  1. The Intellivisionaries Podcast is back on the air!! Or something like that. Episode 29 is finally up and ready to be downloaded. In this episode we review the Atarisoft game Pac-Man, and the IntelligentVision game Ms. Pac-Man. We also interview both programmers; Mike Winans (Pac-Man) and Carl Mueller Jr. (Ms. Pac-Man). Cmart (Christian Martin) joins us again, as does George, and a surprise guest during News. We’re gearing up for the Portland Retro Gaming Expo 2016, but not all the hosts could be present for all aspects of this episode. Due to that, and the fact that it’s almost Halloween as this episode is released, there may be some unusual occurrences in the timeline… http://intellivisionaries.com/episode-29-pacman-ms-pacman/
  2. Yes, I think even I would have noticed that... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. Woof, almost didn't see this one! I'm interested in one - any serial number. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. Thanks for that! You hit on what I was wondering. I like to *hope* that we are making the Intellivision library sound like something fun to try - much like Ferg does for me with the 2600 library. But I also know that any given podcast's presentation style might not be everyone's cup of tea. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. This is curiosity talking here, no implied complaint or anything. But I'm wondering what exactly you mean by "need to play the games like Ferg's 2600 podcast"? Do you mean that Ferg's presentation motivates you to go play? Or something else? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. Yep, I'm in this boat also. I put a good deal of effort into a command line tool for organizing my rom collection and I have modules to export lists of games into the CC3 file format as well as a format that works well with my MAME cab's front end. I'd love to write a module that could call out to some command line tool to push those same lists of games to the LTO. At this point, I'm doing double entry of my info - one in my tool (which has LOTS of history in it) and another into the LUI. I know I'm a crazy edge case here, so I'm not wanting anything fancy. I'm also not expecting anything soon - there are other and better ways for intvsteve to use his time right now.
  7. I expect to see piles of LTO Flash boxes formed into a bar with Cmart serving drinks behind it at PRGE! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. I'll give that a go this week, thanks Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. Hey guys, My Atari 7800 has cart port issues. I can get things to work less than 50% of the time, but when I do it usually has to do with bumping or pressing into the cart port. I'm wondering if there is anything to do to get this to be more solid. On another front, I've A/V modded the 7800, and I get no pokey audio from Ballblazer or Commando. I could have made a mistake in the audio bit of the mod (although it seems pretty simple) but since I have a cart port issue already I'm thinking it might be that instead. Anyway, I'd appreciate any cart port fixing tips. Rick Reynolds
  10. Cool! Hope you enjoy the game. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. I've been told we need to check out Pizzicato while we're there. http://www.pizzicatopizza.com/ Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. And a new Holiday Special Podcast as well... ... Um, wrong forum? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. Hmm... I don't think I noticed that systems come on after repair - if that's true, then it might explain it.
  14. I play with the controller cradled in my left hand, my left thumb able to press action buttons while my right thumb manipulates the disc. I usually press the top action button for firing in games where both do the same. So top button for me.
  15. In this episode we review the Mattel Intellivoice game Space Spartans. We interview the programmers Steve Roney and Bill Fisher. Rick reviews the Atari and Imagic box collection from Mark Oberhauser. Paul interviews Don Switzer and Gary Magnan about their upcoming Intellivision homebrew multi-game, which benefits Óscar ‘Nanochess’ Toledo (creator of IntyBASIC and several homebrew games). And of course George is here, along with our usual Feedback and News. http://intellivisionaries.com/episode-28-space-spartans/
  16. Yep. We've never used this on the show (never brought it up to Paul) but Jonathan Coulton did a song about George's life that's kinda poignant. I like it.
  17. This crap always makes me sad. Willie, you're one of the most positive, fun-loving guys doing podcasts. I consider myself lucky to be on Intarivisions with you, and have enjoyed the last couple of CORGS shows where we got to hang out together. I can't identify with anyone who would be negative about any of the podcasting stuff you do. "Let Ferg do this" - as if you pushed Ferg out of involvement or something! And just stating the obvious: Ferg can do a 5200 show if he wants to. Nothing's stopping him. Oh hai, Ferg! Anyway, I really enjoy your podcast shows, Willie. Anything you put out goes right to the top of my podcast player for the day's listening.
  18. "I don't like podcasts, and I don't understand how anyone would!" "Especially that Ferg guy..."
  19. If I'm the first in I'd be glad to take this compromise to get the cart earlier.
  20. Agreed - he's been updating the thread from time to time. I'm decently hopeful I'll get one soon...
  21. Heh, yep - I'm patiently waiting for a Channel F multicart. Definitely hope to have it before this year's Extra Life gaming day.
  22. Awesome! Looking forward to it. Your game improvements are always welcome, intvdave! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
