Tutorvision games - Interest check
bikeguychicago replied to Alex.Pace's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
On a side note, what is that little TV screen you have? That would be perfect for my workbench! -
tep's Pac-Man Arcade is closer to the arcade aspect ratio and the number of dots. However, even he mentioned that arcade patterns won't work with that version.

Atari Jaguar to 5200 Controller Adapter Project
bikeguychicago replied to atariguy1021's topic in Atari 5200
Would the rotary controller-modded Jag controller work with this adapter (for Tempest)? -
The 4-port model uses and needs the special switchbox. The 2-port model uses a standard RF cable and the adapter plugs into the machine vs. the switchbox. I think the 2-port model was introduced in order to cut costs and add 2600 backward compatibility (through the adapter). There was also a '5100/5200 jr' model that was prototyped and was meant to cut production costs even further but it was never put into production.

4-port BIOS replacement guide for 2-port machine?
bikeguychicago replied to bikeguychicago's topic in Atari 5200
I was finally able to get the sheilding off and the BIOS replaced. I tested Pitfall with top shielding off and it worked. However, after I reinstalled the top shielding, I tried it again and now I am getting no power to the unit. No red light, no picture. Is there anything I can check here or did I fry my system? -
5200 Joystick Solution(s) -- What would you do?
bikeguychicago replied to Omega-TI's topic in Atari 5200
Maybe _you_ can I looked at the bill of materials and schematic and realized it isn't for me. -
Is there a guide somewhere that explains how to replace the 2-port BIOS with the 4-port one in a 2-port console? I bought one from Console 5 and cracked open the case but I'm having issues figuring out how to get the shielding off for one. Yep, I'm a 5200 repair noob. Please be kind.

I have a 4-port 5200 that recently started experiencing graphical glitches with certain games. Moon Patrol and Space Invaders, for instance, start normally but become corrupted as the game progresses. Pitfall appeared as a jumbled mess and can't even be started. The 4-port is one that has been modified to accept the VCS adapter. I also have a 2-port 5200 and tried both Moon Patrol and Space Invaders on there and both work fine. Pitfall, as expected, doesn't work. My phone is dead at the moment so I can't share images of what's occurring but I will update as soon as I can. If anyone has any ideas of what I can check in the meantime, please let me know. Thanks!

ROMs for use with LTO Flash?
bikeguychicago replied to bikeguychicago's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
I was just seeing if there was an aggregate thread containing the information or not as it would be more concise for everyone. I've been on the forums for awhile. It's just been a long time coming for me to actually pull the switch on the flash cart (since I've pretty much abandoned the quest for the 125). I think my wife would rather us be one payment closer to owning our house than me owning a boxed copy of Spiker. -
I'm also impressed that you managed to fit all of those Ataris on one shelf, especially with a 5200 and 5200 Trak-Ball side-by-side

The only things missing are the beams of light coming from the cart wall

Download Li'l Bro ii digital game ROMs free
bikeguychicago replied to decle's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
It's interesting that Lil' Bro had smaller fonts than its big brother. -
I'm looking to purchase an LTO Flash in the near future and was wondering if there a thread or web page being maintained that lists the ROMs available (specifically homebrews) for use with the LTO Flash cart? I didn't specifically see one in my searches. I have both the Intellivision Lives and Rocks CDs so I have most of the Mattel/Intv ROMs covered Plus, I've also purchased a few ROM images from Carl in the past. I looking more for homebrews I've missed out on throughout the years that are either freely available or available for a purchase. Thanks!

BYO Atari 7800 Controller - Schematic for dummys
bikeguychicago replied to Wyluli Wolf's topic in Atari 7800
I love the schematic but I have two additional questions: 1. Does it matter how many watts the 620 Ohm resistor is? If so, what is the correct wattage needed (I see anything from an 1/8 watt up a 5 watt ones on the Frys site, for example)? 2. What orientation should the resistors be in regards to the diagram above? Thanks! -
Goals for 2018 (intv speaking)?
bikeguychicago replied to Lathe26's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
Finish off my boxed Imagic collection (need a Fathom) and maybe the ECS collection. I need a Jetsons for the ECS but don't know if I want to spend that much on a game that will probably just sit on a shelf when that money could go toward an LTO flash or homebrew. -
CollectorVision Phoenix Game Console
bikeguychicago replied to retroillucid's topic in CollectorVision
My question is how the plug for the Roller Controller will be handled. Will some sort of adapter be needed to supply power to it or will it be plug-compatible with the old CV plugs?
