I don't know for sure, not having owned a 2600-capable system until much later but I would say for certain that the later reissues (blue label cart) would not have had any offers, patches, etc.

Finally! A sequel to Kool-Aid Man! (Just kidding)
Thanks, Oscar!

All of the Mattel games (Atari and Intellivsion) were rebranded minimally to update the copyright to Intellivsion, Inc. after the rights were bought out from Mattel. Most licensed games (such as MLB Baseball) were renamed to drop the licensed name.
In this case, they probably just used the 'Football' stickers they applied to the NFL Football Intellivsion carts since they a) updated the copyright and b) saved them money required to print new Super Challenge Football labels with the updated copyright.

I don't quite understand why collectors didn't buy them, considering that they are from real original prototypes.
I'm a collector to a point. I won't pay outrageous money for games and for boxes, I mostly only buy repro boxes for games where I have the original cart and manual but no box (I never kept them as a kid).

They just had it running with the Basic. I was able to try the eject mechanism, pausing of an in-progress game while swtiching to and from the computer side of things and couple other things. It wasn't running any of the tapes (and I'm not sure if any were in-house).

Got some hands-on time with Frank's Keyboard Component (and was almost drafted by his cohardt for the dumping/emulation efforts) .

The POKEY in the Atari machines was a multipurpose chip as well (not just sound)

I will have my Intellivision "computer" on display. I am bringing a Intellivision 2 with ECS keyboard and system changer.
I will be sharing space with the Glenside color computer club.
Feel free to stop by
Are you bringing the music keyboard too?

The bottom one looks like a modern take on Armor Attack from Cinematronics

Are there any plans for you to visit the Midwest Gaming Classic in the future?

It might be more helpful to create some walk through videos of the process and posting them on a YouTube or Udemy.

I understand there are some games that have some minor compatibility issues or don't quite display as expected. I may be completely mis-remembering what I have read, but I think Imagic's COSMIC ARK is one of those. The infamous twinkling starfield effect is due to a bug in the TIA that wasn't replicated properly in some of the clone TIAs out there. So if you have that cart (it's pretty common) you should try it on you EM1 and see if I'm completely out to lunch on this.
I should try this with the Inty System Changer

This game needs paddle support.

If you're doing runs in. the plain 7800 shells, that would be fine too.

Doing so certainly would have been alot cheaper than licensing properties like Hanna-Barbara, Kool-Aid Man, etc.
-
Aside from He-Man, why didn't Mattel mine thier own IPs as sources for Intellivision games? Some obvious properties would have been Hot Wheels and Barbie.

I have a Competition Pro and it's a good stick for some games but I find it has the following issues as well:
- It has a very short throw for such a tall joystick
- I find it awkward if I need to use both buttons as they're on opposite sides
- Since it requires a stock 5200 stick be connected as well, you need to make sure the 5200 stick is centered before using the Comp Pro. If the stick is leaning in any direction, the character will movie in that direction, even if the Comp Pro isn't being moved. Since it doesn't have any sort of calibration built-in, you may need to fiddle with the centering the 5200 stick a bit before the Comp Pro centering is 'just right'.
- I find it hard to hit the diagonals with this stick. It's almost impossible to use with games like Popeye or Gyruss.

Haha, alright - now that I've read more about this ridiculous computer I'm definitely interested, especially in the 512x192 graphics mode. But it looks like they're a little pricey... so how about an Apple //gs version instead?
It'll be a specially designed port with exclusive content, characters, and story.
Infact, there'll be so many exclusive features that you might not even recognize the game.
It was basically the US version of the Sinclair Spectrum but with added features that made it practically incompatible with the original.
Apple IIgs works for me too

...yes, yes - this was a dumb April Fools gag. But did you know RushJet1 did a ZX Spectrum mix of Rikki & Vikki's soundtrack?
1) Open "./Data/FoxBox.cdf" in your favorite text editor.
2) Change "RV_Samples.smp" to "ZX_Samples.smp".
3) Change "RV_Macros.ins" to "ZX_Macros.ins".
4) Relaunch and... enjoy?
That's all fine and good but this guy's still hungry!

...and Professor Pac-Man!

@dauber will be first in line for that!

Worst labels for cartridges??
in Atari 2600

In all fairness I doubt Parker was researching adhesive that would last 30+ years while coming up with their cartridge designs.
