    The seller is completely wrong about it being only sold in Japan BTW. It was sold here in the US and also in Taiwan under its original name, the Chuang Zao Zhe 50.

    I have the LHE mod in my later model 7800 and... it kinda sucks frankly. The fact that you need to wire up a switch to disable the TIA's chroma output to get clean 7800 video is bad enough, but in my experience the 2600 output was lackluster and full of bizarre interference. Personally I'm waiting for Tim Worthington's 7800RGB to show up at this point (he is actively working on it again BTW!). My 2600, 5200 and 800XL all now have RGB mods so the 7800 is the odd one out.

      @pacman000 : I don't think he cares as he's moving away from the hobby and that was one of the reasons for selling the site off in the first place. His collection was sold off to the same person that bought the site IIRC.

      Their reason for changing is that the old server NA rested on was being decommissioned. I still find it strange they went the route they did, however. NA forum threads are still there, but seller feedback, scoreboard high scores and the games database are completely missing. What a waste.

    FWIW I ditched disk drives on my A8 setup over 11 years ago and I haven't looked back since. And as others have pointed out, using a disk drive with the 400 isn't worth it unless you upgrade it to 48K, since so many games and programs on disk take advantage of the extra RAM. If you really want to have a good A8 experience, get an 800XL or any one of the XEs.

    That only applies to the 400, 800 and 1200XL. The rest of the XL lineup and the XEs all have it built-in.

    That’s a Canadian release, from what I understand there were a few European titles that made it to Canada but not the US, Danan being one of them.

    Sold him a 5200 top case and a few Famicom games recently. Payment was quick and communication was excellent all the way! Would absolutely deal with him again.

    Tim was working on one, but the last time I checked in with him about that was two years ago and I'm not sure if he took it up again or if it's still on the backburner. I'd think it would be more complex than the 2600RGB since you'd have both the MARIA and TIA to contend with.

    PayPal and pretty much every payment processing service will automatically convert the currency for you so that’s a total non-factor. Also, Yurkie here is the American distributor for the 2600RGB so you don’t have to pay extra for international shipping.

      I was wondering that too, myself. 😕. The only major one I can find online was sold out as of Jan 2019 but apparently was gonna have another run in the summer... except that period has more or less passed since we're almost into fall. Gonna be watching that thou.
