New homebrew called "Rocketeer"
Rick Reynolds replied to GroovyBee's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
Any chance of a ROM release as well? Even as just an add-on to the cart release? I'm definitely in for a copy, in whatever form(s) it is made available. Thanks for another great looking home-brew! -
Congratulations, BTW. It's a real milestone.

And a further note... 136th screen??? My mind is wobbling on that one! I thought I was doing pretty good getting to screen 20! -
Carol vs. The World! - Official Winners
Rick Reynolds replied to DZ-Jay's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
This was really great! Congrats to all the winners! And major congrats to you, DZ. The enthusiasm I saw on the boards for your game must be very satisfying. Now to get working on a game of my own... -
mapping usb controller to jzIntv
Rick Reynolds replied to DZ-Jay's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
I've done this a bit. You just need to know which controller jzintv sees as which. I typically use the joy_diag.rom and/or event_diag.rom ROMs that come with jzintv to figure out what jzintv sees for a given controller. Then you add lines to the kbdhackfile of the form: JS0_<dir> PD0L_D_<dir> or JS0_<dir> PD0L_J_<dir> I've never used the _J_ form - I have always used _D_. I'm not sure how the two are handled differently. More info is in the kbdhackfile.txt file in the doc dir. -

HSC Season #3 - Game #15 Carol vs the WORLD!
Rick Reynolds replied to cparsley's topic in Intellivision High Score Club
I'll throw a score in. Not my best by far, but I've gotten a little too frustrated with it to continue more tonight. -
The Intellivision Homebrew Idea Thread
Rick Reynolds replied to IntellivisionDude's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
I know a reasonable answer is just "play the rom a bit, lazy bones", but anyone want to chime in with some details on the number of levels, types of changes, etc., in the Burgertime hacks? Burgertime was always a fun game, but I never got into it to the point that I was dying to play the hacked up versions. -
Christmas Carol reviews start coming in...
Rick Reynolds replied to DZ-Jay's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
Congratulations! An A+ rating on videogamecritic is very good! I really like his intellivision reviews. I'll be posting a review of the game from the standpoint of how it plays on an arcade box sometime in December. (spoiler: it plays very well!) -
D2K ARCADE ROM now available!
Rick Reynolds replied to Carl Mueller Jr's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
AWESOME! Payment sent, rom received, enjoyment had on my MAME cab! I really hope this rom-selling works out well for the creators of games like this. Seems like a good way to get a little extra money out of all that hard work. Thanks much, Carl! -
I'm a bit late on this idea - are there adult sized glasses made with plastic instead of cardboard available somewhere? Looking on Amazon, I only see cardboard.

I've been thinking... But I do need to get more INTV programming done.

I've been thinking that we need two more holiday games now - Halloween and Thanksgiving.

Intelligentvision is officially closed!
Rick Reynolds replied to Darrin9999's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
I certainly have had nothing but positive experiences with David and wish him well in pursuing whatever other hobbies he would like to! He certainly made wonderful contributions to the Intellivision scene. -
How many versions of Orphan Overlays were released?
Rick Reynolds replied to Rev's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
No problems. I probably won't get to it until later in the week, but I'll get you a pic or two. -
How many versions of Orphan Overlays were released?
Rick Reynolds replied to Rev's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
My set is as complete as it was when I bought it. I don't know if Psycho added other overlays for homebrews and such after my set was run. I'll gladly work on some shots of it. What kind of detail are you wanting to see? One pic per overlay pairing? Or is would a few pics with 20-30 overlays in each show you want you want to see? -
How many versions of Orphan Overlays were released?
Rick Reynolds replied to Rev's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
I really feel like I missed out on this era of stuff. I bought a set of series 1 orphan overlays (no box) and then dropped out of the scene and never realized that the later releases were made. I would have love to have a box! I've never taken photos of all of them, but I could if that's helpful. -
Yeah, me too. At least take some pics of every page. Agreed! I'd love to see what that catalog looked like. I've bought every IntelligentVision release as they came out over the years and I've never seen that one.
