  1. Intellivision manuals in txt format source: http://www.intellivisionlives.com Doh! I missed that. It's in the manual I sifted through... thanks though! Nice website too.
  2. Hey just a few quick notices for Zero. Haven't been awared my (2) patch points in the Enduro game. You also missed "Impailed" he also gets (2) for the patch. Anything beyond day 4 is a patch. You can see the car Icon in the game turn to a trophy Also, in Gangster Alley I am 2nd to roll the score, after "oyamafamily".
  3. Which games btw? I know there's some online manuals plus I'm sure with everyone here we probably have every manual for every game. Welll for example Astrosmash... played it for about 45 mins or something and, feel on the default setting it was too easy. Whereas Poker Blackjack, I cannot figure out how to select just 1 player game.
  4. No sir. I don't think the game lot has one either. B 17 Bomber I think you can play without the voice, yeah?? I don't think Solar Sailor doesn't play right without a voice am I right? Still cool to have , when I can get my hands on a voice...
  5. Yeah! those all look cool. (from what pics i seen) i'll be getting night stalker in the mail, hopefully by the end of the week. If you're looking for some ideas as to what to buy next, see this thread. http://www.atariage....livision-games/ Enjoy your new system, my personal favourite among the classic systems. Thanks, cmart. I seen that thread too. It's a nice read, I done my research of Intel, online and know what Intellivision games I would like to get first... they include all 3 of those titles you mention. I found a pretty good lot, and checked the status... my package of games, is only a few hours away, and will arrive Monday (most likely)! Here's the lot...(complete in box) too. Sea Battle Space Battle Star Strike Tron Solar Sailer Tron Deadly Discs B-17 Bomber Night Stalker Space Armada Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Mission-X Microsurgeon Auto Racing Motocross Major League Baseball Horse Racing Tennis Frog Bog I think that is all the list. Will be my first time playing all of those games Total cost for system games + shipping is a bit over $85 bucks. I'm getting that rare Solar Sailer game complete (all complete here)... so I think I made a good score with this lot. I also made $51 dollars on ebay, selling a few NES games and 1 Atari system. So, I'm not hurtin' much in the finacial department. I will have a few duplicates like with Horse Racing and Space Battle, Star Strike... so if anyone would like a game trade of these three let me know, there's plenty of games I don't have yet, Still hunting for Maze-A-Tron and Vectron for example.
  6. Being new to the Intellivision... I dunno how to select a different game level or setting of difficulty... so my question is simple, how do I switch between easy and hard modes? Must be on the keypad? I haven't found anything in the game manuals... any help is appreciated, thanks.
  7. 1st try ... Won it, whooo! I dunno if that's my best score ever but it's a snazzy start It's also my first score for the NES HSC. This is as close as I'm gonna get to feeling like Jimmy in the movie "The Wizard" 104,110 1 major tip, in the last level. You need to make your Marble jump over the platform... to another platform, just to be able to finish it. I forget how many levels the game has, about ... uh... 5 so that would be the 5th level after the *everything you know is wrong** one.
  8. Tips to win, Don't shoot any PINK people! They are the good guys, (a woman and child)... there's only two and they have Pink colored heads, so knowing that it makes it easier to avoid them all together. There "IS" a pinkish red gangster Scar Face, he you do shoot. He appears more red then the woman/child. Shoot him, but don't shoot the good people or it will cause you 1,000 points each! Try not to waste bullets "aim carefully", try to shoot each gangster only (once) if you run out of bullets...there's no way to get more, you will either be bombed by Nitro Ed (ending you're whole game) or shot down by one of the gang members, thus losing a life, possibly two in a row. Not good. So, try your best to shoot ONLY ONE bullet per gangster. Watch Nitro Ed. If he loses his smile and has a bomb in his hand, shoot him down "ASAP", he sometimes doesn't wait to use his bombs on you... so he must be stopped right away. Once he bombs you your game ends regardless how many lives you have left. Only shoot him when he's holding a bomb... you can score points by shooting him, but it's better to save your bullets for the gangsters (like written above) Each 5,000 points is a bonus bullet proof vest, no need to worry about losing a life or two, as you get a free life, eventually. Just be sure you keep Nitro Ed away from his bombs!!!
