  1. i am kinda undecided...

i think that defender II aka Stargate is much better on the technical stand point.

but! i tend to play the original defender more!! sooo hmmm ;) i like both maybe it's a tie here??

i never got why people didn't like the first atari 2600 defender to such a degree... all the elements are there,

and its fun to play.. isn't it? yeah the blinking ship makes no sense, but doesn't effect matters.

i'm not gonna hate playing a game just cause the ship blinks...if i had to recommend one though,

i'd say go with Defender II.

    PS,

i could hate chopper command for not being as fun as either defenders. :P

but i won't put it down too much now, even if the helicopter is an ugly barf yellow... and

camoflanges with the ugly background mountains/sky. just to name a thing or two

    heh heh...

  2. Good that u got it working... I never had a problem with Fox games. **knock on woodgrain**

but do you LIKE Turmoil? Of my Fox games I got which is almost all of them,

I like Turmoil maybe the very least.

I should play it again, to make sure. I just found the game to be... really flat or just somehow void.

  3. Ahhh. I am very good at this game, I bought it when it was somewhat new ,

and forced myself to find a way to get good at it. I hit and run... don't stand still or they will be all over you. I think I won this game, or got to final 2 bosses.

I'm always good at games people find to be hell, dunno why. All on my own.. no help, internet or tips.

D.D. has great ending music. I also like the women enemies in this game, hair of fire. LOL.

  4. A few tips,

1.Both the tomato and the hamburger bun can be grabbed/taken perfectly everytime by running either all the way to the top first, or down all the way to the bottom. Doesn't look pretty, but you won't have to break these two food items again with this method.

2.To avoid smashing your food items, make sure your head/face clears each food item. If you are head level with the flying food, it will smash you in the face. Also be sure to stand far enough to the left to have room to grab each food item properly.

3.Sometimes if you make an error with matching your food items together you can still complete the order without wasting the hamburger...as long as you added items that are "vital" to the order.

For example if the order required 1 lettuce and 1 tomato, but you added 3 tomatoes and 2 lettuce it's just fine as long as it follows what the checks requested from you.

4.If you are unsure of what food item you need to add to your hamburger, you can look left to the conveyer belt and check the colors already on your hamburger to maybe help you decide what you need next.

5.In later rounds the hamburger bun comes at you sometimes when you don't need it although, if it comes to you 2 times in a row that means there's an order all ready to be completed, and you just have missed seeing it on the check system below. Sometimes there's no time to stare at the checks and figure it, just trust that if the bun keeps coming at you, that means it's time to use it!

Those are my tips, the last tip I'm not 100% on, so would be good if someone here can confirm it for me. Thanks...

  5. Does anyone have an O2 with a ''voice''?

I have a nice 4 switch 2600 for trade or,

an old Atari Jr. for just the ''voice'' alone.

I never used an OD voice, and I wonder what thats like, if its

    any good, fun etc...

    Plz reply soon!

Cancel this request, I will try an eBay one.

    Thanks.

  7. what are some of your favorite 2600 titles that aren't quite that popular?

    mine are:

Armor Ambush (i always liked it more than Combat)

Firefighter (i love watching that convulsing person in the window)

Night Driver (i used to run through the easy/medium levels flawlessly).

Riddle Of The Sphinx (the first game that i figured out everything on my own and even made my own walkthrough manual with crayons & colored pencils at a very young age)

Space Attack (because it's fun as hell, those SFX rock, and you can actually win)

i'm sure there's more but those stand out in my mind right now

Space Attack, Demons to Diamonds... Fantastic Voyage, and Adven-of-Tron,

I really like all these too.

Some of my fav. unpopular/oddball games,

    (in no specific order)

E.T. - Love the random challenge, no problems with the Holes/Wells.

Lock N' Chase - Mattel's 2600 one player titles have a soft spot with me.

Porky's - I love blowing up the Bar, and running from the big Ballbricker.

Zaxxon - This was and is fun to me (better then expected).

Ghostbusters - I respect the work that went into it, kinda fun game.

Swordquest Earthworld - Never finished it, but like it anyway.

Dark Cavern - This game used to be one of my top favs. Still pretty good now.

Spikes Peak - Chaos can be great.
