  1. I loved my jaguar i am currently looking for another one because i had mine fry which sucks i loved my jaguar and my jaguar cd yea it wasn't the fastest nor the best system but for fun it kicked some major butt
  2. Actually Cybermorph came with several different version's inlay's and no inlay's as well. Let me explain.... 1. Launch versions when the jaguar launched came with a shiny overlay for the controller 2. Second generations came with a much more duller looking overlay. 3. Last Generation when atari was liquidating jaguars at stores like EBGAMES and KB Toy Stores Came with no overlay just a updated manual that explained what the numbers did. So there are a total of three versions for the jaguar.
  3. this is why i purchase items from thrift stores cheaper and better deals i got a oddyessy 2 for 25.00 with all the games in it's original box all i need is the speech synthesizer But with atari the amazing thing is people really want them my atari crystal castles machine even with restoration is currently going for 900.00 even if they don't function and i purchased mine for 250.00
  4. Awesome!!!!! Hey if you could get this to work with wineskin you could have a pretty cool emulator that windows and mac users could use nice work for starters i didn't really have any issues with emulators in the past but you are right the horizon problem was common with a lot of emulators but keep up the amazing work
  5. Ok this mod is not for beginners the idea of this mod has been used to repair other handhelds of the 80's / 90's era have not attempted this on a lynx yet but even if you are thinking about replacements for the screen this won't stop you from purchasing a replacement screen this might even buy you some time and save you some money if the scratches are minor. I came across this mod in my travels when i was visiting a anime convention i noticed a classic gamer with a game gear with a very shiny screen i was curious about how he got a game gear in such mint condition his response was interesting mint he said mines not mint I'm the original owner i just resurfaced the screen resurfaced i ask what type of mod is that a simple one he replied he states that if you don't want to replace the screen on a game gear you can give the screen a shine job using automotive clear coat and wax i was very interested with this idea the explanation was pretty cool you tape off around the screen with some painters tape i asked why painters tape his respond because when you go to peal up the tape it will leave a nice edge on the screen i thought cool he say's then you need to take your time and only do this mod if the scratches are minor major scratches it doesn't work on i thought ok because at the time i was looking to redo my turbo grafx portable and found this to be interesting once the clear coat dry's you just peal off the tape and give it a light wax enough to polish it up then he stated after that if you want you can take a psp screen protector the stick on kind and mod it to the screen with a pair of scissors so i tried this mod on a old game gear shot to %^&^% game gear the screen was dying so it was no real loss to me if i messed up on this mod but low and behold it worked later on i replaced the internals on the game gear and gave it to a friend for christmas because he wanted one so badly. Now because the lynx has a similar screen it might work i have no idea if it would or not and even if it messes up you would still have to replace the screen cover anyways so no real loss if you where planing on a screen cover replacement anyways. it's something that might be worth trying????
  6. Thank you!!! There is another temporary repair technique that i will post here for everyone with a lynx it does repair the scratched screen nicely on devices from the 80's and 90's like the lynx and game gear and turbo express of which i own all of them.
  7. I can explain these Really quick. What you have is a Atari lynx Demo model it was designed to be used in stores to sell the atari lynx several versions have appeared one with poker strapped to it one with S.T.U.N Gunner screwed into it there have been several the idea of these devices where simple when showing off the device at gaming conferences or at stores they didn't want stores selling display models so they rigged the display models to one cartridge for the reason of not being able to steal the lynx and use it as a normal console i would hold on to it because they are rare and a piece of history.
  8. Ok i have a atari crystal castles arcade machine. I have been restoring it for many years i read from another pamphlet that the crystal castles machine could be changed into dig dug and even austrailia has anyone seen this done before??????????? I was just curious
  9. Ok First off Greetings My name is Johnodd4 I'M New here so i will get down to it I purchased a Atari lynx from a nice shop called pink gorilla located in the china town district of seattle washington. What i have is this: Atari lynx Version 1 (or big birtha as many people call it. The Atari lynx lynx com cable The atari lynx Car adapter (non-functional unknown why????) The atari lynx AC Adapter (non-functional unknown why?????) The Atari lynx soft case for the all the games and accessories. Sun visor for the atari lynx One game will purchase more called S.T.U.N. Runner Now i have several questions. 1. As you saw the AC Adapters both for car and for home where included but not functional and i don't know why i plug them in and nothing and no it cannot be the lynx because it powers up just fine on batteries no problems. 2. Has anyone tried to use a screen magnifier on the Atari lynx i am looking for a screen replacement shield i was thinking about making one out of a magnified rear window stick on for cars but if there is one that i could mod it would be better also does it work??? is it worth Doing.... 3. has anyone tried to make a lan based adapter for the lynx for lynx com don't get me wrong i don't want to connect it to the internet just lynx to lynx and the link com cable is kinda flimsy. those are my primary questions.
