the 7800 and the sheer amount of effort put into everything from the packaging, manual, and the game itself is evident. Well done!

There's no such thing as the "Mark II" BTW, I think you mean the SG-1000.
-
All Light Sixers are like that. There were some minor board differences made over the years, but it wasn't until the 4-switch console that the innards were completely redesigned. Now, correct me if Im wrong, but thats the innards of a Heavy Sixer is it not?
-
It's the latter as the 7800 has no way of putting out anything better than S-video.(and I dont even know if that is native RGB or rather a chip that splits up the composite signal.)
-
Also worth mentioning that the CX78 pads have really thin cords that break if you look at them wrong. Mine was NOS and the cable failed after only a few years, so I salvaged a nice quality one out of a Famiclone controller and used it as a replacement.

That seems to be a big problem with new MSX stuff in general I've noticed. In a nutshell complete lack of information for anybody new to MSX in the so called manual
-
So you posted a huge wall of text vomit about the ColUSB paired with a USB-C cable and charger you can easily get on Amazon. Got it.

Uhh I'm a pretty big Jr. fan but the build quality downright sucks compared to the earlier consoles. The plastic is super brittle, the guide posts on the cartridge port are easy to break, and the flex circuit for the Select and Reset buttons is known to disintegrate. If a switch fails on a Heavy Sixer it's usually just a matter of cleaning it, but fixing the flex circuit on the Jr. is an ordeal. The ATARI 2600 Juniors have the advantage of being ATARI's latest 2600 console from the 80's. The original ATARI 2600 1977 model is older and even if it was proven that it might have better built quality, it still is 5+ years older when compared to the ATARI 2600 Junior and has a potential to break down.

FM Towns Marty
Seriously doubt the FM Towns hardware is within the Phoenix's capabilities, you'd have to cram a 386 along with the custom graphics hardware and a YM2612 and a Ricoh PCM chip in addition to the support hardware in that FPGA.

I'm definitely planning on getting the rerelease, I had the NES version when I was little and I stupidly gave it away to my brother years ago. No way I'm getting the original release and even the Famicom version is up there in price these days.
-
Added more games!

Lookin' mighty purdy there, I'm gonna see about preordering one next month if possible.

I have a working 2-port 5200 console, send me a PM if you're interested!

Updated with a couple of non-gaming items.

I'm currently 29 and started posting here when I was 13, needless to say I've come a long way from being an annoying teen who used emoticons way too much.

FWIW the 5200 version of Dig Dug is actually also on the 8-bit, I think Atari realized how lackluster the original port was and then put out the 5200 version months later. It's pretty confusing since they share the same part number and both were released with the original brown label.Everyone knows that the 5200 version of Centipede blows away the 8-bit version, same with Dig Dug and Qix!

I dunno, it seems like RGB was at least a little more widespread in Japan than it was here in the US considering that Nintendo, Sega and Sony put out official RGB cables for their systems, whereas there was nothing like that here in the US.Man, was I saddened when I found out RGB wasn't a thing over here.

Wait...did I read that right? A model 2 Genesis modded by TmEE that has a crystal clear audio mod...but then...has audio issues?
You read that right unfortunately.

Something I've been rather curious about lately is what company or programmer worked on Xenophobe for the 2600. Most places say that it was Atari, but I doubt that's the case since Atari Corp. tended to outsource game programming to various companies. My guess is Imagineering (same company that ported Commando, Ikari Warriors and Double Dragon) but that's just a gut feeling.

I have two NTSC Juniors and neither of them will work with a "Kool Aid Man" cartridge. This is a known common issue although, according to a few responses in that other thread, apparently not ALL Juniors have this same incompatiblity problem.
Some 7800s have the same issue, IIRC it's the TIA revision that Atari used for a time.

Also stick a heat sink on the SID, they get pretty hot too and can die from overheating.
