Hey Rick, I gave you credit for the 125 pic! BTW, If you see any changes to your page or want to add anything just let me know. No problem to make any adjustments. Thanks again!

Wow, thanks so much for setting up a webpage for me. I assumed I'd have to populate it myself.

I got me a Intellivision Music Synthesizer
Rick Reynolds replied to IntellivisionDude's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
Wow, I guess this guy lacks video editing software. Lots of unwatchable stuff there. -
I don't know if this is amusing or sad... Last night I was thinking about the two "variants" of Thin Ice and was convinced that there are two rom images floating around out there, usually named "dunvoo.rom" and "voodun.rom". So I checked my collection and didn't find the voodun variant. Eventually I hit the web in search of a rom to download, thinking I had lost it somewhere along the way. I found this posting to the intvprog list: http://games.groups....og/message/6637 Yep, found my own posting asking the very same question over a year ago! It didn't get a response, so I figured I'd ask here. Anyone seen a voodun variant and/or have a rom image? NOTE: the original link in that posting doesn't work. This is an updated link to that content: http://www.intellivi...its/intv1.shtml It seems that something at intellivisionlives.com has been hacked a bit because invalid links redirect you somewhere else completely.

Its beggining to look like Christmas!

Good luck. The game is awesome, but I found it crazy hard! -
I'm not quite sure what this is. Did this guy actually burn a nonsense rom and is selling a cart? Or is it just a fake box, label, etc., slapped onto an existing common cart? ---- Erk, forgive the uninformed posting. He says in the ebay listing: "You will receive one box cover, one cartridge label and 1 Instruction booklet cover printed inside & out. Made just for fun." So there is no cart, etc. I'm not sure this is "a must for any collector of home video games."

Brag about your other systems and games
Rick Reynolds replied to Dryfter's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
That's a system I've always wanted to get into. I played with a Vectrex for just a few weeks back in the summer of 1983 (?) and really liked the handful of games that the owner had for it. -

Ah, right. That 35 number is the original text adventures only, which is what I have my sights on at the moment. I do have Grand Inquisitor, Nemesis, and Return to Zork as well. I mentioned having the collections, but here's the list: Lost Treasures of Infocom 1, Lost Treasures of Infocom 2 (one floppy copy + one CDROM copy), Masterpieces, Adventure collection, Mystery collection, Comedy collection, Scifi collection, Fantasy collection, and the Zork Anthology. I put together a little spreadsheet to see how many "game licenses" that makes since I've ended up buying multiple copies of many of these games. It's showing 135. -
We had one when I was young. My father bought the INTV when it was really just that or Atari VCS and he saw the superior nature of the graphics and processor in the INTV. It's kinda funny: he has since told me he kinda regretted that choice when we would run up to the neighbor's house to play on their Atari - he felt he had pushed his choice onto us. But I've since told him that the INTV games have more staying power and more replay value (at least for me) and that I'm very glad he did what he did. I started getting into collecting around 2003 when I got laid off from a job. I think I just needed something to keep me active!

I'm definitely getting one. Been a beta tester on this game for a year!

Sounds good! I'll try to get some LNC gaming going before the end of the current contest. -
Intellivision HSC Rules & Regulations

New to the forums; I like this idea very much. I have a quick question regarding emulation vs real hardware for scoring. Is there any limitations on controllers? Some games really shine when played with a better (*cough*) controller. For instance, I see the current game is Lock-n-Chase. I usually play that game on my arcade cabinet via emulation using an original Pacman joystick. I can do a lot better in this arrangement than I can with an inty controller. Is that allowed in the HSC? Frowned upon? To be honest, that's how I play 95+% of my Intellivision gaming. I'd probably participate in a bunch of these if I can use my arcade cab controls. Of course, some games won't work well that way... -

I've started collecting Infocom games in the box with their feelies. I have around 10 of them so far - only 35 in the set. I do have all the prior collections, but in order to fully experience the games as they were intended, you really want to get the physical feelies. -

Nice play through to board 4. I worry that that may be the only way I'll see that board. This game is crazy hard for me. -
Announcing Christmas Carol's Grand World Debut
Rick Reynolds replied to DZ-Jay's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
dZ, I've said it on the mailing list but it bears repeating - this is an amazing accomplishment. I'm definitely envious and it's making me want to continue my deep dive into Tag Along Todd to better understand this system! As others have said, I can't wait to get a physical cart in my hands! -
Interesting. I understood that there was some indecision about where to put these games. I assumed that blue box would always equal space network, thus seeing the word action on there indicating a misprint rather than an intentional non-standard release.
-
Thanks for the kind words, all! cmart604, thanks especially for the info about the relative rarity of my Space Armada boxes. I kinda guessed that the misprinted one would be decently rare. It's nice to know. I doubt I'll be letting them go anytime soon...

Hmm... I think I'd like to be included in that list. (Yep, I'm very new here - just found out about this forum, been active on the intvprog list for a while) I happen to have just documented my collection tonight: http://www.rickandviv.net/index.php/my-intellivision-collection/