  9. 2nd attempt, this game is quite easy... 49,180 3rd attempt... rolled the ...? solved it! 99,990 This was too easy and it's B difficulty is the hardest setting. Nitro Ed is certainly no Mad Bomber... he laughed at my perfect score, dunno why because I smoked him and his gang. What a wussy.
  10. I thought we were playing Mogul Maniac for the 2600? Yes, you're correct. It's the 2600 version not 7800.
  11. http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/157976-winter-olympics-sign-up-time/page__st__25__gopid__1943925 That ABOVE is the link that Galaxian has begun, with the game play info. Teams are not "fully" formed yet... what are you waiting for people?! Competition has begun, and there is still spots for Poland, Sweden, Canada, UK, Germany. Perhaps teams should be 2 or 3 people a country?? We could figure it, if we can get more involved. Some other countries with no team formations, NORWAY FRANCE RUSSIA JAPAN just to name a few... GAMES BEING PLAYED ARE, Winter Games - 2600 Ice Hockey - 2600 Skiing - 2600 and Mogul Maniac - 7800 Emulators are accepted. All play on default... which means just turn the game on and play, (no changes to difficulty or game select) You can play each game over and over... and submit the "best" score you can do, just like the HSC clubs. So pick a team and get your Olympic spirit going.

  13. Yeah! those all look cool. (from what pics i seen) i'll be getting night stalker in the mail, hopefully by the end of the week.

  15. Would you believe i never really liked Star Strike. I thought the Earth blowing up was cool but i hated the game itself. It almost never got played. I am buying a lot of the old systems i never owned before now, 2600, 7800, Colecovision. I have spent "way" too much money in the past month and i will regret being broke soon lol. But i'm having a lot of fun though. Fun is goood... you got lots of good stuff recently How come you got so much suddenly, or having you been buying the past 10 years too just for other kinds of games? Star Strike, hmmm... not so good? At least the graphics are neat on it. For me personally, I think Intellivision interested me a lot more then Colecovision, I'll explain, Coleco probably has the better arcade ports, but the games aren't as strategic or involved... also I think the Intell games often are more original concepts. I don't reallly need another slew of DK games or Joust etc. which is plenty of the Colecovision library. I also hear that Colecovision breaks easy, and hard to find one in perfect condition. So, that's why I choose Intellivision... plus, I like the Tron's for 2600 and wanna try them on the intel's system. Not to mention games like D&D, Beauty-Beast, Swords-Serpents, Thunder Castle... etc. Can't wait for my 20 games to arrive... How's Horse Racing, I got that one coming and really wanna try it. PS, Here's a pic of my Bowling '195' score...
  16. Winter Games Atari 2600... My first attempt (all in one try) 1. Slalom 0:50.02 2. Luge 0:29.8 3. Biatholon 1.24.1 4. Hot Dog Ariels 6.0 5. Speed Skating 32.2 6. Ski Jump 170.8 7. Bobsled 0:30.8 Got pics of all if needed... can I try again to improve some scores, on each event (individually)? Or how's this work here... SKOL SCHWEDEN!!
  17. Cool, My mother is of Swedish background, so I'm going to join you Pjk's. I make a very good Pytt i panna dish. LOL. (wonders if I spelled it correct) I don't own Mogule Maniac either, if it's needed to play, maybe someone here can help me with an emulator for 7800, anyone? Yes! Go team Sweden! I was only kidding about the mogul maniac PAL cart, becouse its a NTSC only. I guess it´s emulation-time. Tell your mother i said hej. PS. I´m makin myself som Pytt i panna right now (for real). Ha! Nice... makes for a good dinner, one of my favs. Mother taught me how to make it. Here's a pic of mine... I found the pic looking for my game collection pics on a Data CD.
  18. Cool.. impressive CIB totals for A8,A-5200 and Intellivision games. The Colecovision 20 total is not bad either those games aren't cheap or easy to find complete. The only systems I collect boxes for are Intell (recent) Odyssey 2 and Atari 7800. For me it's Intellivision and Odyssey2 which is the coolest to have CIB'ed games for.
  19. I found it in eBay search, is this a Frankenstein job... or was Intel's released like this at some point? How does one get the overlay in the keypad slot?? Good luck...
