  1. I just happen to have a C64-to-PC cable I found among my dad's old C64 stuff. One end connects to the user port on the back of the C64, and the other end connects to the parallel port on the PC. I also found some C64 games on 3.5 inch floppies.
  2. But just wait 'til the newbies come...
  3. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=3029922350 Yes! I finally got a 600XL! I guess I'll be editing my sig now.
  4. Hey, why don't ya c'mon over to San Jose! They have tons of Atari stuff where I live.
  5. The game that disappointed me most was Swordquest Earthworld. I was expecting it to be alot like Adventure, but it wasn't. Instead, it was a weird little puzzle game I couldn't figure out. No wonder I got it as a freebie at the flea market!
  6. Ah, my mistake... I usually assume that most consoles have some lockout... especially since Sega put lockouts on all their other systems. Actually, there are 2 variants of the Genesis (Model 1). One of them, which was made before Sonic (1989 & 1990) has no lockout system. The one made after Sonic (which I own) has a lockout system.
  7. I want an SP. Sure, I already have a GBA, but I'd still like it. Oh BTW, the GBA SP isn't back-lit, it's front-lit.
  8. Let's just hope they emulate the INTV right, because the Atari 10-in-1 stick didn't emulate the 2600 very good (only 1 channel of sound, slowdown, etc.).
  9. Look at the bid history on this boxed Vader! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...2&category=3537
  10. Well, I voted for the 2600. Even though I grew up with an NES, a Commodore 64, a Commodore VIC-20, and a Game Gear, I still think it is the most influential video game console ever. Here my reasons.. 1. It was the first successful cartridge-based video game system. 2. It had many successful games (Pitfall, Pac-Man, Space Invaders, etc.). 3. It managed to survive commercially for about 14 years.
  11. Ah, you have the Expansion Module 1. It's not really special because most Colecovisions I've seen on eBay have this. But I would PM you if I had a Coleco!
  12. Go ask jsoper. He grafted a 7800 onto a 5200.
  13. Great finds, especially on that Pigs in Space cart! Oh, take a look at the Actiplaque on that Space Shuttle next to Brain Games.
  14. But seriously, I think the BIN was supposed to be $18.95, not $1,895.
  15. Hey, MrRetroGamer, this looks like the auction for you!
  16. Wow, that's a sucky joystick/trak-ball! Oh, BTW RIVER, see that key that says "Caps Lock"? I suggest you use it.
  17. Don't go literaial on us. Later Ah, c'mon, gamemaster, it's OK to joke around once in a while! C'mon! Join us!
  18. Why the heck are you guys talking about the Amiga? The thread's supposed to be about comparing the Atari 8-bits against the C64!
  19. The 400 and the 800 have 4 joystick ports. The XL and XE computers only have 2.
  20. This doesn't really belong here. Post this again in the Atari 2600 forum.
  21. Which computer would you choose? The 400 or the 600XL? I'd pick the 600XL because it's smaller and it doesn't have that horrible membrane keyboard.
  22. Well, I have a party on the 21st, so I can expect that my 2600 will be the hit of the party (especially with Indy 500 and Warlords  ).