  20. Oh good it worked.. thought it would... sorry I was unaware the post was over a week old lol. Anyhow, there's plenty of feedback of Intel. I controllers being better then the II system... In your opinion, do you agree?? I like the look of the first system more, even if it's older looking. Mines gold and woodgrain, but there's also a Silver one too right?
  21. That's fine. I'm figuring it out as I go along. The spares seem to be picked off best with the use of *straight ball* Strikes seem only possible with using a hook or curve, by standing generally in the middle of the lane... before starting. I also been playing right handed, as I am righty'. So... I think the game is becoming more fun with a lot of practice. PS... Had a look at your "About me" page. Interesting read! For me growing up (born 1980) turning 30 this year, well I had Odyssey 2 / Commodore 64 w (disks) then added NES in 1990. Never even seen an Intellivision. But knew a lot about Colecovision and played owned Atari 2600 and briefly and bought one in 1991, thank gosh for newspapers with having a game listing ! It was a vader system for $15 with about 8-10 games. You're my brothers age or (born also in 1973). I remember seeing him play Quest for Rings with his friends when I was 4 years old. But I bet you were in awe of those graphics in Star Strike, that you got one X-mas.... also hit the jackpot with He-Man and Shark!... great games for the time. Intellivision really was superior to Atari untill '81 or 82, then all the great games flooded in for Atari 2600. Such as Pitfall and Ms. Pac-man. I cannot wait to try the 20 Intellivsion games lot I got on eBay... Will keep you all posted on what I think , and pictures.
  22. Not bad, I bet it still works. Ironic enough... the only two systems I bought working condition broke for no reason a few months later. I bought many "as is" Atari consoles cheap and they all worked but 1... and it was in a lot of 3, so not so bad. I usually go by how nice it looks in the picture, even so that's a risk. I bought once an Atari 2600 woody at a garage sale with 15 boxed games, and she said it worked... but when I tried it at home, the thing was beyond dead. I didn't worry about it because I made the money back selling the boxed games, and even a bit of profit.
  23. Well, I just bought my first ever Intellivision with 6 boxed games (7 total) for $37.00 with shipping cost included (w/all hookups needed). I avoided this console because of the negative flack about the controllers, but I saw some screenshots online, and liked how the games looked... so I went for it, a few months after that. So far so good, I like it and the controllers are better then I expected the keypad is very easy to use. I have 5 sports games, 1 action and 1 strategy. All the boxed games have manuals and overlays except baseball is cart only and PGA Golf is missing one overlay and the manual. Here's the 7 games it came with ,many sports titles... 1. PBA Bowling 2. PGA Golf 3. US Ski Team Skiing 4. Astrosmash 5. Las Vegas Poker & Blackjack 6. NFL Football 7. Major League Baseball (game only) , further more on this subject, I had a very interesting feeling playing this system for the first time, as well in taking it out of the shipping box... I' hadn't gotten a new system since about 2006? This is also the first system I bought since, NES that I had never owned previously before buying, and to make it more special I never ever PLAYED an Intellivision before owning it now! It's probably the only "common" old console I never tried out, or at least seen my brother play (Colecovision). So, it's original authentic Intellivision experience here for me.. awesome! I have about 18 games coming in the mail (in about 5-7 days from now) all boxed complete. Can't wait, since the sports games are quite good on their own so far. Going back to that feeling, it's like being in childhood or warping into early 1980's... A time where I was not quite old enough to experience some of this first time around, I kept looking at this Intellivision (still am a week/half later), and seeing how it all worked, reading instructions etc. I felt I just got a really cool toy. I did...!
  24. In Intellivision Bowling, I use slickness 2, ball weight 14 pounds. I seem to have the best scores doing these settings... but I'm new to the game and not sure if I know the best way to go. Any tips or ball spin ideas? Is it possible to score a perfect game? Or even near that? My top score so far is I think "195". With about 4 strikes. I think this game is pretty fun, I like the controls a lot, only thing would make it better is a faster rolling ball... and pins to make a louder crashing noise when hit. Sorta feels like you are knocking over plastic bottles... lol. It's 1980 though, so fair enough. Could have been much worse.
